Julianne Hough and Derek Hough's Siblings Feel "Sadness" They Aren't as Successful in Hollywood

Dancing With the Stars host Julianne Hough detailed how her and brother Derek Hough’s older sisters feel about not finding as much success in Hollywood: “There is a sadness.”

“My oldest sister, she started in the Mormon way, so she got married at 19 and had six kids,” Julianne said on the Sept. 9 episode of the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast. “My second sister moved to Nashville to be a country star and my third sister wanted to be an actress.”

“There's no jealousy, but there is a sadness that maybe there wasn't an opportunity for them to experience it,” Julianne continued of her sisters. “They're so happy, so, so, so happy. They have great lives, and they love their life. But, we had an opportunity that they didn't have. And it's hard.”

No. One. Cares.

Talk about white entitlement.

Bitch, you re not guaranteed success in any field you happen to go into.

Your lucky to have the success you have only because you dance really well.

Fuck off

That’s some serious sibling shade.

by Anonymousreply 5September 10, 2025 5:30 PM

Their siblings feel sadness because the Whoville twins are just mildly D-list successful? Shit I'd rather be successful in a real job. Next.

[quote] Whoville

They’re not Ginch-like creatures?

by Anonymousreply 7September 10, 2025 5:38 PM

R7 if you mean Grinch, it's the same original artist (Dr. Seuss) - so yeah it's all Whoville.

Ginch!

Birth control would have helped.

Stupidest thing I’ve read today.

JFC. Stop making threads of this disgusting closet case.

Referring to Derek Hough as a "Ginch-like creature" (the original author clearly meant to write "Grinch") is a very longstanding DL meme.

THE MORE YOU KNOW...

Haha!

How nice of Julianne to be the one to say how her siblings feel. What a shady cunt.

by Anonymousreply 15September 11, 2025 3:28 AM

Thank you, R13. Now can you explain the evolution of “shitbra”?

[quote] 'Ginch' is a DL-ism; I guess it was originally a typo and it took off from there. In full, it's usually something like, "Ha-ha, Ginch-like creature", when Hough is mentioned.

[quote] Its first use on DL was actually quoting a response from the defunct Yahoo Answers! which itself likely contained a typo. The response was to a Yahoo Answers! question regarding Derek Hough and was something like the aforementioned “Ha-ha, Ginch-like creature”. (Yahoo Answers! was not exactly known as an Algonquin Round Table gathering.)

Julianne has failed at nearly everything, except dancing. Remember her country music career? Her "acting" career?

Yeah, that's what I thought.

by Anonymousreply 19September 11, 2025 5:03 PM

R17, thank you!

by Anonymousreply 20September 11, 2025 5:05 PM

Did Mark Ballas' parents refused to take in all the Hough siblings during their childhoods? Derek and Julianne lived with the Ballas family in England to learn to dance.
