OMG! We just lost Fetterman

He's on Truth Social now?! Just made his first post.

by Anonymousreply 119December 12, 2024 3:11 PM

What a fucking attention whoring brain dead asshole

by Anonymousreply 1December 11, 2024 8:46 PM

That’s either fake, or he’s more mentally ill than we thought.

by Anonymousreply 2December 11, 2024 8:47 PM

"OMG" is right. Why did he think this was a good idea? What the FUCK.

by Anonymousreply 3December 11, 2024 8:47 PM

It's not fake, R2, it's in Newsweek and their posting about it over on DU. Huge thread.

by Anonymousreply 4December 11, 2024 8:47 PM

So the 12 people on the jury were "politically motivated"?

by Anonymousreply 5December 11, 2024 8:49 PM

Guessing some sexual assault allegations are about to come out involving him and he knows the GOP will have his back

by Anonymousreply 6December 11, 2024 8:50 PM

He is mentally ill

by Anonymousreply 7December 11, 2024 8:51 PM

It's because he is going to run in 2028 and he knows Trump is popular. He is building his base which will consist of stealing some males back from the republicans.

by Anonymousreply 8December 11, 2024 8:51 PM

Some of us got it right when we preferred Conor Lamb. A sane white moderate male senator from Pennsylvania. Just what we would have needed to win to back the White House.

by Anonymousreply 9December 11, 2024 8:52 PM

We can expect to see a ton of cowardly repositioning in the next four years. It's a good thing because it will reveal who the real pieces of shit are.

by Anonymousreply 10December 11, 2024 8:55 PM

[QUOTE] It's because he is going to run in 2028 and he knows Trump is popular. He is building his base which will consist of stealing some males back from the republicans.

Well I guess that makes this OK then.

by Anonymousreply 11December 11, 2024 8:55 PM

r11 It definitely doesn't make it ok. I just call it like I see it. She should have picked Shapiro. But then again, it shouldn't have been her as no one from this current administration would have won.

by Anonymousreply 12December 11, 2024 8:57 PM

Disgusting and idiotic.

by Anonymousreply 13December 11, 2024 8:58 PM

In another era, his physical & mental health issues would’ve been disqualifying. Will he wear a hoodie to his presidential inauguration?

by Anonymousreply 14December 11, 2024 8:58 PM

He’s also agreed to meet with Hegseth.

by Anonymousreply 15December 11, 2024 9:00 PM

He could easily do this on X. Why go over to Trump's truth social? Is he getting some $$$ behind the scenes?

by Anonymousreply 16December 11, 2024 9:01 PM

Cant wait to vote against him

by Anonymousreply 17December 11, 2024 9:05 PM

The cruise liner you are on is sinking. Two life boats await.

One life boat looks fit as can be and the people are all happy and are enjoying bubbly.

The other life boat, the one with a few leaks, is full of unhappy people who are arguing and bitching about the boat they are on and the others on the boat .

For many looking for a place to land especially the young, this choice of which boat to swim for is not going to be all that difficult.

by Anonymousreply 18December 11, 2024 9:09 PM

[quote] He could easily do this on X. Why go over to Trump's truth social?

Politicians need to meet voters where the voters are. Some are there.

by Anonymousreply 19December 11, 2024 9:09 PM

Has he been on TYT lately? These folks all seem to be slowly turning into RWNJs.

by Anonymousreply 20December 11, 2024 9:10 PM

He will be a Republican by the end of his term.

by Anonymousreply 21December 11, 2024 9:11 PM

He hasn’t really been that effective. Casey was a harder worker

by Anonymousreply 22December 11, 2024 9:13 PM

[quote] He will be a Republican by the end of his term.

He would certainly have more power and influence if he were to choose to caucus with the Republicans in the next Congress.

by Anonymousreply 23December 11, 2024 9:17 PM

Before his health issue he had a reasonable amount of common sense - since then his foundation has a serious crack in it. With all the SHIT that DUMP caused, before, during J6 and after, he should burn in a giant vat of used french fry oil on the mall to draw more attention to the upcoming inauguration which will have sparse at best. I really don't care - do you!

by Anonymousreply 24December 11, 2024 9:17 PM

^ 'sparse attendance'

by Anonymousreply 25December 11, 2024 9:19 PM

Fetterman to meet with Pete Hegseth tomorrow (12/12). Fetterman will be the first Democrat to meet in person with the embattled nominee.

by Anonymousreply 26December 11, 2024 9:24 PM

Fetterman better wash his hands after the handshake.

by Anonymousreply 27December 11, 2024 9:25 PM

[QUOTE] It's because he is going to run in 2028 and he knows Trump is popular.

Running for re-election in the Senate, I hope you mean. This guy should not run for President.

by Anonymousreply 28December 11, 2024 9:27 PM

He’s not stupid. He knows what needs to be done to win in a state that just flipped Red. I’m a PA resident, and I’ll be voting for him again.

by Anonymousreply 29December 11, 2024 9:27 PM

Maybe Fetterman just wants to offer him a drink.

by Anonymousreply 30December 11, 2024 9:29 PM

R29 then it comes down to power versus integrity.

by Anonymousreply 31December 11, 2024 9:30 PM

[quote][R29] then it comes down to power versus integrity.

Democrats need to stop caring about integrity. The other side doesn’t, and they keep winning.

by Anonymousreply 32December 11, 2024 9:36 PM

“ we are losers but we have integrity”

Vote Democratic Party in 2028.

by Anonymousreply 33December 11, 2024 9:41 PM

I feel sorry for all the cornballs that supported this Frankenstein. He couldn't even bother to wear pants to senate meetings

by Anonymousreply 34December 11, 2024 9:41 PM

He's right about the Trump pardon though. I wish Biden had pardoned Trump early in his term. That would have eliminated some of the legal issues Trump faced and he may not have decided to run again. All the cases did was bind his base to him more tightly.

If I'm Biden, I pardon Trump and Faucci, the 1/6 commission and anyone else who I think Trump will go after.

by Anonymousreply 35December 11, 2024 9:46 PM

No Fetterman fan, but he is Pennsylvania’s best bet to keep that Senate seat in the Democrats’s hands in ‘28.

by Anonymousreply 36December 11, 2024 9:51 PM

I'm a lifelong dem but please shit in my mouth

by Anonymousreply 37December 11, 2024 9:52 PM

You bitches need to CHILL THE FUCK OUT. No, it is not a "betrayal" to merely set up an account on Truth Social. It does not, in ANY way, mean we've "lost Fetterman." He sides with Trump on Israel and literally nothing else.

I suspect R8 is correct, and Fetterman's seen the writing on the wall and knows the Democrats are fucked unless they can somehow release the GOP's iron grip on working-class white America.

by Anonymousreply 38December 11, 2024 9:53 PM

It's not just working class white America. Republicans are building a coalition of Latino, Black and white working class voters. While Democrats are ow nthe party of the college educated (the minority party.)

by Anonymousreply 39December 11, 2024 9:56 PM

"I’m a PA resident,"

Are you one of the idiots, so concerned about good American manufacturing jobs being sent overseas, you voted for the guy who made his personal billionaire fortune by sending good American manufacturing jobs overseas?

by Anonymousreply 40December 11, 2024 10:01 PM

Fetterman is an extremely busy bee this week:

Wow. Elise Stefanik? How could he endorse her?

by Anonymousreply 45December 11, 2024 10:17 PM

Orangina is calling for the deportation of all Mexicans. Orangina makes no difference between Mexican or Brazilian, they're all from the south of the border.

by Anonymousreply 46December 11, 2024 10:17 PM

Mary!

by Anonymousreply 47December 11, 2024 10:18 PM

I'm giving him 8 months tops before he officially announces that he's an Independent, and then consistently vote with MAGA Republicans.

by Anonymousreply 48December 11, 2024 10:19 PM

It seems to be the playbook now, R48. Manchin and Tulsi did it. But how do we keep these Pod People out of the Democratic party in the first place? Is there some early warning detection?

by Anonymousreply 49December 11, 2024 10:21 PM

[quote]He's the Millenial Manchin!

Glad I don't live in PA anymore.

by Anonymousreply 54December 11, 2024 10:24 PM

I swear I think these people (Manchin, Sinema, Fetterman, etc.) are Republicans running as Democrats only to get elected and wreck shop. It’s time we start running some Dems as Repugs so that when they get elected they can caucus solely with the liberals.

by Anonymousreply 55December 11, 2024 10:33 PM

Please don’t (continue to) lump Manchin with the others. Manchin was the only Democrat who could win West Virginia. Anything we got from a Democrat elected from that state was gravy. And we happened to get a lot from Manchin, including his sure vote for judges & the Senate majority Biden’s first two years.

by Anonymousreply 56December 11, 2024 10:41 PM

The OnLy DeMoCRAt wHo cOULD Win. And how did that work out?

by Anonymousreply 57December 11, 2024 10:44 PM

"Some of us got it right when we preferred Conor Lamb."

Yes, I have fond memories of being pilloried on here because of my distrust of Fetterman and support for Conor Lamb.

But the DL Lynch Mob mentality is always correct, which explains why the Democrats lose so many damn elections.

by Anonymousreply 58December 11, 2024 10:48 PM

[quote]He's Sinema v2.0 and even more right wing than she was (she was simply greedy.) He loves his newly acquired FOX News watching fanbase.

WTF? How on *earth* was THAT your takeaway from the article? The only thing Fetterman "likes" about going on Fox News is tearing them new assholes.

Fetterman has – in spades – the one trait almost never seen among the GOP these days: empathy. (Which may explain his unusual views on Israel.)

by Anonymousreply 59December 11, 2024 10:48 PM

The man wears basketball culottes to work and Truth Social is a shock to you?

by Anonymousreply 63December 11, 2024 11:03 PM

R45, if he wants to show his bipartisan bona fides, he can’t be an automatic no on every nomination.

by Anonymousreply 64December 11, 2024 11:07 PM

by Anonymousreply 65December 11, 2024 11:09 PM

[quote]And yet here he is agreeing with Trump that the legal cases against him are only due to politics

Oh sure, bury the lede that Fetterman only flipped after Biden pardoned Hunter. Plenty of Dems were pissed about that, too, including Fetterman.

I'm guessing you cunts also missed that both Harris and Gavin Newsom previously joined Truth Social as well. Are they "traitors," too?

by Anonymousreply 66December 11, 2024 11:14 PM

Fetterflip

by Anonymousreply 67December 11, 2024 11:19 PM

by Anonymousreply 68December 11, 2024 11:21 PM

r66 Are you an idiot? He supports the Biden pardon right there in his post.

by Anonymousreply 69December 11, 2024 11:36 PM

by Anonymousreply 71December 11, 2024 11:52 PM

He's a sloth in a hoodie and sweat pants. Very disrespectful of the position he holds in Congress. I guess if they allow MTG to wear a horse costume to 'work' then I guess they have decided to overlook the goons attire.

by Anonymousreply 72December 11, 2024 11:53 PM

by Anonymousreply 73December 11, 2024 11:54 PM

True, and it shows how dumbed down the society is that he was elected.

by Anonymousreply 74December 11, 2024 11:58 PM

He's not lost. He's actually using his brain (addled thought it may be). And the Democrats clutching their pearls are missing the forest for the trees.

by Anonymousreply 75December 12, 2024 12:12 AM

HE only got his job because Democrats showed up for him over Dr. Oz. He should remember that.

by Anonymousreply 76December 12, 2024 12:16 AM

[quote]Very disrespectful of the position he holds in Congress.

Considering the fuckery Congress has been up to in recent years, even his hobo attire may leave him overdressed for his ilk.

by Anonymousreply 77December 12, 2024 12:24 AM

Maybe he want to keep getting elected from Pennsylvania. Of course, the posters here don't care about Pennsylvania because it went for Trump this time. Good luck electing another Dem to the Presidency without it!! Of course, winning is beneath us. I get it.

by Anonymousreply 78December 12, 2024 12:26 AM

It won't be their coalition once all those groups get fucked. And they will.

by Anonymousreply 79December 12, 2024 12:31 AM

[quote]Please don’t (continue to) lump Manchin with the others. Manchin was the only Democrat who could win West Virginia. Anything we got from a Democrat elected from that state was gravy. And we happened to get a lot from Manchin, including his sure vote for judges & the Senate majority Biden’s first two years.

Manchin and Sinema's antics are single handedly responsible for Biden's approval numbers falling at the start of his presidency, a fall from which they never recovered (aside from a brief surge of support for Biden from pulling out of Afghanistan). Doesn't matter how much good he allegedly did (which is debatable) The bottom line is Manchin helped to sink Biden's presidency.

Furthermore, this "There's no one else to get in West Virginia" excuse doesn't hold water since democrats have never put one ounce of effort into getting someone who is perhaps 5% less moderate and right wing leaning than Manchin to primary him. The same party that could primary someone like Jamaal Bowman in a quick minute always just happens to have their hands tied when it comes to Joe Manchin? No one's buying it anymore.

You always have to have evidence to back up your claims. Otherwise, it's just hyperbole. And that's all those excuses for Manchin have ever been. A ten-pound bag of manure smelling hyperbole.

by Anonymousreply 87December 12, 2024 1:58 AM

No, R87, West Virginia is the absolute reddest of the red states. Manchin was a unicorn, a gift to the Democrats.

by Anonymousreply 88December 12, 2024 2:51 AM

by Anonymousreply 89December 12, 2024 2:55 AM

[quote]Manchin was a unicorn, a gift to the Democrats.

I would hardly call crippling Biden's presidency a gift by any means.

Maybe to the Republicans, of course.

by Anonymousreply 90December 12, 2024 2:56 AM

Who is this Mary who keeps defending Fettermen on this thread? Get a life.

by Anonymousreply 91December 12, 2024 2:56 AM

God help me for saying this but Manchin looks like someone who was probably hot in his younger days.

by Anonymousreply 92December 12, 2024 2:58 AM

Again, if nothing else, Manchin - from West Bugtussle of all places - gave Biden a Senate majority in ‘21 & ‘22. And he voted for his judges. A Democratic Senator from the reddest of red states. I know I’ll never live long enough to see that again. Some people here insist on making perfect the enemy of the (relatively) good.

by Anonymousreply 93December 12, 2024 3:03 AM

Only DL could turn a thread about Fetterman into a thread about Virginia.

by Anonymousreply 94December 12, 2024 3:10 AM

^Absolutely. also not getting rid of the filibuster will keep a Republican Senate from gutting Social Security and Medicare. Plus other nefarious shit they’re going to pull.

Sometimes it’s hard to believe how clueless some posters here are. Like the PUMA nuts who went after Hillary. Were they just stupid or part of a conspiracy? Who knows.

I prefer to look at what could be done should ALL democrats work together for the benefit of the people AND their party. Which is a much better outcome for the country AND party by the way.

The other logic is what has gotten us to this point. And it's why we lost and continue to lose.

by Anonymousreply 97December 12, 2024 3:41 AM

[quote] It's not just working class white America. Republicans are building a coalition of Latino, Black and white working class voters. While Democrats are ow nthe party of the college educated (the minority party.)

It's bizarro world. That happened in just 10 years. We can rely on Republicans to tip the scales back toward Dems though.

by Anonymousreply 98December 12, 2024 3:46 AM

I get the gooey sentiment, R97, but that sentiment has to be leavened with some real world reality. And that reality is that we were damned fortunate to have a Democratic senator from West Virginia.

[QUOTE] I get the gooey sentiment, [R97], but that sentiment has to be leavened with some real world reality. And that reality is that we were damned fortunate to have a Democratic senator from West Virginia.

by Anonymousreply 101December 12, 2024 3:54 AM

On that we agree, R101, but please explain how shitting on a Democratic senator from West Virginia is a winning strategy.

by Anonymousreply 102December 12, 2024 3:59 AM

R100, with the many knuckleheads here who were absolutely convinced Harris had the election in the bag, I think those of us who have more political sense need to be heard again & again.

The Senate is basically gone for the foreseeable future. With demographic shifts, the best that can be hoped for is a slight Dem majority with Synema/Manchin types essentially maintaining the status quo as they protect their chances of re-election. Certainly better than a GOP-led Senate but much needed legislative changes are off the table.

Progressive politics will only really occur at the state level.

by Anonymousreply 116December 12, 2024 12:15 PM

Which way is the wind blowing today?

by Anonymousreply 117December 12, 2024 12:16 PM

Thanks, Gen X, you stupid fucking cunts.

by Anonymousreply 118December 12, 2024 12:18 PM

[quote] The Senate is basically gone for the foreseeable future.

The electorate has been removing the anomalies in the red and blue states, like Tester and Brown, and the seat in WV. Someday the Collins seat will go blue. Control of the Senate will be determined, like the presidency, by the swing states. There will be 10 Democrats and 4 Republicans from the seven swing states. That suggests Republicans have more opportunity to gain in those states to even it out.
