SNL was delayed 13 minutes in Las Vegas. It started with the Domingo skit and seemed like it started after the monologue. Is this the first episode that starts without a political opener after No Kings day?

This show’s format is so cemented in place, that I think the silver-afro’d dude and the always despondent-looking adjacent woman in the band, probably remain attached to and live on those seats 7 days a week.

My skit pitch - "Yas, Kings Rally" Kings Midas, Kong, Three, Joffrey, Henry VIII, etc. hanging out and extolling their reigns, each boosting the others. There's a knock at the door and, through the peephole, we see donald. holding a golden arches bag. The kings back away from the door on tip toe, signaling all to keep quiet, shutting off the lights while donald pounds on the door, "Guys? It's me! Open up! Guys? Guys?"

Well, the cute guy got an Update segment, and I have to agree that he's not funny.

R47, R49, don't mind R48, they have some sort of issue with political humor which involves more than one person per skit. I think it may have to do with impairment of their gray matter.

If it weren't for Disney, Taylor Swift and Aunt Bart Simpson this narcissistic industry plant nepo baby bitch would be nothing. I hate the Domingo sketches, but to be fair the No Kings rallies just happened hours before the show aired. They can't write, make costumes, and build sets (and rehearse) for entire new skits in a matter of hours.

The first three episodes have been brutal. This season is on track to join 94–95, or even 80–81.

I wonder if the delay caused everything to feel off.

And Sabrina dropped two F bombs on live tv. She probably won’t be asked back anytime soon.

I thought a few sketches really worked (the opening was awful) but most of it didn't. I did laugh more than I should have at the massage pillow sketch.

The weird thing about with the Domingo sketches is Marcello Hernandez is indeed fuckable in them, but they're just never funny.

Domingo is NOT an appropriate opening especially with all that going on...No Kings protests nationwide, government shutdown, etc.

R71. Even without doing an opening skit about No Kings, SNL still should have prepared something political (from which there are plenty to choose) for the opening. The opening skit is supposed to be about something topical and current. Domingo is neither. The reason people tune in is to see and hear a spoof about speaking truth to power. Domingo is perfectly fine as a skit for any number of comedy bits throughout the show--but not the opening. And just so you know, the opening skit is not always prepared early in the week.

So STFU.

R71, still doesn't get it. This show has been doing political humor since its inception. No Kings march was scheduled weeks in advance. It was the perfect topic to cover for the cold opening. Also, they are changing lines of dialogue up until they go live. You sound young or you don't know too much about this show.

A lot of these sketches started good but the 'funny' part never got there.

Ashley Padilla can do sketch comedy well it appears. She has lots of potential.

Ashley Padilla is most impressive of all the newer cast members. She's going to be the standout.

Her happy, smiling, carefree presence was just what I needed on a dreary weekend. She's a wee thing, but I hope she has a film career ahead of her- she's very photogenic.

She hasn't demonstrated anything that can hold a candle to Amy Poehler, Kristen Wiig, Cecily Strong, Molly Shannon, Jan Hooks, et. al.
