Is thrifting still worth it?

I used to be able to go to a thrift shop in a nice neighborhood and at least walk out with something- brooks brothers sweater, Gucci loafers, nice china, a great out of print book. Now every time I go its crap. On the thrift grift reddit they are literally selling garbage. Even Housing works has declined

It’s always crap. No one needs any more stuff, no matter how fashionable and cheap it may be in the thrift store
