How do we take back 2026 & 2028?
Please show us a path, that doesn’t include moving to Europe, so that we may mobilize & fight for our mother-fucking lives & democracy.
Let’s spitball some ideas!
There’s gotta be something we can do, right???

Gavin Newsom is the path.

Then he is gonna have to rally ALL dems, independents, & centrists, R1.
Can he? Yes.
Will he?
I’m not too sure, as of today.

Just wanna add, GN MUST do more than simply feuding on X & BlueSky, in order to win.
This approach MUST be tri-pronged, targeted, well conceived arrows for low info voters, well conceived arrows for high info voters, while ALSO raining upon all voters, down & dirty arrows, for a win.
That’s not easy, so he needs to focus on becoming an asshole, who ALSO happens to speak like MLK, Jr., and/or, Barack Obama.
NOT easy for a white guy to pull off.
I recommend that there’s a HUGE focus on funding for liberal, non-white candidates for local, & higher echelon seats.
We shall see, what happens.

Where do you expect liberal non white candidates to win outside of reliably blue areas? That won’t change anything on our current political scene.

True, R5, however, we must get it where we can.
We must start thinking differently.
What we’re doing now is not working.
We have to take risks, that’s all I’m saying.

The first thing we have to do is to get rid of all the old school Democratic politicians who have repeatedly shown that they are not equipped to operate in this new political climate. They are unable to meet the moment because their skillset is relevant to a political era where there was negotiation, compromise and deals which will never return. These people also have no idea how to communicate using today's technology and communication methods. Schumer, Jefferies et al. They all have to retire and if they wont retire and do the right thing (when they know they have to) then they have to be pushed out like Biden was. It seems harsh but these people are not concerned about you and I or democracy - they are concerned about keeping their places and retaining the status quo. The longer they hang on tooth and nail, when they know they aren't up to the task and they know they have to go - the more angry and disillusioned Democratic Party supporters are going to get and it will eventually turn into abuse because these people will cost the Democrats the 2028 election if they aren't long gone.
So that's the first thing. Everyone who was central to the Biden era has to go.
Will post about Newsom next OP.

The Democrats are in a bind because they are not aligned with popular opinions on many issues voters care about. They went with an ideology shared with their more educated voters but not with blue collar and lower middle class voters of all ethnicities. So they look out of touch and clueless. Unfortunately, there is also still the idea that insulting voters and calling them racist and sexist is the way to go. That doesn’t help either.

Yes indeed, we too use "cookies." Take a look at our privacy/terms or if you just want to see the damn site without all this bureaucratic nonsense, click ACCEPT. Otherwise, you'll just have to find some other site for your pointless bitchery needs.
