Although neither of them has ever been a megastar (Grant could have been with Melrose Place, in theory), they've both worked pretty regularly for 30+years, and seem to have been happily married for almost 15 (third time's the charm, Katherine). Good for them.

I think she on for several reasons—one of course being she was very good in the “it” show of the year. Also, it’s possible the White Lotus actresses split the votes. A big factor was also probably what helped Jeff Hiller win—an actor who’s been plugging away for decades in guest parts or as a series regular in little seen shows, and has built a good reputation in the business and finally gets a chance to be recognized. That means a lot to a lot of voters.

And, there may have been a few who voted for her because they want to blow Grant Show.

They were both in shows I wish would have lasted just a little bit longer...

R9, I loved SWINGTOWN! I bought the one season Prime and have swatched it a couple of times. Great show, but totally wrong for CBS. , It needed to be on cable or a streamer.

I remember way back when the show was spun-off from '90210' that Grant was supposed to be the 'star', and most of the storylines were going to be about him. Things changed when Andrew Shue became 'the heart-throb' and the focus slowly moved to him. By the second season, Grant was telling reporters he was thinking of leaving the series because it's not the show he was 'promised' (he never said anything directly bad about Shue, but you could tell he was pissed off about his stardom and attention). By then, I think the show was on the verge of cancellation anyhow, as ratings were never the big numbers the network was hoping to see. And then Heather Locklear joined the show, and Grant ended up staying for a few more seasons (I checked out before the series ended).

Which is the show that Grant Show starred in and became popular and fame because of! Imagine THAT series of coincidences - she played someone who was in storyline involving the show her future husband starred on.

BTW, it was one of her first jobs and boy did she suck. She kept ducking her head over and over again while she was reciting her lines. It was almost painful to watch. I tried to find a clip of that part of the show, but couldn't find that particular moment isolated.

In his prime, Grant Show was absolutely gorgeous. Like a slightly more handsome, less movie-star charismatic Brad Pitt.

I also own Swingtown on DVD and loved it. It would have been better served on cable, for sure. They could've gone there with nudity, storylines, etc. Grant was so hot in his '70s threads.
