Do you have a favorite cocktail sauce?

I just tried Old Bay Cocktail Sauce, and it was too spicy.

Make your own.

Catsup, hot sauce, lemon juice, pepper, and horseradish.

Adjust to desired spiciness.

R1 does it like I do.

Can we have one food thread without someone suggesting to make your own?

For something as simple as cocktail sauce, no r3.

Heinz cocktail sauce is terrible.

Kelchner's. I don't know if this is a local product(Philly) or nation-wide, but it is excellent. Very fresh, not overly tomato-y, horseradish-y to a fare-thee-well, and just the right clinging texture. Worth searching for. Perfect for boiled shrimp and also for fried seafood. 👅
