Aye Pape!. I'd like to see their snowblower
Can you imagine spending $31 million to live in Winnetka?

Yes. Kenilworth and Winnetka are among the wealthiest suburbs in America.
Chicago is still a major city and many corporations have headquarters and offices there.

No. Winnetka has changed. It’s nouveau riche now. They’ve even let Catholics into the Indian Hill Club.

Never heard of it.

If you’re a real cunt, you just move to Hinsdale. If you’re a cunt who wants space, Oak Brook. You want something more modest Clarendon Hills or Western Springs.

Tasteful friends, the most expensive house is $6 million. Where did OP get $31 million?
by Anonymous | reply 5 | September 17, 2025 3:34 AM |
Linky stinky, OP.

Isn't that where Rock Hudson and Ann-Margret are from?
Not to mention the Big Noise.

The north shore is interesting indeed. As a working class kid in near west suburbia, that place seemed like a world away.

Winnetka ... in The Valley where that Slut Brooke Logan is from?
The highest price home there is $1.7 million! New construction, and it's still a dump!

R9 Winnetka, CA doesn’t sound like it has the same cachet as Winnetka, IL.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | September 17, 2025 4:09 AM |
It most assuredly does NOT, r10.

It’s a reminder that there is wealth in places other than NY, CA and FL. Chicago is a whole ecosystem independent of the coasts that is livable and has a portion of its population that is in the top 1% of the US. Which is as rich as it gets in the world. So not a bad life. I wouldn’t necessarily choose it if I had that money - but rich people live in many places in the US.

R12 And many in Chicago's upper class have homes in warmer places where they spend the winter. So please don't worry about them shoveling snow or being too cold. They don't and they aren't. My former boss had one of the big homes on the lake in Wilmette. It is an extraordinary property.
