Having grown up in the 80s and seeing her in various films I found her extremely bland and forgettable. Pretty but zero presence.

When she was married to Josh Brolin for nearly a decade (2004-13), she was very close to her step-mother-in-law, Barbra Streisand. The two of them would post about each other on social media. There seemed to be a genuine relationship between the two women. For the past twelve years or so, they continue to mention each other in posts from time to time, so I think the friendship is still thriving.

Her bland everywoman persona died out with "Live Laugh Love" and "Eat Pray Fuck". She creates a feeling of ennui in today's women.

She’s starring in “Anniversary,” a thriller that opens later this year. I just saw the trailer for it, playing with “Kiss of the Spider Woman” (which I loved).
