Celebrities Whose Presence Will Make You Avoid a Certain TV Show/Movie

I'll start with Chris Pratt, Woody Harrelson, Timothee, and Andrew Garfield.

by Anonymousreply 43September 12, 2025 2:16 AM

Chris Pratt is sexy. I love funny masculine men. I don’t care if I disagree with him about politics.

I don’t care to play this game. There’s too much negativity on this site.

by Anonymousreply 1September 10, 2025 11:55 PM

You played.

by Anonymousreply 2September 10, 2025 11:56 PM

Billy Porter

Billy Eicher

Entire Past and Present Cast of Queer Eye

Harvey Firestein

Rosie O'Donnell

by Anonymousreply 3September 11, 2025 12:05 AM

I don't enjoy silly, goofy, juvenile humor. So anyone with frat boy humor.

Will Ferrell, Jim Carrey come to mind.

by Anonymousreply 4September 11, 2025 12:10 AM

Mel Gibson

by Anonymousreply 5September 11, 2025 12:12 AM

G Paltrow

by Anonymousreply 6September 11, 2025 12:21 AM

Is this different from the active thread about celebrities who ruin a movie/tv show?

by Anonymousreply 7September 11, 2025 12:39 AM

Renee Zellweger

by Anonymousreply 8September 11, 2025 12:45 AM

Elizabeth Moss

by Anonymousreply 9September 11, 2025 12:49 AM

Sorry, but there is nothing about Andrew Garfield I need to avoid.

by Anonymousreply 10September 11, 2025 1:12 AM

Jeremy Allen White. Hideous and being forced on us as a sex symbol.

The notion of JAW taking on the role of the ultra-hot (in his day) Springsteen is risible.

by Anonymousreply 11September 11, 2025 1:23 AM

Andrew Garfield loves homophobic racist Mel Gibson

by Anonymousreply 12September 11, 2025 1:24 AM

Denzel

by Anonymousreply 13September 11, 2025 1:26 AM

r7, I suppose you could argue that when you refuse to watch a show with a certain performer in it you can't say for certain they ruined it because you haven't seen it. For instance, like r4 I avoid watching anything with Jim Carrey or Will Ferrell because it's a tipoff it's going to be a kind of comedy I won't enjoy.

by Anonymousreply 15September 11, 2025 1:39 AM

I think Chris Pratt is very easy on the eyes but his acting style is excruciating. I've never seen a performance where he didn't come off as an obnoxious idiot.

by Anonymousreply 16September 11, 2025 2:00 AM

Hmmm. A certain orange politician.

by Anonymousreply 17September 11, 2025 3:59 AM

Jesus

by Anonymousreply 18September 11, 2025 4:00 AM

Bill Cosby

by Anonymousreply 19September 11, 2025 4:03 AM

Elon musk

by Anonymousreply 20September 11, 2025 4:04 AM

Patti LuPone

Billy Porter

Cheyenne Jackson (bound to be garbage)

Kevin Hart

by Anonymousreply 21September 11, 2025 4:23 AM

R12 I stopped caring about this pathetic closet case when he said the moronic "I'm like a gay man without the physical act" quote.

by Anonymousreply 22September 11, 2025 4:30 AM

r11 Yeh who is pushing him?

by Anonymousreply 23September 11, 2025 4:34 AM

I've never seen or heard of this guy before, R23, but looks like he shoulda been cast in [italic]The Phil Spector Story[/italic].

That casting director must be as blind as my father.

by Anonymousreply 24September 11, 2025 4:53 AM

Pedro Pascal, of course.

We need his 15 minutes of fame to go away NOW!!

by Anonymousreply 25September 11, 2025 5:02 AM

Sydney Sweeney

by Anonymousreply 26September 11, 2025 5:37 AM

I won’t watch anything with Will Smith even before the slap.

by Anonymousreply 27September 11, 2025 6:00 AM

I will not see anything with Leonardo DiCaprio.

by Anonymousreply 28September 11, 2025 6:06 AM

To start with a few men...

Tom Hanks

Leo diCaprio

Matt Damon (rare begrudging exceptions)

Will Smith

Johnny Depp

Kevin Costner

Jesse Eisenberg

Billy Porter

Tom Cruise

Ryan Reynolds

Adam Sandler

Neil Patrick Harris

by Anonymousreply 29September 11, 2025 6:34 AM

R3 Billy Porter

Billy Eicher

Entire Past and Present Cast of Queer Eye

Harvey Firestein

Rosie O'Donnell

So, any old gay basically?

by Anonymousreply 30September 11, 2025 8:33 AM

It’s been getting that way with Mark Ruffalo since Spotlight and I Know This Much Is True, never mind the avalanche of Marvel shit.

When I see his squished up little face advertised in some noble indie movie or premium streaming drama, I can’t watch.

by Anonymousreply 31September 11, 2025 8:37 AM

I also hate Tom Hank. He takes himself WAY too seriously for me to like him.

He's my least favorite of the mega A-List, age 50+ movie stars.

by Anonymousreply 32September 11, 2025 9:22 AM

Sally Fields

Christopher Reeves

by Anonymousreply 33September 11, 2025 12:50 PM

How dare you. Sally Field is a national treasure.

by Anonymousreply 34September 11, 2025 9:48 PM

34 replies and no mention of floppy titted Susan Sarandon?

by Anonymousreply 35September 11, 2025 10:16 PM

I've always found Ryan Reynolds obnoxious, even before his marriage to the equally obnoxious Blake Lively.

by Anonymousreply 36September 11, 2025 10:44 PM

Kevin Hart

Jack Black

by Anonymousreply 37September 11, 2025 10:54 PM

R35 - I'll second Susan.

by Anonymousreply 38September 11, 2025 10:59 PM

Ryan Reynolds. What a phony.

by Anonymousreply 39September 11, 2025 11:00 PM

Randy Quaid

Dennis Quaid

Charlie Sheen

by Anonymousreply 40September 11, 2025 11:01 PM

Ben Affleck. Looks and acts like the Frankenstein monster. Just empty, talentless nothingness.

His last hit was “Gone Girl” a decade ago and you can count the entire hits in his career on one hand.

How the fuck does he still get hired?

by Anonymousreply 41September 11, 2025 11:14 PM

If it wasn’t for the “Guardians” films, Chris Pratt would be lucky to guest star on an “NCIS” show. So hammy and zero range.

by Anonymousreply 42September 11, 2025 11:15 PM

Bowen Yang. Thankfully, he’s in very little.
