Hyundai Factory raid
Wow, I’ve really fucked this one up.
Apparently, ICE went to the Georgia factory to arrest 4 suspected Hispanic undocumented men. When ICE got there, to make their quota, they started arrested Koreans who were here on work visas.
ICE treated them like shit: typical handcuffing, throwing them into detention centers, etc.
Once the truth of their legal status came out and how they were vital to this Hyundai factory being built, Trump desperately asked them to stay and finish. Instead, they said fuck you and are all leaving. The whole factory is in limbo with Hyundai likely not completing it.
Complete shit show

I hate spell check—the first line should be “ICE really fucked this up”

What do all these deported people do when they get 'home'? Do they give them $50.00 and a toothbrush?

OP, I am relieved to know you had no personal involvement in this, but you should brush up your skills on starting new threads. Search, link, and proofread.

President Miller doesn’t care about the economy.

Yours is the most current (and better) thread -- let's keep it going.
The other one is already outdated, and has a few posters who're happy about the deportation of S. Korean "illegals."

This was probably seen as a win by those in the WH, in meeting one of their primary goals: sabotaging the US economy. Bonuses were likely given to all involved for their initiative.

Love it - it’s only a matter of time until the idiots who voted for this realize “oh but it affects real people too”

I wish I agreed with you, R9.
These are the kind of men who will never admit they're wrong, and their wives just do whatever they're told.

I didn’t realize the workers were actually here legally! It’s taken a while for that to come out—long after most Americans have moved on from this story.
No wonder S Korea is royally pissed off

GA lost the chance of hosting this factory and all the jobs it would have created.

There are plenty of Americans who could work in that factory

R13 “Could have worked.”
The media failed to blast the truth that S. Korean workers were present to set up, train American workers, and return home. The media trumpeted the dramatic arrests though. So sad to see the “public’s right to know” go down the tubes the way it has.
