Howard Stern Reportedly Has A Done Mega Deal Amid Show Getting Axed Rumors
Howard Stern seems to be stuck with Sirius XM for the foreseeable future!
The media personality and the company have reportedly taken a bold step in their working relationship by extending terms with a new and juicy mega deal.
Howard Stern's perceived turnaround emerges after weeks of heavy speculation that he was exiting Sirius XM for good, in search of a new and greener pasture.

Howard Stern seems so early 2000s, I guess there's a crowd still listening?

He should have ended the show years ago while being on top.

R7, we don’t know because Sirius doesn’t release numbers. I figured they’ve kept him around the past decade for name recognition.
There are a couple of podcasts out there that are critical of him that go over this stuff, but I just don’t care anymore.

To this day, he still says he likes Trump, so you can stop acting like he's part of the resistance.

Sirius XM keeps Howard around for the same reason as HBO continues to hang on to Bill Maher. At least with Howard he has evolved politically (he used to claim that he was a libertarian).
Maher was never a progressive, and was only perceived that way because he was against the Iraq war and was anti-GWB and formerly anti-Trump. He’s always been a libertarian shitstain that got too much of a pass from liberals.

At least Howard Stern will be recognized as a trailblazer or innovator. Though that may not be a positive thing, he's at least memorable. Bill Maher is someone who got a lucky break and will not be remembered.

Bill Maher will ALWAYS be remembered for letting his mouth get him shit canned from ABC.

Yes, I heard that quote from Stern and he makes it a point to say that he doesn't Trump, he hates the Americans who voted for him. How nice that he doesn't hate the man who is trying to destroy democracy, but that he's an elitist asshole who picks on the uneducated and gullible who voted for him. Stern is such an asshole.

Being an asshole is what made him a billionaire.

Here's the quote from Stern:
“I don’t agree with Trump politically, I don’t think he should be anywhere near the White House. I don’t hate the guy. I hate the people who vote for him. I think they’re stupid. I do. I’ll be honest with you, I have no respect for you.”
So yeah, he doesn't hate Trump. I guess cons got to stick together.

"How nice that he doesn't hate the man who is trying to destroy democracy, but that he's an elitist asshole who picks on the uneducated and gullible who voted for him."
And how nice of you to think that MAGAts are simply "uneducated and gullible." Do you think those people charging up the US Capitol, armed to the max, on 1/6/21, wanting to murder Nancy Pelosi and Mike Pence were simply uneducated and gullible?
Donald Trump has now been through 3 elections: 2016, 2020 and 2024. He is a convicted felon, a violence prone narcissist, a probable child rapist, a convicted con artist/grifter, a failed businessman, a sexual predator, etc, etc. In 2024, 77 million Americans didn't vote for Trump because they were uneducated and gullible. To the contrary, they knew full well who they were voting for, and in spite of everything known about Trump, still went ahead and voted for him. That's hardly uneducated and gullible.
With such Pollyannaish and ignorantly naive beliefs like R21's, it's no fucking wonder Democrats can't get elected dog catcher: they are not reality based.

[quote] [R12] and [R23] He said he didn't hate him. He mentioned NOTHING about liking him.
If he's so easily able to hate millions of Americans who voted for the man, why not Trump himself?

R29 Right. I want r23 to have that same energy for Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, and all the other democratic icons who attended Trump’s inauguration. That man disrespected Biden to his face, still says the election was stolen, will never concede it, and most importantly REFUSED to attend Biden’s inauguration after inciting an insurrection.
Now either they know something we don’t or they just don’t have the balls to say fuck Trump. Which is fine, I will still support Dems. And yall know I love me some Barack Obama. But why do people come in here bashing regular folks, and non politician celebs for being anti-Trump but cordial. You want everyone to act like Trump is Satan. Your own elected officials won’t even stand on that same energy.

[quote] What reason would that be?
Certain big media companies, Sirius XM and HBO, view Stern and Maher as legendary iconoclasts from the bygone era whose voices are still needed today. The only difference is that Stern has gotten more progressive, while Maher has become more reactionary. I would argue that he's always been a reactionary asshole, and the shit he's doing now (e.g., admonishing liberals/progressives for rejecting Joe Rogan, Elon Musk, etc.) isn't all that different from his Politically Incorrect days.
