Prince Harry denies giving Prince Andrew bloody nose at family gathering

Prince Harry has denied he gave Prince Andrew “a bloody nose” during a fight at a family gathering in 2013.

According to an excerpt from a new biography of the disgraced Duke of York, published in the Daily Mail on Saturday, the pair had a heated argument that escalated into a physical altercation. “Punches were thrown over something Andrew said behind Harry’s back”, the author Andrew Lownie claimed.

The alleged fight began when “Harry told [his uncle] he was a coward not to say it to his face. Harry got the better of Andrew by all accounts, leaving him with a bloody nose before the fight was broken up.”

Lownie’s biography, Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, also claims Andrew told his nephew that his marriage to Meghan Markle, now the Duchess of Sussex, would “not last more than a month”.

He allegedly “accused Meghan of being an opportunist and thought she was too old for Harry, adding that his nephew was making the biggest mistake ever,” and told his nephew he had gone “bonkers”, accusing him of not doing “any due diligence into her past” before they got engaged in 2017.

He does own up to viciously headbutting his aunt Sophie Edinburgh at the Ascot races, however.

Prince Andrew was seen sporting a black eye shortly before Meghan and Harry announced their engagement.

Well, Andrew wasn't wrong in his advice to Harry.

I guess Harry didn't include this nugget in 'Spare', since he couldn't turn it in to himself being the victim.

by Anonymousreply 3August 3, 2025 4:55 PM

Hilarious to see the Guardian use the balding Harry picture!

by Anonymousreply 4August 3, 2025 5:00 PM

Pervert Andrew giving relationship advice to anybody is hilarious. Harry should have knocked him out.

by Anonymousreply 5August 3, 2025 5:40 PM

It’s good to highlight Harry’s irrational behavior and violent temper.

by Anonymousreply 6August 3, 2025 7:20 PM

I've always been curious why Harry and Meghan seem to go out of their way not to criticize Andrew. They threw basically everyone else under the bus, but not the pedo uncle. Of course, there's that rumour that Meghan actually met Andrew through Soho house connections and they fucked before she actually met Harry but I don't believe it. People on SM have pointed out that Andrew made an appearance at a family funeral in 2017 with a black eye which was around the time Harry was advising his family of his desire to marry her. And I mean if anyone knows anything about opportunistic women, it would be Andrew.

All that aside, Harry is an idiot for threatening to sue. All he's doing is giving this book free publicity. A book that was probably going to go under the radar after a few excerpts were published. Since Harry issued a statement, it's moved up to number 1 in royal biographies on Amazon. I know this "he punched Andrew" likely puts a question around who actually started the allegedly fight with William where the dog bowl and his necklace broke.

by Anonymousreply 7August 3, 2025 9:35 PM

The alleged 2013 incident had nothing to do with Meghan since they hadn't even met then. Probably just a couple of prickly assholes being themselves.

The gossip I do find interesting is that William can't stand Sarah Ferguson.

[QUOTE]The book claims Harry and his brother, William, had “problematic” relationships with Andrew for years and that Andrew was also rude about William’s wife, Catherine, the Princess of Wales.

[QUOTE]The source quoted in Lownie’s biography claims the Prince of Wales is keen to “evict” the duke and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, who lives with Andrew though the couple divorced in 1996.

[QUOTE]According to Entitled’s source, “[William] also loathes Sarah … and can’t wait for the day when his father throws them both out. If Charles doesn’t, I guarantee you the first thing William does when he becomes king is to get them evicted.”

She had it coming.

by Anonymousreply 9August 3, 2025 10:51 PM

It’s never irrational to knock out pervs who prey on underage girls. Strange you don’t think so, R6.

by Anonymousreply 10August 3, 2025 11:07 PM

R8 The author of the book clarified on X that the Daily Mail excerpt was fucked it up. There were allegedly two physical altercations between Andrew and Harry. One took place in 2013 (over what, I don't know) and 2017 over Meghan. The Megz one seems to line up with the photos of Andrew having a black eye.

That would finally be something cool if he had done that

by Anonymousreply 14August 4, 2025 3:52 AM

R7 isn't it the case that the proprietor of SoHo house is Andrew's bastard child and possible ex of Meghan, hence the muted response from The Sussexes?

by Anonymousreply 15August 4, 2025 2:44 PM

We both reached for the gun.

by Anonymousreply 16August 4, 2025 2:47 PM

[quote] She had it coming.

I hated Sophie since she styled herself like a pound shop Diana in the 90s.

by Anonymousreply 17August 4, 2025 3:38 PM

There have been lots of rumors that Harry has a huge problem with violence. He was said to have brutally roughed up prostitutes near his military base when he was in the army and that it had to be hushed up.

by Anonymousreply 18August 4, 2025 4:10 PM

We get told that Beatrice and Eugenie are devoted to their parents and also Harry and Meghan 's only friends in the royal family. This doesn't seem to fit with the Harry and Andrew have repeated fist fights story

by Anonymousreply 19August 4, 2025 4:25 PM

The book in question is all about Andrew. Here's an excerpt. Have only skimmed, but the gossip looks promising.

[QUOTE]A former aide had been reduced to tears after being ‘bawled at’ in a phone call before dawn because Andrew was unhappy with a story in the Sun newspaper. A member of staff was moved to other duties because Andrew ‘disliked a mole on the man’s face’, another ‘because the man was wearing a nylon tie’.

[QUOTE]Some say a report on bullying accusations against Meghan Markle has never been released because it would also raise questions about the behaviour of the Queen’s second son

The smoked weenie wraps were burning on the grill at the trailer park that night, and they'd run out of beer.

by Anonymousreply 21August 4, 2025 4:57 PM

Harry is tired of being Wills’ whipping boy, and is finally speaking up!

by Anonymousreply 22August 4, 2025 5:49 PM

>>A member of staff was moved to other duties because Andrew ‘disliked a mole on the man’s face’, another ‘because the man was wearing a nylon tie’.

Is Andrew a DLer? He shows promise.

by Anonymousreply 23August 6, 2025 7:58 AM

I just read the article. Andrew has to go. It's not enough to hide him and let him be considered a part of that family.

He's worse than the Harkles.

The Telegraph (aka the Torygraph) have given it a poor review.

R24 Harry & Meghan are annoying but in kind of a car crash kind of way. Andrew is just evil and the real threat to the long term stability of the monarchy. It seems that it's going to be William who is going to be left to deal with it sadly.

by Anonymousreply 26August 12, 2025 9:36 PM

[quote]Andrew is ... the real threat to the long term stability of the monarchy

First positive thing I've ever read about this epic loser.

by Anonymousreply 27August 12, 2025 9:38 PM

[quote] A book that was probably going to go under the radar after a few excerpts were published.

I don’t think the Harry incident has anything to do with the book’s success. There are far more interesting and relevant stories in the book that are driving the interest.

by Anonymousreply 28August 12, 2025 9:44 PM

R26. Andrew has no public role and is sidelined . Harry and Meghan are publicly trading on their titles. That’s why they are at least as serious a concern as Andrew.

by Anonymousreply 29August 12, 2025 9:47 PM

The thing is, go where? Ship him off to Dubai? He’s going to be trouble wherever he ends up. Isn’t it better that he’s nearby on a leash? The palace should take him off their website and out of the line of succession (however remote that is) and drop him from Counselor of State (ditto). No more invites to Christmas dinner. I know this sounds pretty minor. But he’s a sleaze not a criminal. They can’t put him under house arrest.

by Anonymousreply 30August 12, 2025 9:51 PM

His Epstein ties are now being furthered into Russia.

by Anonymousreply 31August 13, 2025 12:44 AM

Putin has Andrew recordings via Epstein.

The excerpts from that book reprinted on the Mail's website have been JUICY. Andrew is such a sleazebag, I felt dirty just reading them.

[quote]Andrew has no public role and is sidelined . Harry and Meghan are publicly trading on their titles.

Yes, Andrew has been neutralized. It's Harry and Meghan who are the nuclear catastrophe that is still leaking extraordinary deadly radiation that over time will kill far more than the initial blast. They must be stripped bare and disappeared from the BRF.

by Anonymousreply 34August 13, 2025 6:12 AM

[quote] Prince Andrew was seen sporting a black eye shortly before Meghan and Harry announced their engagement.

Better a black eye than a Blackamoor brooch. I am still in the dog house with King Charles, I might have to go back to prostitution.

by Anonymousreply 35August 13, 2025 6:19 AM

R35, I was just thinking we made too much of that Blackamoor brooch. I've read Princess Michael's books, and she's a cat lover, so that's worth something.

by Anonymousreply 36August 13, 2025 6:36 AM

And Adolph was a dog lover.

by Anonymousreply 37August 13, 2025 9:24 AM

Send them all three of them through a French tunnel - and deploy the Fiat.

by Anonymousreply 38August 13, 2025 10:31 AM

This would have significantly increased my respect for Harry.

by Anonymousreply 39August 13, 2025 11:19 AM

I guess Andrew would know all about opportunists… like when you’re friends with pedos who procure underage girls for you.

by Anonymousreply 40August 13, 2025 11:22 AM

Andrew figures prominently in the Epstein files that EVERYONE is ranting about, yet Harry denying a story about punching him is “driving” the book sales? Make it make sense, as the kids say.

by Anonymousreply 41August 13, 2025 12:09 PM

r20's article. Wow. Andrew is such a pig.

by Anonymousreply 42August 13, 2025 1:03 PM

When William becomes King he's going to do some major house cleaning. I'm sure Andrew is dreading that day.

by Anonymousreply 43August 13, 2025 1:05 PM

It always seemed bizarre the way the late queen favoured him. She represented the opposite of herself and embodied all the traits she would have rejected in herself. Thatcher was similar in her treatment of her son.

by Anonymousreply 44August 13, 2025 4:21 PM

[quote] It always seemed bizarre the way the late queen favoured him.

I wondered at that too until one mother of four told me about her close relationship with one of her sons. "People think mothers pick favorites but it's the child who picks us." By all accounts Andrew was a devoted, attentive son who probably hid the worst of his boorishness around his Mum. Plus he was single for most of his life leaving him free to butter her up exclusively.

by Anonymousreply 45August 13, 2025 5:24 PM

Harry's denial is typical of his tone deaf choices. I'm sure if he owned up to hitting pervert Andrew, his popularity would go up. As things stand, he's a figure of contempt and ridicule. Deservedly so. Get a job.

by Anonymousreply 46August 13, 2025 5:30 PM

It's funny how we are now finding out how shitty of a person Andrew was for decades. They covered up a lot of bad PR for him - of course he was the Queen's favorite, so that may be the reason.

Meanwhile, Edward doesn't even register - he's all but forgotten and not spoken about. (I have to wonder if that is his former PR exec wife's doing though).

by Anonymousreply 47August 13, 2025 5:34 PM

What's so remarkable is that Andrew would bring his girlfriends to lunch with the Queen. I don't know if it was in the DM excerpt or a review. It was a succession of young women vying for a dimness award the author said. Can you imagine subjecting your mother to a procession of bedmates and expect her to entertain them?

[QUOTE]But he’s a sleaze not a criminal.

Are we sure about that? He kept company with a criminal, so it should be expected that he engaged in some kind of activity that at least skirted illegality.

I wonder if he's capable of experiencing embarrassment or shame. If I had allcof these things written about me, I don't think I'd leave the house again.

by Anonymousreply 48August 13, 2025 5:58 PM

Maybe you weren’t paying attention. I heard about his antics as a trade representative years ago. There was even an episode of a sitcom that had a similar character show up, not as sleazy as real life but dense, entitled, troublesome. It was quite funny. I just looked it up, The Ambassadors (2013)

by Anonymousreply 49August 13, 2025 5:59 PM

[quote] It's funny how we are now finding out how shitty of a person Andrew was for decades.

You have revealed yourself to be a normal person. For those of us fanatics who have read virtually every single book about the Royals, upstairs and downstairs, Andrew's repulsiveness is taken for granted. No one has ever had anything good to say about him. This current recycled gossip "Rise and Fall of the House of York" is not breaking any new ground, except perhaps for the Harry/Andrew fight which probably didn't happen. The author is an experienced hack, always at the ready to put a mendacious spin on his subjects. Not that I won't read it.

by Anonymousreply 50August 13, 2025 6:18 PM

His antics as trade rep made Wikileaks. A U.S. diplomats descriptions of Andrew wrote in a cable that he's basically dense, entitled, and troublesome.

Back to criminality. This is assault.

[QUOTE]And he gets away with it. He hit a policeman as he sped into Buckingham Palace. The uniformed officer suffered an arm injury and complained to his bosses, but nothing was done.
