R11 Gwen Stefani is the biggest phony sellout of all time.

I used to love Gwen and the honeymoon ended with Hollaback Girl and the indifference turned to loathing after watching her on The Voice. She was a total moron.

R25 - I loved the L.A.M.B. album (is that what it was called?)...her first one. But yeah...on The Voice and in interviews she seems so vapid.

Gwen has gone full MAGA Barbie now in looks and opinions. Thankfully, she doesn’t speak much. She has always been dumb as a rock but her style and fun music used to make up for it.

I love Lana's music, but I don't think it's any secret that she was put through "the machine" when she came on the scene with Born To Die. Everything about her, from looks to her persona, was manufactured. I still think her music is really good and she seems to have grown into her music well, even dropping a lot of the practically comatose, nihilistic, drugged out femme fatale schtick.

R33 she definitely was put together and had an image crafted when Interscope took her under their wing. She was an indie singer with a different image prior to that. She may have had some creative input, but I think the glamorous, suicidal Hollywood vixen/Lolita image was finely tuned. I love all of her albums too, and she’s matured a lot as an artist. I guess she needed to make a statement to get her foot in the door.

All of her music was on a laptop that was stolen and the demos released. Her image may have been ceafteed for her major label debut, but the songwriting and performance style was all her.

That’s why in spite of the early articles about how she has a stage name and used to be a bleach blonde, she rose above it reasonably quickly because the music was always strong.

She’s someone I wouldnt recognize on the street anyway. Weird that I would recognize every other singer like Gaga, Taylor Swift, Britney, Madonna, Whitney, Mariah, but would not know Lana from some rando on the street.
