Airports in more than a half-dozen U.S. markets have declined to display a video in which Homeland Security Secretary Kristi L. Noem blames congressional Democrats for the government shutdown and any related travel delays, citing the political nature of its content, according to local authorities. Officials that oversee airports serving Buffalo, Charlotte, Cleveland, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Seattle and Portland, Oregon, said the video could violate internal policies that bar political messaging or contravene state or federal laws that prohibit the use of public resources for political activity. “We believe the Hatch Act clearly prohibits use of public assets for political purposes and messaging,” said Molly Prescott, a spokesperson for the Port of Portland, which operates Portland International Airport. Enacted in 1939, the Hatch Act bars federal employees from engaging in politics while on the job and is meant to ensure that federal programs are administered in a nonpartisan fashion. Oregon law also precludes public employees from promoting or opposing political parties during working hours, Prescott said, noting: “This is the first time to our knowledge that the Port has declined to play a video.”

Is she posing in front of a group of caged travelers during the message?

Bow, or Kristi Noem will fire her gun into your face, point blank. That's how she "dealt with" her own young dog's puppy antics, why should you be treated differently?
Enough of this woman and her "we will get you" public service announcements. High time we took cable providers to task for broadcasting this propaganda.

I hope Molly Prescott's taxes are in order, because you know what's coming.

Maybe the airports get Tina Fey to impersonate Puppy Killer Noem and film a comedy routine?

In every movie where a public place has a government face saying the same message on a loop, the government is the bad guy

Good, I don't want to see her propaganda.

I had a flight the other day, and the TSA checkpoint had a video of her babbling about security or something.
She is so damn ugly.

I flew out of Providence yesterday and they didn't have it, or anything else, playing. In Atlanta's cattle maze of a security line last week they were playing a video of her, but the sound was off or down so low she couldn't be heard, thank god. I think this was before the latest one, however. She really is a nasty piece of shit.

[quote]– Cleveland Hopkins International Airport won’t show the controversial new video in which Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi L. Noem blames congressional Democrats for the federal government shutdown due to the partisan nature of the message.
[quote]“CLE cannot display the Department of Homeland Security video,” said Megan O’Connell, assistant director for marketing, communications and guest experience. “As a publicly operated facility, CLE is not permitted to display content that could be viewed as political or partisan.”

[quote]Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem is discovering that nothing unites Congress like a disaster check that won’t clear. A growing bloc of furious Republicans is blasting Noem for bottlenecking billions in FEMA recovery dollars, with one GOP lawmaker snarling that the secretary should show “more f—— respect” for the institution she once served. Their gripe is simple: towns are drowning in paperwork while Noem slow-walks approvals and ducks calls.

[quote]Not content with being the face of Donald Trump’s war on immigrants, which delights his MAGA fans, Department of Homeland Security Kristi Noem may be plotting out her next move, according to Salon’s Heather Digby Parton.
[quote]Pointing out that it appears Trump advisor Stephen Miller is calling the shots for DHS, with Lewandowski running the department, Parton wrote that Noem has happily settled into being the face of Trump’s signature policy in the belief that the exposure will raise her profile so she can make a White House run.
[quote]In Salon, Parton wrote, “... in the meantime, Noem and Lewandowski are working night and day together, preparing for the next step in her political career. She’s clearly swinging for the fences, and is almost certainly planning a run for president in 2028.”
