Sorkin is a liberal New York Democrat. He wasn't "praising" Trump. He also ridiculed Arnoolds stupid "Dems and GOP should work together" bullshit.

R5, even John Heilemann, whose anti-Trump bona fides have never been in dispute, said on his podcast that one is truly suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome if one cannot acknowledge what he has accomplished in getting both a ceasefire in Gaza & the release of hostages. And lest my anti-Trump bona fides come into question, please note I have canceled those who have used that characterization to tar Trump critics.

Arnold seems out of touch with the reality of national politics today.

Maher has lost his edge. A once interesting political commentator, he has become just another broke dick.

And again, no female guests. I side with Katie Porter.

I vacillate between “hate watching” and watching for some enjoyment. But Maher is pretty uneven in the quality of his monologues and New Rules segments. Some are funnier, sharper and more incisive than others. At his worst, he can be a real smirking jerk. But he does land some very clever jokes and I do agree when he calls out idealists and zealots (both parties).

R12 = Trump gets his voters out on Election Day. The only reason JD Vance won was because Trump endorsed him. The same way Bernie Moreno won---and Moreno had a ton of baggage.

I assume you're talking about their primary wins. Once they were the nominees, their elections were guaranteed in the ruby red Ohio.

R24 = Correct. But JD Vance almost lost. Josh Mandel was poised to win until the Trump endorsement. It was a surprise because Mandal was a true MAGA republican and Vance had been poised as a "Hollywood" type who had insulted Trump in 2016 interviews. Trump had hinted he wasn't going to endorse anyone in the primary, and true to form, he changed his mind for no reason at all.
