It's not murder, but it's definitely a crime.

She had three kids already. That's enough.

Why didn’t I think of that!

It's not murder but it *is* a violation if she didn't consent to or know about the drugs.

Slip her the abortion drug! Maybe you too could become a Trump henchman.

In the current regime, it’s not a crime if the MAN does it; it’s his “right” to control a woman’s body (that is, as long as the man is white).

So, a woman can go to jail in TX for an abortion but if a man forcibly gives her abortion pills against her will, he's fine? WTF

Buck never would've spiked his pregnant girlfriend's hot chocolate with abortion pills!

This isn't the first time someone has done this. There was a case in Florida 12 years ago where a man tricked a woman he had gotten pregnant into taking Cytotec. He told her it was amoxicillin for an infection. Despite being a white male from an extremely wealthy family, he was sentenced to nearly 14 years in prison.

The plot thickens in the Florida case. Apparently a cell mate of the boyfriend came forward with information implicating involvement of the boyfriend's father (a prominent physician) and stepmother in conspiring to cause the abortion. The article is from 2018 which is about 5 years after the crime. I'm not sure whatever became of it.

I'm not a woman but I think I would leave the law out of it and just kill him. Fuck that guy. If she wanted to have a baby then that was her choice.

That's none of your business. Her body, her choice.

I'm guessing the reason these men killed their unborn children was to avoid child support obligations. 18 years in prison in lieu of18 years of child support seems oddly fitting.

Abortion will always remain a contentious issue and OP’s poll exemplifies why. It is dishonest to call a very-early-first-trimester fetus a person with full legal rights, and it is dishonest to call it merely a blob of cells.
Impossible to quantify but you have to choose something if you’re the judge. I’d take the typical sentence for murder and reduce it 50%. 10 to 15 years sounds right.

Totally agree, Torta @ R15.

This is a bizarre story - but even more so - Dr. Liana Davis is the woman, she'a s researcher at Texas A&M Corpus Christi. She was still in the middle of a divorce from her husband.
And the man she was with was a marine - a bit of an unusual pairing if he's enlisted.
How this young woman got a PhD and has three kids is quite an accomplishment.
