I always loved it. Never thought about it before, but yes, it was always a highpoint. Linda carter was cast so well. She and Chris Reeve are the best casting ever. (A small shout out to Helen Slater as a lovely Supergirl).

I was more fascinated by the bullet deflection bracelets.

I didn't realize she did the arms up motion towards the end of the spin.

What I loved was after the spin was finished, the first thing she would do is look down at her outfit. But as a kid I always thought she was checking to make sure her tits hadn't popped out of her bustier.
