Beachfront home of South Carolina judge, ex-senator burned to ground.
An inferno ripped through the waterfront home of a South Carolina judge and her Democratic ex-senator husband on Saturday, leaving three people hospitalized, according to authorities and reports.
Circuit Court Judge Diana Goodstein’s Edisto Beach home went up in flames around midday, sending plumes of black smoke into the air and forcing her husband, former Dem state Sen. Arnold Goodstein, to jump from the first floor to escape the blaze

Who are Melissa Hortman and John Hoffman, the Minnesota state lawmakers shot on Saturday?

Will this get a day of mourning?

Bet they won't be treated as martyrs like Charlie Kirk.

r4 And the press is now too scared to pump this up with a Charlie Kirk comparison.

Jumped from the first floor? Is this reporter from France?

It was probably at least an 8ft drop and the guy is 80. He also has burns and broken bones

Pee Wee German - Stephen Miller was just saying the day before this about how "left wing judges" need to be stopped.

The article says nothing about the cause of the fire. Some of you are automatically assuming arson but there could another reason the house burned down.

There was an explosion and even though houses are usually filled with explosive things, they rarely explode even during fires

Very few stories and none about the 17 year old who stalked and finally ran over and killed two classmates for making fun of Charlie Kirk.

For our Tasteful Friends who might be interested, here’s the listing for the house when it last sold in 2019 for $700,000.

That house is atrocious, but no one or thing deserves what has happened. This is evil.

The pics at r24 show that the house was built above the garage, probably due to the risk of flooding, so the first floor was elevated by 10 feet or so.

R22, the little murderous darling made a video saying that the Charlie Kirk comments were going to make him take vengeance. So nutty ex boyfriend went nuttier. And murdered his ex and her friend

My sister works with this judge.
What's happened is horrible, and yes, this is fascism in action.
This -- and so much else -- also begs the question: What do we do to stop this? What can we do?

See r24. R29. And this is the problem, we can whine online about it. Pretend this is Charlie Kirk. We missed out on the Hortman and Hoffman murders. That rightwing nutjob shot a Golden retriever, Gilbert who had to be out to sleep that morning. We needed to make hay about this. Buuuttt....Trump wants us to. He wants us to be violent. He's pissed, openly that we're not. I saw footage of a guy in a blow up frog suit at the Portland protests and I think just being silly and letting these assholes rough up some mascots and continue to laugh at them and point out their weirdness will win. If it doesn't? Then start cracking heads but they need to start it first. ICE is a joke. Let's laugh harder

If this happened to a comparable set of Republicans it would be Charlie Kirk 2.0. The calls for payback to "the Left" would be nonstop on every news channel and inescapable on social media.

I'm sure Kash and Pammy will get right on this investigation. Let me guess-it was a trans person of color that did it.

Most assuredly, the results of any "investigation" of this incident, regardless of actual cause, will end up in the bottom of the Pam and Kash's respective circular files.
