She was given a choice and chose her daughter, which meant turning her back on everything that came before Jason Brooks and becoming a religious zealot and the kind of wife that Scott wanted.

I'm not defending her or excusing her conservative leanings or social media posts, but she allowed herself to become "reprogrammed" to keep her kid.

Some might say she should have kept her legs closed, and none of this would have happened, but if anyone remembers 1994 Jason Brooks - come on. You would have to be made of stone not to want to go on that ride.

Sadly, social media has allowed us to learn certain unpleasant things about the people who portray the characters we love. However, soap actors have always tended to lean more conservative and Jesus-friendly than other actors; they just didn't have a platform to let us know. The soap press and the soap PR machine cleaned up a lot of this before it hit print.

The show has turned to utter shit. I paused the show for a minute & it took me back to the very start.

I had to take a phone call (a person's birthday) & it took me back to another 1 minute comm. break b4 I could watch it where I had left off. I'm not crazy about any of the characters who are stuck in personality loops (except Kristen going to jail for her daughter, which is so darn dumb) & hope the show gets some new characters worthy of my time. R12 nailed it.

I certainly don't love everything the new writers are doing, but I do appreciate the deeper character interactions we're seeing. If you preferred Carlivati's plot-over-character approach, I can see why this may not be your cup of tea.

They are now setting it up that Marlena had a child with Stefano or Tate’s new baby is John reincarnated. They would be dumb enough to make Marlena pregnant again, would they?

The story writes itself, R79, and I am curious why they never went there. I know that in '91, when they got Dee back and then Wayne, they believed that Roman and Marlena were the endgame. Roman and Marlena were the it couple for a time, but John and Marlena eclipsed Roman and Marlena.

Fans have talked about a possible John and Marlena 1986 baby for years. What if that baby was raised by Stefano or turned into Pawn II and is coming to town and played by the Northrup kid?

I hope this story doesn't take too much screentime away from Julie's bookstore of the Dimera Free Clinic.

I'm not sure what the issue is with the DiMera free clinic. In true DiMera tradition, it's going to be a front for something nefarious.

My only gripe with the show is that Tony is acting more like Andre than Tony, and I'm so tired of business stories. This is not the business story soap. Titan was created so that John and Marlena could fuck in the conference room, and don't get me started on DiMera Enterprises. One more gripe, they are wasting Robert Scott Wilson. Turn him back into Ben and recast Ciara. I'm not sure why that character can't be recast.

If Ron's crazy wasn't doing it for you, hire a fresh, young writer, pair him or her with someone seasoned, and freshen up the show. There is an opportunity that is being wasted.

I thought Hope's "Holy shit" upon seeing Megan Hathaway in Beyond Salem was ushering in a more provocative show. The Alex/Chanel/Allie 3-way was pretty risqué, and there was plenty of homo action, and I think Brady flashed his ass. But things became watered down, especially with the writers strike, and I don't think the geriatric fraus that replaced Ron have it in them to push boundaries, if they can even find them.
