The Prosthetic Penis: We don’t have male nudity anymore. We have a costume of male nudity

Eh. We still see far more penises (real or prosthetic) on screen than we do vulvae.

Men are afraid to expose their real penis on film, since everyone ( DLers) will take to social media to decry them as "little dicked," no matter the size.

I boycott movies that use prosthetics.

The average erect penis is 5.1 inches. That means half the penises out there are less than that.

With female nudity, the genitals are rather hidden if she’s not bent over with her legs spread wide and a spotlight on it. I doubt there’s reason to make a fake clitoris or labia because it’s all tucked away (though I’m sure it’s been done). The female nude can be quite be quite beautiful in its simplicity. More or less.

With male nudity it’s all out there in the front and you see every hanging jiggly kibble and bit, in one spot. And penises and scrotums have an infinite variety. They can be jarring compared to the rest of the body. There’s a lot to think about in their presentation in a non-porn format. Small, soft, pudgie, hair ratio, etc. It can be quite weird and ugly if you’re not looking at someone you find really attractive.

The French and Brits show dong on screen all the time. Latest seen, Josh O'Connor in the otherwise underwhelming period drama, "Mothering Sunday" (2021). On Tubi.

It's an American actor problem.

R11, yeah, European actors seems much more comfortable with nudity and their bodies.
