What should equality for trans look like?

Sports is an area that is controversial.

Even though the right pretends it’s a crisis, there’s are in fact a minuscule number of trans athletes— even fewer are any good. When Utah passed its ban on trans athletes in schools, there were only two such athletes in the whole state. NCAA only has 12 trans among its thousands of athlete members.

Most studies show that trans females don’t have a strength advantage of hormones are started prior to puberty. Since that seems to be headed for a ban, there won’t be any trans females like that left:

A compromise might be trans leagues but there just aren’t that many trans. Plus, that’s a lot like Negro Leagues, created because they were left out of the existing leagues.

There are some sports where gender makes no real difference—like equestrian sports—but is it fair to exclude trans from everything else? Maybe a team can have a trans person on it if the opposing team does too, in any sport.

They should be allowed to dress in a gender-non-conforming way without harassment. They should be allowed to change their names to whatever they like. They should be allowed to take cross-sex hormones and have surgery as long as they are adults.

They should not expect society to pretend they have actually changed sex. Male prisoners should be sent to men's prisons. Male athletes should compete against other men. Phrases such as "prostate havers" and "uterus owners" should not be indulged. It should be made clear that transitioning will limit your dating pool, and that no one needs to apologise for not finding them attractive.

Come on. You're never going to convince people that puberty blockers do no damage. And you're never going to make a compelling case that the 3000% increase in kids looking for "trans care" isn't reflective of mismanaged social contagion.

What did trans people do for decades when it comes to bathrooms? Just go where you want but if you claim you are a woman or a man at least look the part. Don’t go to the women’s toilets with a full beard and a beer belly. It’s not rocket science.

Their profession as prostitutes should be respected. Every group has a chosen profession they enjoy. Jews are bankers and lawyers. Vietnamese love doing nails. Koreans love doing dry cleaning. Latinos love cleaning toilets. And transsexuals love sex work.
