Kirkland did a wonderfully awful softcore film in the early '90s with Jsu Garcia (aka Nick Corri from the first "Nightmare on Elm Street" movie) called "In The Heat of Passion". In "Anna", Sally is ritualistically treated like garbage by everyone in New York, up to including Paulina Porizkova. It's a great time period for NYC exteriors. as Sally's Anna, a former star actress in her home country of Uppermost Bulgaria, is reduced to humiliation in an NYC acting scene of the mid-80's.

That aside, I strongly disagree that Kellerman won't be remembered and Kirkland will. I'd argue, all talent aside, that Kellerman is already far better-known than Kirkland has ever been. Kirkland is a cult figure if anything, and "Anna," the film which she got her Oscar nom for, was really only seen by a small number of cinephiles—it was a one-off critical high note for her. When you look at her career, most of her roles have been minor parts. Kellerman had far more mainstream success, and appeared in a number of minor classics directed by esteemed filmmakers ("Brewster McCloud", "M*A*S*H", "The Boston Strangler," "Foxes").

But both will always be remembered as long as there is a Data Lounge!!
