Webb telescope discovers Uranus' tiniest moon
[quote]NASA's JWST has discovered a new tiny moon orbiting Uranus, bringing the ice giant's total known moons to 29.
[quote]The newly discovered moon measures just six miles (10 km) in diameter, making it one of the smallest known moons in the solar system and likely Uranus' tiniest satellite. According to NASA, this diminutive size explains why the moon escaped detection by the Voyager 2 spacecraft during its historic flyby in 1986, and remained invisible to other telescopes until now.

Another big Uranus mystery was solved just last month.
[quote]A new study led by University of Houston researchers, in collaboration with planetary scientists worldwide, suggests Uranus does have its own internal heat. The discovery resolves a long-standing scientific mystery about the giant planet, because observational analyses from Voyager 2 in 1986 didn’t suggest the presence of significant internal heat – contradicting scientists’ understanding of how giant planets form and evolve.

If Uranus were smaller across, that moon would look bigger.
