What do you think of adults trick or treating? My coworkers were talking about planning to go trick or treating. I said “I didn’t know you had kids.” And they responded they don’t. 😳
No. I went once when I was 22 and I got comments about how I was the oldest trick-or-treater they've ever seen. Mind you, the ones who answered the door and passed out candy were high schoolers, and even a few junior high kids.
It shamed me so much I never went out again. Even though I'm tempted to be Ghost Face from Scream so I can go out again, I'm afraid my middle-aged lumbering will give me away.
So now I just buy way too much of my favorite candy, so I know I'll have leftover for a few months.

Anyone who comes to my door during my neighborhood's official trick or treating hours gets offered candy.

I go tricking. A lot of guys find it to be a treat.

Yes because I'm often mistaken for a teenage boy.

My understanding is that Halloween evolved from Irish folk techniques for keeping the dead who walk the earth on that night from invading your home or doing evil things to you. I also assume trick or treating has its origins in the Christmastime mumming tradition, in which drunks in costumes go from house to house and you gove them treats and alcoholic beverages to make them go away and leave you alone.
