Robert De Niro on Donald Trump: “He’s a punk. He’s a dog. He’s a pig. He’s a con. A bullshit artist

Someone asked, "Why don't some Britons like Donald Trump?"

Nate White, an eloquent and witty English writer, wrote this magnificent response: Trump lacks certain qualities that the British traditionally value.

He has no class, no charm, no coolness, no credibility, no compassion, no wit, no warmth, no wisdom, no subtlety, no sensitivity, no self-awareness, no humility, no honor, and no grace, qualities, oddly enough, with which his predecessor, Mr. Obama, was generously endowed.

While Trump may be ridiculous, he has never said anything ironic, amusing, or even mildly funny, not once, ever. I don't mean this rhetorically, I mean it literally: never. To British sensibilities a lack of humor is almost inhuman.

But with Trump, it's a fact. He doesn't even seem to understand what a joke is, to him, a joke is a crude comment, an illiterate insult, an act of casual cruelty.

De Niro says what most of the world thinks.

Thank you Deniro. No fucking over the top theatrics, just plain, bare and naked spoken from a true blue New Yorker from a regular neighborhood back in his day. This is going to nag at Trump because Deniro is such a man’s man and highly respected.

He has likely never read an entire book.

It's well-known and well-substantiated by people who know him well, that he doesn't read anything R5.

The people of the UK had their own Trump, fellow Russian asset and generalist asshole Boris Johnson, and are currently toying with installing an even more blatant one, Nigel Farage, as their prime minister. Because their current PM, Sir Keir Starmer, is decent and competent but just doesn't tickle their clits.

DeNiro as usual not afraid to speak the truth.

About a week before the election, DeNiro acknowledged Trump would probably win but that he is no standup guy and will eventually get his. You know how Trump tries to present himself as a gangster, but DeNiro asserted that no one from that world truly respects him, not the real ones. He’s 100% spot on. Trump lies too much as well as runs that mouth too much to ever be respected by true gangsters. The only “gangsters” that supports him are the ghetto ratchet low rent thugs or sons of anarchy types. Trump is a bitch.

There should be thousands and thousands of well-known people like Robert DeNiro.

He speaks the truth plainly, simply and brutally, and it stings.
