I'm currently visiting a city with magnificent backdrops (think Amsterdam, Venice, Kyoto) and I'm astounded by the behavior of others. Every time I cross a bridge there is some young woman (they usually are) posing with an ice cream cone or a bowl of rice or some other local delicacy. They always fluff their hair over their shoulders -- why oh why do they ALL affect the same pose? It's weird too that the 23 year olds have lip injections. Before I'm accused of being out of it, I realize that standards change and that young people have always been self-conscious but these are the exact opposite. They glory in their uniqueness by acting like everyone else.
Old man rant over. But boy am I flabbergasted!
