Music that hits you different as an adult
I never liked much Jackson Browne music. My father did. I didn’t listen much because of the Daryl Hannah stories. But in his last year alive, my dad mentioned that For A Dancer reminded him of me as a child. I don’t think I heard of the song before or thought of it since.
I watched the Ted Danson show A Man On The Inside, where he plays a widower acting as a detective in a nursing home. And when For A Dancer ended an episode and I immediately burst into wracking sobs.
Miss ya, pops.

I wasn’t a big LCD Soundsystem fan but
“It comes apart the way it does in bad films except the part where the moral kicks in”
Yikes.
Where are all my friends?

You've got to get yourself together
You've got stuck in a moment
And now you can't get out of it
Don't say that later will be better
Now you're stuck in a moment
And you can't get out of it
And if, and if the night runs over
And if the day won't last
And if your way should falter
Along the stony pass
It's just a moment, this time will pass

Funny, R2.
I was singing this song to myself just a few days ago.
