Brian Kilmeade of Fox News states homeless people who refuse help should be put to death

[post redacted because independent.co.uk thinks that links to their ridiculous rag are a bad thing. Somebody might want to tell them how the internet works. Or not. We don't really care. They do suck though. Our advice is that you should not click on the link and whatever you do, don't read their truly terrible articles.]

In a shocking moment on Fox News on the morning of September 10, Fox & Friends host Brian Kilmeade apparently advocated for the killing of mentally ill homeless people during a discussion.

He also suggested it could be done through “involuntary lethal injection.”

The remarks were made during a segment about the recent murder of Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska on a light rail train in North Carolina by a homeless person with schizophrenia and an extensive criminal history.

“A lot of them don't want to take the programs, a lot of them don't want to get the help that is necessary. You can't give them a choice. Either you take the resources that we're going to give you and — or you decide that you are going to be locked up in jail. That's the way it has to be now,” he added.

Kilmeade interjected: “Or involuntary lethal injection… or something. Just kill ‘em.”

“Yeah,” Jones adds.

Fellow co-host Ainsley Earhardt then said: “Yeah, Brian, why did it have to get to this point?”

Kilmeade then said that people in cities with large homeless populations were voting for the wrong elected officials, telling people in North Carolina to “wake up.”

So very Christian!

by Anonymousreply 2September 13, 2025 10:42 PM

I watched the 'Trump Interview' on FOX the other morning where he said 'they caught the guy' who killed Kirk. There he is, sitting on the sofa between the black guy and the blonde woman. NOT ONCE did Trump ever turn his head and acknowledge that the black guy was sitting on his right. He was focused on the two white hosts sitting on his left (our right). Even when the black guy made a comment, Trump never turned his head in his direction - never. How disrespectful and humiliating. If I was the black host, I'd have gotten up and walked off the set.

by Anonymousreply 3September 13, 2025 10:46 PM

I'm fine with this. The ones who won't take help are usually just violent and crazy anyway. For instance my brother is chronically homeless. He iscurrently a registered sex offender in florida and was living in a trailer with two other registered sex offenders but recently lost his place because he without any provocation tried to murder his roommate. This is only the latest in a long string have assaults he has committed and yet somehow it's already been adjudicated and all he got was a Year's probation and time served which was like 12 days. There is even full video of the entire event. He has a legitimate brain deformity but doesn't believe it himself. He's functional enough that he has power over his own affairs but he will never be able to function well in society and it really is only a matter of time before he either kills or is killed himself. He's been in Florida for the last 15 years though and I'm surprised he survived this long.

by Anonymousreply 4September 13, 2025 10:47 PM

r3 and then you would be fired - all these people know to bow down and "behave" for their overlord

by Anonymousreply 5September 13, 2025 10:48 PM

It was a gross thing to say, but he won't be fired over it. He's protected.

by Anonymousreply 6September 13, 2025 10:51 PM

R4 They say something like that and move the goal posts every fucking time. They'll start with the psycho screaming his head off pushing a shopping cart, and then they'll come for a schoolteacher or a retail worker sleeping in their car trying their best to stay out of trouble.

by Anonymousreply 7September 13, 2025 10:52 PM

Absolutely despicable, crazy, and evil thing to say. And the other two hosts are just as bad for going along with it.

BTW, this is wrong even without the slippery slope considerations (although that is definitely what's coming next). Even a nutjob doesn't deserve to be put to death. If the death penalty exists at all, and that's highly questionable due to human fallibility, it should be reserved for those who actually commit the worst of crimes against others, such as murder. Most homeless do not do anything like that. Someone talking to themselves may visually disturb you, but you're a fucking sicko if you think that means they should be killed.

by Anonymousreply 8September 13, 2025 10:58 PM

A person who, because of illness, handicap or, more simply, just by existing, compromises the well-being or life-style of those who are more favoured tends to be looked upon as an enemy to be resisted or eliminated. In this way a kind of "conspiracy against life" is unleashed.

This is exactly what the Nazis did. Full stop.

by Anonymousreply 10September 13, 2025 11:12 PM

[quote] I'm fine with this. The ones who won't take help are usually just violent and crazy anyway.

You don't really know that for certain, and I'm sure you're only measuring within your little bubble and not the entire country, which is more diverse. Everyone is not like your family. When I first started volunteering, I learned rather quickly that there is no specific type or even class when it comes to America's homeless population. Pretty much anyone can fall down on their luck in this country covid should have taught you that.

It's rather disturbing that you agree with the sick dystopian fantasies of this Fox News shill. Surely, we can come up with solutions that aren't inhumane and barbaric. America is not a third-world country. We are supposed to be a civilized society.

by Anonymousreply 11September 13, 2025 11:14 PM

This is fascist.

by Anonymousreply 12September 13, 2025 11:14 PM

Genocidal sadists assemble!

by Anonymousreply 13September 13, 2025 11:20 PM

The plug should be pulled on Fox News. That would be a good start.

by Anonymousreply 14September 13, 2025 11:26 PM

Can facial gays explain what’s going on with Kilmeade’s face? Is it a bad facelift? Cheap Botox?

by Anonymousreply 15September 13, 2025 11:32 PM

I can’t believe this isn’t the top story of every website.

by Anonymousreply 16September 14, 2025 1:49 AM

I guess they’re dropping the curtain a little bit to desensitize us to the next phase of their plans.

by Anonymousreply 17September 14, 2025 4:25 AM

Every body wants a piece of the Aktion.

Zero to Nazi in eight months. I'm shocked but kinda saw this coming.

by Anonymousreply 18September 14, 2025 5:20 AM

r16, I think there's a bit of a "Oh, it's FOX News, of course they say extreme stuff" reaction to things like this. However, you're right. And r17 is too. This is actually a deeply disturbing new line that has been crossed by someone on their channel. FOX News hosts may have bashed the homeless and talked about Democrats being soft on crime and blah, blah, blah, before, but a host suggesting that the homeless, or any group really, be euthanized is something that has not happened before. This is literally Nazi shit. Like one is not even exaggerating by one percent to say that. It's not just othering. It's "final solution" proposing for a demonized group. Literally. Holy shit.

by Anonymousreply 19September 14, 2025 7:50 AM

That's rich, from someone who works at Fox News and refuses help to get away from it.

by Anonymousreply 20September 14, 2025 8:33 AM

Bri, if the needles don't do it, there's always trains and Zyklon-B.

by Anonymousreply 21September 14, 2025 8:46 AM

This is shocking. I expected the title of the OP to be an exaggeration or intentionally misleading (Sorry, OP, but there are a lot of posts like that so that was my first thought). I guessed that maybe the Fox guy was talking specifically about the man who stabbed the woman in Charlotte. Someone who could conceivably be sentenced to the death penalty for his actions.

Nah, he’s just talking about people who are sick. I’m sure the actually diagnosis would vary by homeless individual, but they are all fucked up.

How does that one guy get fired for implying Charlie Kirk’s own rhetoric led to his death (not appropriate, but fired after an immediate and clear apology) if this is a big nothing burger?

The other guy sounded pretty stupid, what help is actually available to a guy with a substance abuse problem, schizophrenia and an IQ of 90? A couple months at Silver Hill? Not evil, just fifth grade level commentary.

by Anonymousreply 22September 14, 2025 10:42 AM

And the thing is that many on the right will theatrically gasp and clutch their pearls at people not crying about Charlie Kirk, while they'll see no harm in Brian Kilmeade pumping out hateful rhetoric on TV.

by Anonymousreply 23September 14, 2025 10:51 AM

the part 2 of this convo is; what percentage of Americans-today, would approve of this kill the homeless proposal? I know how my wacko maga family members would answer. Things are looking rather bleak in the U.S of A

by Anonymousreply 24September 14, 2025 10:55 AM

R24, if it goes to voter ballot initiative, the homeless are doomed.

The past decade, Fall 2015 (when Trump was surging toward the 2016 GOP nomination and everybody was now taking him seriously) to now... it's all made me so much more misanthropic. Trump in all his blatant sociopathy is the US president because tens of millions of voters looked upon him and said "YES! That's my guy." And in November 2024 they absolutely knew what they were signing up for.

by Anonymousreply 25September 14, 2025 11:28 AM

Rupert and Lachlan Murdoch have so many homes they are effectively homeless. Maybe Brian can kick off the project with them.

by Anonymousreply 26September 14, 2025 11:46 AM

No, people don’t really want to kill homeless people for being homeless. That why his comment WAS so outrageous. If a significant portion of the population would go along with it, then there wouldn’t the any reason to be outraged by his getting away with saying it, no matter how abhorrent the statement was in an absolute sense. It would be like someone saying something positive about slavery in1850. You might disagree, but you wouldn’t think it was weird they didn’t get fired for saying it.

Very few people would agree with him. A lot of knee jerk MAGA’s might claim to depending on how the question was phrased, but almost nobody would say we should kill people involuntarily for being homeless and unable or unwilling to be compliant with conditions of available assistance programs. I’ve heard Canada is OK with killing people who agree to it. Not sure how that works. But I don’t think the U.S. or Canada is close to considering killing people involuntarily if they haven’t yet committed a serious crime.

by Anonymousreply 27September 14, 2025 12:02 PM

America is a cruel country. The cruelty in almost all of MAGA is obvious, but even in the middle and on the Left there is often a cruel streak in some people compared to many other countries. There's much I like about the US, but I don't trust my fellow Americans in this area.

by Anonymousreply 28September 14, 2025 12:16 PM

R28 did you miss the fine poster upthread who would euthanise his own family members? You’re crazy if you think a majority of Americans won’t go for this

by Anonymousreply 29September 14, 2025 12:28 PM

Totally agree with everything you said R28. Cruelty is part of the overall American culture.

Also agree with R29. They would if they could and who knows what's going to happen.

by Anonymousreply 30September 14, 2025 12:32 PM

R29, I see the quote, I don’t see the original post. I must have that person blocked. But I disagree strongly with you. The majority of American would not be onboard with killing crazy homeless people. That’s Ok, we can have different opinions on what the majority of people think.

by Anonymousreply 31September 14, 2025 12:35 PM

How does this man still have his job??

by Anonymousreply 32September 14, 2025 12:41 PM

I think that's the point. Fox has the powe R32. THey can say anything and get away with it. Bush II pioneered this kind of bullyhing during hte Iraq war. He would give a speech with obvious lies, be called out, and just smile. The point was he could liie and get away with it and you could not. This was the source of his popularity becasue he was an out of touch spoiled rich kid who had never worked an honest day in his life, but ended up being wildly popular specifically by arrogant showing he had the power to break laws with impunity. Trump of course has taken it to an obscene height, but Bush did it too.

by Anonymousreply 33September 14, 2025 12:55 PM

The thing with R4 is he’s saying what would make HIS life easier, not his brothers. And I get it - we’ve all had that family member or have known that person who is just beyond help and continually exhausts us. Involuntary euthanasia, though? From people who think only God can decide our fate!? Don’t forget how many Americans are one lost paycheck from homelessness. Where would the “program” end? Take what this guy is saying as part of the plot, and not a personal opinion. It’s easier to just make the problem go away rather than address the root causes. Pulling services and funding for supports, limiting rights, concentrating wealth - all those things are happening, and none of them are helping.

by Anonymousreply 34September 14, 2025 1:34 PM

^ by guy, I mean Kilmeade, not R4

by Anonymousreply 35September 14, 2025 1:35 PM

The world population was 3 billion in the 1960s. It's now 8 billion.

There's a reason people in less crowded countries are nicer than big cities. It's the reason people in the world's most populous countries seem pushy and domineering. They have to compete.

It makes me afraid. With so many people, people aren't needed or valued. It leads to sinister things.

A guy gets fired from MSNBC because he points out that Charlie Kirk peddled in hate speech. This guy actually says homeless people should be killed and he’s likely getting a raise

by Anonymousreply 37September 14, 2025 1:52 PM

You first fascist Kilmead. You’re the individual who’s a drag on society and has no worth.

He apologized. All is well.

Using Brian's logic, Fox viewers should be euthanized. They're in a cult and refuse to seek help for their Fox addiction, so we should just have them put down for the good of humanity.

by Anonymousreply 40September 14, 2025 2:32 PM

I’m surprised he wasn’t fired for apologizing.

by Anonymousreply 41September 14, 2025 2:43 PM

Weird how liberals get punished for not being 100% sad over the death of a bigot while conservatives are like "Let's bring back death camps for undesirables!"

by Anonymousreply 42September 14, 2025 2:50 PM

Of course there should be a live demonstration outside his glass studio while he is on the air but apparently no one cares anymore.

by Anonymousreply 43September 16, 2025 2:36 AM

I notice they cut the clip short so you can't heear the audience cheering

by Anonymousreply 44September 16, 2025 4:34 AM

Things are so bad now no one has time to protest the latest outrage before there’s another one somewhere else. Now (or soon - it’s coming) protesting can get you picked up by the government and have god knows what done to you, like in Russia. Oh well, this is how the American people wanted to live.

by Anonymousreply 45September 16, 2025 9:19 AM

Life is over rated. Now if you don't want to die fine. Then live. But if assisted suicide is your choice allow it. I might lose my housing due to rent going up. I don't want live on some street somewhere in my car and I don't want to impose on a family member. Eventually you are a burden. I can't afford to live with any quality of life so a peaceful death is fine for me if I become homeless. And I want to do it while I have control of my faculties, not when my body begins to fail and I might start developing Alzheimer's which runs in my family. The risks are too high to put things off. But neither do I want a violent death of personal destruction by drugs, knife or gun.

by Anonymousreply 46September 16, 2025 9:47 AM

I feel the same way, r46. My health is not good. I think the option to suicide makes sense. I'm not at that point yet, but I am in a shitload of pain as of a week ago, from which I know recovery will be slow.

by Anonymousreply 47September 17, 2025 11:32 AM

Fascists put the homeless to the death too

by Anonymousreply 48September 17, 2025 12:17 PM

R29 That person gets a pass.

Who DOESN'T want to euthanize at least one awful relative?

by Anonymousreply 49September 17, 2025 2:11 PM

This, too, shall pass for Jesus is coming ...

by Anonymousreply 50September 17, 2025 3:25 PM

Complete hypocrisy.

How dare anyone criticize Charlie Kirk’s BS when we’re desperately trying to make him a saint!

If you suggest murdering homeless people because they’re inconvenient on national TV, ho hum.

by Anonymousreply 51September 17, 2025 3:29 PM

Interesting that no one is calling out the black host who suggested sticking homeless people in jail.

Jail seems to be the only solution for social issues that conservatives have. Well, now they’ve added lethal Injection

by Anonymousreply 52September 17, 2025 3:30 PM

All those people who refused to vote for Harris because of Biden's policies on Israel must be so proud of themselves right now.

by Anonymousreply 53September 17, 2025 3:45 PM

I don’t know how it can be successfully addressed . Reagan shut down the mental hospitals in the 80’s. There’s some that have just fallen on hard times and need and will take a hand up and the help that is offered. A lot of them don’t want help because it involves giving up of some freedom for a time. Most homeless shelters have rules about drinking, fighting and drugs, so a lot would rather stay in the streets. How can you help/treat that?

by Anonymousreply 54September 17, 2025 4:13 PM

I’m kind of with R46 & R47. I like what Canada is doing with assisted suicide. Maybe it’s time for a road trip.
