Saturday Night at the Baths

This low budget movie probably has been discussed here before here, but it deserves a mention. I found this film on PlutoTV and it was totally unknown to me. The plot is flimsy, dialogue is silly and unrealistic, and the acting is stale. But it is quite the interesting time capsule of the era after Stonewall and before AIDS. Also reflects the relaxed standards in filming sexuality back in the 70s - several full-frontal scenes. Boomers will recognize the fashions. New Yorkers will enjoy a glimpse of the past - especially the spacious apartment two struggling artists can afford. Amusing that the straight couple had a rainbow bedspread on their bed- this was before the Pride Flag arrive on the public domain.
