Chicken in a Biskit Crackers! Not for Vegans!

Chicken in a Biskit crackers are named so because they are chicken-flavored, containing real dehydrated chicken and other seasonings that give them a savory, savory taste. The name also refers to their appearance, as their small, rectangular, cracker-like shape resembles a "biskit" or biscuit, a common format for savory snacks.

Crackers that taste like chicken sounds gross.

OP = Are you this fucking bored? Seriously? How is this a thread?

by Anonymousreply 2September 16, 2025 3:01 AM

This SHOULD be a thread, they are that addictive. I only allow myself one box every five years or so. I'm sure they're laden with MSG, which makes everything taste better.

Iโ€™d lick chicken in a biscuit seasoning off of a dead personโ€™s body

by Anonymousreply 5September 16, 2025 3:25 AM

I have fond memories of these crackers. They always showed up in the house when my parents were having one of their contract bridge parties.

I'm so glad you clarified this. I don't know what we would have thought otherwise!

by Anonymousreply 7September 16, 2025 3:29 AM

I love them! They've been around forever.

They were my dadโ€™s favorite snack, spread with cream cheese, weโ€™d make little three layer sandwiches, so good. I still do this like once a year, brings me right back

OP's powers of critical reading and deductions are profound.

Needs a tube of Easy Cheese...

I haven't seen these in years! I used to love them as an after school snack (in the late 80s).

by Anonymousreply 12September 16, 2025 4:07 AM

Does anyone else remember Chicken in a Basket? I always assumed the name of the crackers was a play on that.

by Anonymousreply 13September 16, 2025 6:30 AM

Theyโ€™re quite good. You can get them on dash mart if you live in nyc

by Anonymousreply 14September 16, 2025 7:17 AM

Mondelez, please bring back Bacon Thins too. They were even more addictive.

by Anonymousreply 15September 16, 2025 8:15 AM

They are so delicious and taste nothing like chicken.

You're the only person in the world who ever thought that!

You could probably allow yourself a box every two and a half years without shortening your life appreciably. And the idea that MSG is a dangerous chemical additive has been disproved.

The very definition of "too much time on your hands" has to be making copycat Chicken in a Biscuit crackers at home.

by Anonymousreply 20September 16, 2025 11:33 AM

r18, it's mostly because I rarely venture down the snack aisle and forget that they still exist. Told my husband that there's a thread here about this. He's so predictable. A box or two will show up in the pantry next time he does the shopping "because they're on sale". I have kidney disease and he's on Ozempic. We really shouldn't...

My grandmother always had a bunch of types of crackers on hand in case company showed up.

I loved Chicken in a Biskit and the aforementioned Bacon Things.

She also had a supply of Swiss crackers that looked like pieces of Swiss cheese and something called "Twigs" I think that she would jam into a cheese ball from the freezer.

Loved them all.

She also had a giant jar of something called "Wheat Nuts" she would pour into little glass cups and place around the living room for card parties.

They taste amazing, but they're really unhealthy. I get tempted to buy a box every time I see them at the store.

by Anonymousreply 23September 16, 2025 2:41 PM

The name tells you what they are. Obviously not vegan. But thanks I guess.

I loved those when I was a kid.

Chicken in a Biskit and cereal with milk were my childhood dietary staples while my mother drank Mogen David in her car.
