Personal Assistant in Bel-Air (dog lover)
Personal Assistants
Feb 10
We are looking for a dog-loving Personal Assistant in Bel-Air. You will typically be starting at 9am with a flexible end time (about a 50 hour work week). The principal has a toddler and several rescue dogs, so you must be comfortable around kids and dogs. Every day will be different, but responsibilities will include accompanying the principal on set, occasionally feeding the dogs, accompanying the dog walker on walks, grocery shopping, making returns, packing/unpacking for travel, errands, and accompanying the principal on her day-to-day tasks and anticipating her needs. The ability to manage social media would be a plus as would an interest in film/television.
The ideal candidate must be active, quick on their feet, very tech-savvy, and presentable. Must be able to travel.
Salary: DOE

[quote] accompanying the dog walker on walks
I would need to walk with the dog walker when they walk the dogs? Is the dog walker not trustworthy? Or are we walking an entire kennel here?

Are they rescue dogs?

Having to sign an NDA would be a red flag for me. It's not listed in the description but I can tell it's coming..

Rightly so.

I’m glad the listing specified that the dogs were rescue dogs, but what abound the toddler? Is it a rescue toddler?

R12 It's a crack baby. Black as night.

Maybe it's a catalogue toddler.

Another red flag. Isn't that for the actress's PR people? Cheap.
Barbra Striesand must be a great employer to have kept Renata around for 50 years.

Must I wear an old-timey maid's uniform with a frilly hat and apron? Because that's what the "principal" wants.

I forgot at r15: Dog lover + toddler = Paris Hilton? She has another child, but it's still an infant. It says kids plural later in the listing. It's not clear from the whether the toddler has a nanny or not. Is childcare up to the PA, too?
by Anonymous | reply 17 | August 19, 2025 8:17 PM

If the there is no nanny and the toddler is still in diapers...

Yeah, who’s the bitch you’ll be working for? Does she wipe her own ass or is that part of the job too?

I think it’s Lindsay Lohan
by Anonymous | reply 20 | August 19, 2025 8:39 PM

For me the biggest red flag is the refusal to give a salary range. It makes me think the employer is planning on underpaying.
I remember years ago JLo was looking for an PA and the salary was something like 60k for a job with endless responsibilities.

That is cheap as can be R21. A lot of the listings on this site pay $40 per hour, which is $83, 200 per year. Some jobs I've seen on other sites like this pay $90,000 a year. And that's jobs that include housing. That bitch Jho, paying over 30% less. Cheap bitch

I am struck by the part about "making returns" -- something tells me that the principal occupies a lot of her time (is it wrong to assume it's a woman?) shopping on Rodeo Drive and/or online. Huuuuuge red flag for me. Shopping as a recreational occupation is something that turns me off. I like another criterion -- bing presentable. Ha!

I have a feeling that "about a 50 hour workweek" is actually closer to 80. Refusing to hire two PAs and have them work 40 hours each is another cheap cunt red flag. I wish we knew who this was.

[quote]Another red flag. Isn't that for the actress's PR people? Cheap.
This really struck me as well R15. Not only is it cheap, but stupid. You post one wrong thing on social media and you can get "cancelled".
PR is a profession for a reason.
Do you want a college student who may know how to use Capcut but a moron otherwise, in control of your public image?

"Chocolate Pie" or some more comfortable variation if the grande dame's expectations come to include the occasional dessert.
Don't these unpleasant people realize waitstaff spits in their food? What could a disgruntled dogshit collecter do? Around one's kid?

[quote] I am struck by the part about "making returns"
I noticed that right away. Can you imagine how many returns she has, if she has to mention that it's one of your responsibilities? I can GUARANTEE YOU there will be hell to pay if the store refuses to return/exchange something.
R1, Here's the listings. These are good. Some of these people are insane. I can't imagine living like these people
Wait until you see the UHNW (Ultra high net worth people)

After having taking pity and offering to help people in some pretty terrible circumstances —or taken less to help out a friend, org, etc. —I have almost always regretted it. Despite your good will you are just a someone who fulfills a need and eventually the person you were invested in helping becomes entitled, demanding or ungrateful. It’s akin to those hoarding specialists who come in and trying to help someone and the person is lovely and meek at the beginning of the show and within a day or so they are volatile ungrateful assholes. I hate being a misanthrope, but I didn’t become one on my own.

An older couple is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and experienced part-time housekeeper to maintain their 4,000 sq ft modern residence in Bel-Air. This is a long-term position for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys keeping a home pristine and well-organized…

Surely you can't think that's something I would post. Why, I'm a winsome flibbertigibbet, not some part of an "older" couple.

I actually think that I would make a good personal assistant. I'm organized, have a lot of different skills, and I've always enjoyed being "of service." I'm also sane, financially stable and independent, and hardworking so I would be interviewing the family as much as they would be interviewing me. Some of those jobs listed on the site would basically be stripping you of any private life.

Tori Spelling has multiple dogs, including one named Musso, who notably found a "severed human big toe" in a Toronto hotel room. She also has a Great Pyrenees named Frankie Dawn, introduced in 2021, and a rescued senior dog named Arthur Bear Reynolds. Additionally, there's a dog named Tori Spelling, described as a Beagle/Lab mix, who is available for adoption at Needy Paws Rescue.

August 2025: "Hey everybody, meet Shoshana, our awesome new PA. She's like a gift from Goddess. She reads our minds and anticipates what we need almost without us even saying. If there's anything you need, just let her know. She even made the gougeres!"
September 2025: "It's so sad, but Shoshana just didn't work out. She was spending too much time on the phone with her family. It seems like her mom was having, like, cancer treatment or something. She just lost it with our long-time dog walker one day, so we had to let her go. But this is Candela, and she's just so awesome . . ."

It would be strange to have to seek out randoms to be so intimately acquainted with your life, especially in this day and age of cellphone cameras and the ability to record/take photos of anything and everything.
It feels like an invasive "burden" of being so rich/famous/busy that you can't take of day-to-day stuff by yourself so you have to invite in people you don't know to be in your space with you.

R38 But you don't read Runway, and before today, you'd never heard of me, and you have no style or sense of fashion. No, no. That's not a question.
