I'm sure anyone currently active enough to be considered a celebrity wouldn't have time to hang out on social media, but you'd better believe that people interested in the celebs are keeping track of everything posted about them, and occasionally some items do get forwarded to the celebs and they do look at it. So I wouldn't post anything here or anywhere else that you'd be mortified for them to see.

There have always been a handful of DL Celebrities in Their Own Minds who drift in and out of paying way too much attention whenever summoned by name from death/obscurity, but they are, for the most part, easily exhausted.

I'm 100% convinced every celebrity and media figure gets up every morning and checks DL to find out what a load of 80 year olds have to say about I Love Lucy and The Golden Girls. It's really important to tap into that demographic.

I joined DL because of a celeb gossip thread, now there is nothing. All the insiders must have died or retired. Younger gays in the industry apparently don’t flock to this Gen X coded site so we are left with stale gossip.

Yes. To put numbers to it, look at the number of followers and likes on the R40's three influential platforms, and then look at the number of replies and likes to individual posts on DL. Only an insanely litigious and has-been celebrity cunt would haunt DL.
