I love his optimism (and his face), but I have to agree with R1. I wish they'd stop with the bullshit.

I agree with Swalwell that if they can get the discharge petition through, when it comes to the vote to release, a shit ton of Repugs will flip. Voting to not release the files would be a very bad look.

Here's a question: why aren't Democrats on the TV every fucking day reinforcing that the shutdown is because Democrats won't allow millions of Americans to lose their healthcare, which is what the big, horrible bill would do?

Judging by my email/text in-box, Sherrod Brown, Colin Allred, Nancy Pelosi, et al are all far too busy with fund-raising to mount any effective campaign against Trump, R10.

They should be on TV hammering home that Republicans are in charge of all 3 branches of government. This is Republican rule…Chaos, Dysfunction, and Shutdowns.

Of course it's quixotic but I think it's the right strategy for Democrats to stop being the abused spouse for once and stand on one or two princiiples, like access to Medicaid and not covering for sexual predators.
