I just went through a half wheel of Roquefort from Costco! It was delicious!

The cheese does not have a microchip in it.

The rind does. And the rind of Parmigiano Reggiano cheese is not eaten.

I tend to eat the rind, so I'll have to study up on this. Still, I'd rather eat a microchip than (buy) fake cheese.

All I can say is, my fat whore self will have a lot of microchips in me if this is the cheese vehicle

R2 I was going to say there is no such thing as an edible microchip and there never will be unless AI finds some brilliant way to alter our digestive tracts. But that makes sense. Another article with a click bait headline.

Parmigiano cheese is linked to cancer.

by Anonymousreply 6October 12, 2025 8:11 AM

Biden was serving you fake government cheese.

Parmesan rinds can be used in home-made tomato sauces. It's a "tip" in recipes.

by Anonymousreply 8October 12, 2025 10:16 AM

I always add a P-R rind when I make either beans or Bolognese.

OP only reads the headlines.

Anyone who says she eats the inedible rind of an authentic Parmigiano Reggiano is a liar.

by Anonymousreply 11October 12, 2025 1:50 PM

If you are putting the rind in soups and so forth, the outside of the rind is scraped.

by Anonymousreply 12October 12, 2025 2:50 PM

I add the rind to split pea soup.
