‘Twinless’ was a surprisingly poignant and touching film about loss and grief

I just got out from seeing Twinless and I was surprised by how touching and moving this film was. It’s promoted as this sort of dark comedy, and while it does have some humor it is also very sad, surprisingly so. A very sad but touching story about loss and grief and moving on.

Dylan O’Brien gives such a beautiful performance, so much so that I would love to see him get award acknowledgment for his performance (although it won’t ever happen). I actually loved it so much I want to watch it again.

I liked it overall too and agree with you that it was moving. I actually wish the film had leaned a little more in the drama direction and a little farther from the dark comedy direction.

R1 this is about the actual film and not about the ridiculous sex scene, acting like you’re a teenager.

R2 agreed. I liked it more than I thought I would, but like you, I wish it leaned more into the drama, even though it had a lot of it. But it added dark humor in a lot of the drama which is fine, but I prefer just drama.

A surprisingly touching film though.
