This feels like the last thing in the world I would want to see: re-enactment of torture and murder to titillate and shock, two prime objectives of most of his projects.

Going on and on about Gen Z when professional critics who are well past 40 mostly hate the show

Hunnam is playing creepy by not blinking. I stated watching episode one and in closeups, he isn't. My friend who knew nothing about him or saw him in anything before finished the show and said, just give the Emmy to him, he's that good.

It took me a couple episodes to settle into that voice he was using, but once I “got it” I was really impressed. I thought his scenes with Lesley Manville were really powerful. Manville and Vicky Krieps will both be Emmy-nominated for this. To be honest, I’m not sure who I would choose to win. Today it’s Manville, tomorrow it could be Krieps.

Laurie Metcalf was great but that’s nothing I haven’t already seen from here. Manville was just devastating.

R188 Yes, he did have a type, you're right. His type was people who looked like his ex. Long, dark hair, parted in the middle. This was all about getting back at the girl who broke his heart. He then wooed her back just to break up with her. All the women he killed for the most part, looked like her.

Ryan Murphy just slaps his name on things these days - I'm sure there's an edict about a necessary allotment of gayness and nudity but he really isn't making this show. It's much more about Ian Brennan running things on the Monster shows

Only got through the first episode. Dull and badly acted. Hunnam’s high pitched voice sounded completely fake.

A really sexy, brooding actor plays Anthony Perkins, that’s one of the versions later. I realized that he was on the second season of American Crime. He impressed me in this.

I'm currently watching "Le Serpent" series on Netflix, bases upon the real life serial killer, Charles Sobhraj. When you read the Wiki on him, it's flabbergasting how he got away with it all, got caught, and was eventually released after serving time. He's still alive. He's murdered at least 20 people and had 3 wives (all obsessed with him).
