Is Tribeca annoying?

Are the fraus impossible? I’ve lived out of Manhattan for a long time and am considering Tribeca.

Avoid the stinky straight fat chicks and you'll be ok

by Anonymousreply 1September 3, 2025 2:42 PM

You'll be fine, OP.

by Anonymousreply 2September 3, 2025 2:43 PM

You can’t afford Tribeca.

by Anonymousreply 3September 3, 2025 2:56 PM

Ass omeone who doesn't live in or near New York, what is "Tribeca"?

by Anonymousreply 4September 3, 2025 3:07 PM

*As someone

by Anonymousreply 5September 3, 2025 3:08 PM

There still isn't much down there.

TriBeCa stands for Trinagle Beneath Canal -- it's a triangle shaped neighborhood beneath Canal Street.

I don't really think of Tribeca as Frau Central -- I think of it was douchey finance bro central, since they're the ones who can afford to live there. All blue dress shirts with those little puffy Patagonia vests. Assholes.

I work adjacent to the neighborhood and fucking hate those rich sleazebags whenever I have to walk through it. They're the devils in this city who support Trump no doubt.

It’s sort of abandoned at night

As I recall, it was DeNiro and JFK Jr. who made this neighborhood popular. Before that I believe it was just a desolate area with a bunch of empty warehouses (someone else please correct me if I’m wrong).

Such a weird neighborhood - incredibly rich but not very functional. Lacking delis and a lot of support services. I’ll take the West Village any day - even if it means a smaller space. Also not a huge fan of loft spaces - often limited light and cold. Yet, the straight married Wall Streeters seem to love Tribeca. The new Upper East Side.

In Tribeca, all seemed to breathe freedom and peace, and to make one forget the world and its sad turmoils.

by Anonymousreply 11September 4, 2025 2:12 PM

Can you afford it, hun?
