No one in custody. Possibly a professional shooter? Paid for by who? And who benefits most from him being removed from the conversation entirely?
Plus, pretext for a lot of suspicious shit in the coming weeks. I seriously think it may have been one of their own. Crack shot. Don't get a lot of those.
This. Putin dipping into Poland. Trump corpse-fucking the Constitution hourly. Plus, Super Crazy Jesus Freaks in every nook and crevice of government. This seems like WW3 and a Civil War could be happening on the same timetable. Plus, possible extraterrestrial encounters before Halloween with the added possibility of 3I/Atlas being Wormwood!

Maybe it was a personal motive like adultery or money or some other kind of betrayal. Meanwhile, it’s automatically being blamed on hate speech by the “radical” left - which is being met by much more hateful speech by the right. I wonder if we’ll ever know the real reason.

[quote]“I think empathy is a made up, new age term, which does a lot of damage.”
CK's uncertainty urged me to some basic research. This I found: "The English word empathy originates from a 1909 translation of the German term Einfuhlung ('feeling into'), coined by Theodor Lipps to describe projecting oneself into an object or person's subjective experience."
So, not particularly 'new age', and an adapted translation rather than a word fashionably fabricated. In any event, such a humane word demonstrably hasn't caused as much 'damage' as guns and their worship.

There is chatter on other forums that since the shooter looks more like a sniper that got it with one shot and quickly had a well planned get away, there is speculation he might have been from the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) because Charlie Kirk recently switched his view now calling it genocide.
Consider that Israel carried out strikes on Qatar's capital Doha to kill Hamas but that's a completely different country they are not at war with. They now feel emboldened to do whatever they want including shutting down any decent. Remember early on in the war, they assassinated a well known reporter in the West Bank.

Why would the IDF care about taking out an unknown CEO? Charlie Kirk on the other hand being a very visible and influential political guy on the rise suddenly pointing out their genocide makes a lot more sense.
I am not saying that's most likely who shot him, but it's more plausible when you consider how they just bombed another country. I am guessing it's just some disgruntled former military guy from the US. Maybe he lost his health benefits, or SNAP or VA coverage or job thanks to Trump.

Whenever these things happen, it's always a surprise how ordinary these people are: no Jason Bourne, no ninja, just some person with little/no employment, no spouse that their relatives & neighbors have been avoiding for years. I recall the guy that committed the Las Vegas massacre didn't have any kind of formal military training (though he was shooting randomly while this person is clearly a marksperson). I suspect the answer to who killed Charlie will be similarly anti-climatic.

Charlie Kirk is no Franz Ferdinand, unless there's a conspiracy for which his murder is a flashpoint.
More likely, shooter putting down Kirk, just made it more difficult from an economic and logistical POV to give a platform to professional provocateurs with inflammatory and offensive content. Just moving the event indoors raises the price.
• Security personnel: More guards, plainclothes officers, and perimeter control.
• Venue modifications: Indoor-only setups, bulletproof staging, and controlled access points.
• Insurance premiums: Liability coverage for politically charged events is likely to spike.
• Paying for metal detectors, sniperscopes, and riot insurance
• Facing student walkouts, donor backlash, or staff resignations
• Risking reputational damage and media scrutiny
…then yes, the cost of giving them a platform rises. And that’s not censorship—it’s consequence.
Charlie "Hate Speech" Kirk raised $100 million for Trump in 2020. How much less if we need to substract expenses above.

r48 -- here, think of it as the wackos bombing women's health care clinics. How the doctors stopped doing it, the clinics closed, so by the time the SCOTUS overturned Roe v Wade, in many parts of the country it was already difficult to get one.
I am not advocating a civil war--I am just saying do not show up at a gunfight with a copy of Roberts Rules of Order, which is what the Democrats have been doing. Esp. "don't be like them and gerrymander your state." "When they go low, we go high." Be like them and engineer a super majority or even a simple one with blackmail and payoffs. If their lunatic fringe bombs your HQ, infect theirs with industrial waste. If they chase you out of a state, have follow-up cars to chase them. I am sure others have better ideas.
