Not without Tim.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | July 31, 2025 10:28 PM |
No Tim No care.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | July 31, 2025 10:29 PM |
I can't believe this thing is still on, it premiered a month after Bush's reelection, for fuck sake. And I say this as a fan who used to watch it religiously and will tune into this season just to see its newest iteration.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | July 31, 2025 10:48 PM |
These two homos are taking part and I'm already sceptical. I wonder if they'll compete together or separately.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | July 31, 2025 11:15 PM |
I hate those twin b*tches already.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | August 1, 2025 1:32 AM |
I just can't warm to Law Roach. I guess he's better than Elaine though. marginally.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | August 1, 2025 1:45 AM |
No longer a fan and probably won’t watch any further. Too much drama, I suspect , encouraged by the producers. No thanks.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | August 1, 2025 1:55 AM |
So they keep the same people but Tim. Admittedly, I like Christian as a mentor better, but they should have made Tim a co-host or something.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | August 1, 2025 1:09 PM |
Forgot it was on.....maybe I'll tape it next week to watch later.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | August 1, 2025 1:47 PM |
I'm not even going to address the twins in the room, because we all know they're the worst. So glad Yuchen stood up for himself when one of them bullied him. Bitch, he finished ahead of you, why are you even lecturing him?!
Personally, I love the tauter editing so many are complaining about. I spent so much time in the past FF'ing through various portions because they either dragged or were too repetitive, so this is perfect for me. Could have done without the cutesy title cards changing for every bitchy little remark, but whatever.
Law Roach is a lot. Too much, in fact. But still miles better than Elaine.
People are complaining about Heidi's and Nina's new faces. Personally, I don't see much surgery, but I do see Heidi being lit like the sun itself, and then a smoothing filter applied all over the lower portion of her face in post. I studied her forehead as well and noticed she applies a thick layer of reflective cream, to try and reflect as much light as possible. Imagine being this beautiful and still this insecure.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | August 1, 2025 5:57 PM |
Nina's "new" face. I think it's just the menopause, she seems much the same to me.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | August 1, 2025 5:58 PM |
Oh, and does every contestant get complimentary veneers now? Literally every one of them has perfect teeth.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | August 1, 2025 6:00 PM |
Must they ALL be screeching freaks?
I long for the days of Kara Saum and Wendy. Even Austin Scarlett.
And in the old days there'd be at least one hunk, straight or not.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | August 1, 2025 11:50 PM |
Have you seen this Insta reel of Kenley screeching about being basically raped by Weinsten while Heidi watched?
I exaggerate, but she sounds completely unhinged.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | August 1, 2025 11:54 PM |
Fashion is secondary now, R13. Conflict draws viewers.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | August 2, 2025 12:09 AM |
That Law Roach fellow has quite the nerve lecturing someone about having attitude, seeing as how he’s the nastiest bitch to sit on that judging panel since Michael Kors.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | August 2, 2025 12:12 AM |
And MK was at least funny. LR seems. to have no sense of humor
by Anonymous | reply 17 | August 2, 2025 12:13 AM |
Watching it on Hulu. Heidi looks like she’s had a full facelift
Wish they brought back Tim Gunn. Maybe he’ll do a guest appearance
by Anonymous | reply 18 | August 2, 2025 12:38 AM |
Tim really doesn't fit on the show in this ugly mean-spirited version.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | August 2, 2025 12:56 AM |
Joseph was getting on my last nerve with his "you need to call me JosephMcRae – one word". Bitch, do your branding on your own time. I chuckled every time Heidi referred to him as just Joseph. He also pissed me off with that ridiculous top that barely contained his model's tits and a fucking African headwrap three stories high. She's supposed to go out hiking in that copy of your own outfit, really? How does someone who seems as fit as him not know how women dress for their workout sessions? Does he work out at gay-only gyms or something?
I know many of you miss Tim, but the inconvenient truth is he wasn't the mentor these designers really need because he was himself never a designer. Watch how direct – and ultimately helpful – Christian is when he says he could make something himself in ten minutes. The (relative) youth and being active in the fashion industry also helps. I'll take actual expertise over a generic benevolent presence and the millionth "make it work", sorry not sorry.
[quote]And MK was at least funny. LR seems. to have no sense of humor
MK was also their peer. I'd be pissed as well if a stylist and an "image architect" trashed my design like that in public.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | August 2, 2025 3:33 AM |
I didn't watch it either-"No Tim-No care" I forgot it was coming back on.
To R13-I agree with you-Kara Saum& Wendy Pepper were talented but HATED each other. I liked Austin Scarlett, he was different!!
Santino was kept on because of all the drama he caused!!
by Anonymous | reply 21 | August 2, 2025 4:08 AM |
Santino was kept on mostly because so many on the production team wanted to fuck him. Which is also how he landed that Drag Race gig, by the way – Ru found him hot and hired him. People forget just how exotic it was to see a confident masc gay man on TV back then, his appeal was undeniable.
These days, he's a Trump supporter who tweets about the dangers of vaccines non-stop since his account was reinstated after Musk's takeover. Still followed by Obama and HRC, hilariously.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | August 2, 2025 5:16 AM |
I hate that Law Roach person. What a fucking jerk.
I also hate those two awful twins. Just total assholes.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | August 2, 2025 8:21 AM |
Agree r23. Never heard of this Law Roach guy. What an asshole
Those twins. Oy. What drama queens
by Anonymous | reply 24 | August 2, 2025 9:31 AM |
It seems scripted and rehearsed. Are some of these "designers" actors or what?
by Anonymous | reply 25 | August 2, 2025 10:09 AM |
There is someone out there who funds Santino hot? There is a lid for every pot.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | August 2, 2025 10:44 AM |
Santino always looks like he stinks of dick cheese.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | August 2, 2025 10:49 AM |
The shrieking, the hugging (these people met each other five minutes ago), the sobbing. Other than three or four normal people, everyone else is so OVER THE TOP, the twins being the worst. They’re obviously auditioning for their own show. It’s all crammed into 50 minutes and seems so choppy.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | August 2, 2025 11:27 AM |
Who are the three or four normal people??
by Anonymous | reply 30 | August 2, 2025 12:28 PM |
Besides everything else I hate the way they film the runway show where everything and everyone appears to be in an overly-lit aquarium. As noted above Heidi looks mega lit and stretched to the max and she's now as bitchy as the other judges, very sad.
Oh - and we have to wait until the next episode to find out who won and who's out?? Puh-leeeeze.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | August 2, 2025 12:31 PM |
r27 Not necessarily hot, but attractive. And yes, he was still very young and attractive when he was on PR originally. Aged quite quickly after that, though.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | August 2, 2025 12:42 PM |
Roach needs to be taken down a peg, but I still can't wait for his "I'm not here to look at ugly fucking clothes!" meltdown next episode.
I also hated his cultural appropriation nonsense. He told that Nigerian auntie anecdote, then turned around smugly and asked if anyone on the (non-black) judging panel dared challenge him on that point. And then getting triggered by the kimono as well... Something tells me he didn't like the grandmother excuse, even though the designer clearly has Japanese features.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | August 2, 2025 12:49 PM |
Kenley was always off balance and in need of meds. Even if she's telling the truth no one really cares because she's so unhinged.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | August 2, 2025 1:03 PM |
Her crazy ass appeared on two seasons back when the show was good, what the fuck more does she want? Residuals?
by Anonymous | reply 35 | August 2, 2025 1:07 PM |
Somebody loves Roach:
[quote]Last night, Law Roach made it crystal clear that he’s in. He’s very in. The self-proclaimed “image architect”—known for styling celebrities like Zendaya, Céline Dion, and other A-listers—made his judging debut last night on Project Runway Season 21. And he did it with a splash.
[quote]Look, no one loves watching a designer cry, but there’s something undeniably compelling about Roach’s Simon Cowell-level candor: it’s clear, sharp, and filled with enough meanness to keep things entertaining.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | August 2, 2025 1:31 PM |
[quote]Project Runway panel calls out 'rude' contestant talking back to Heidi Klum at judging: 'Looked like a big loofah'
by Anonymous | reply 37 | August 2, 2025 1:34 PM |
The judges went out of his way to taunt him at the next challenge, making a point of telling him in front of everyone that his design was their least favourite, even though his team had won. The producers really want to pit him against his twin brother, hoping to get him to explode in the process.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | August 2, 2025 1:38 PM |
I don’t understand, when I see current photos of or interviews with Heidi, she looks normal, and like herself. But on this she looks really, really weird. Is it the lighting? Did she demand they run filters on her?
by Anonymous | reply 39 | August 2, 2025 1:51 PM |
Yeah, she for sure has riders in her new contract that cover both AI filters and extreme lighting. Some are speculating this is also the reason the judges are now to the right of the runway for the first time – because Heidi prefers the left side of her face to be seen on camera.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | August 2, 2025 2:00 PM |
She also seems to not want to be there very much—she just seems “off” in these first couple of episodes. Maybe It took her some time to get back in the swing of things. Probably doesn’t help that she doesn’t have Tim back, or that she has to sit next to that Law Roach thing.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | August 2, 2025 2:05 PM |
I agree, she was off the whole time – I caught her glancing to the side at the producers or zoning out while she listened to their instructions in her earpiece, while Nina and Roach were cackling together. She's clearly thrown off by either this new judging panel or just coming back after such a long break.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | August 2, 2025 2:11 PM |
Heidi Ho sure has that processed look when the camera is directly on her during the fashion show compared to Nina and La' Roach. She has no facial features at all - someone up thread mentioned AI - is this what we have to look forward to in the future? No wrinkles, pores or lines only makes one look more phony. She's 52 and looks good (because she can afford to) but not realistic at all.
All the contestants are Ugo - not a nice looking one in the bunch. And the workroom bitchiness is tiring although Miss Christian does add a bit of humor.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | August 2, 2025 2:24 PM |
Christian and Nina are the only likeable people on this show.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | August 2, 2025 2:27 PM |
[quote]is this what we have to look forward to in the future? No wrinkles, pores or lines only makes one look more phony
Yep, it's slowly made its way to TV from apps like TikTok. Reddit is constantly making fun of Aniston for looking inhuman on The Morning Show thanks to maxxed out AI filters.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | August 2, 2025 2:28 PM |
After watching the first two episodes I can see why they didn't bring Tim back. This PR is so mean spirited there's no room for warmth and compassion. Law, unlike Kors, is nasty without being funny or human. He's unlikable. Heidi is a robot. But Nina is still Nina. The whole thing is a bore but at least the episodes are shorter.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | August 2, 2025 2:28 PM |
What I hate about people like Law Roach is they lack humility. You can be good at what you do and still be humble. He’s just mean for the sake of being mean. Sooner or later he’ll burn some important bridge that’ll knock him down a few pegs.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | August 2, 2025 2:35 PM |
Michael Kors is supposed to be back for an episode as a judge. I want to see him wipe the floor with Law.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | August 2, 2025 2:37 PM |
I want to see what kind of work Kors has had done since he was last on the show.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | August 2, 2025 2:43 PM |
So, this Roach man? is being vicious& mean for his social media platform. Hopefully, Nina will destroy him, better yet Michael Kors.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | August 2, 2025 3:12 PM |
In Nina's photo in R11-Miss Thang has "resting Bitch face" down to an art form.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | August 2, 2025 3:16 PM |
I'm sorry I have to ask, what is Heidi wearing in the photo in R10. Shouldn't Nina or that roach cunt cut it off?
Did Heidi have a mirror available or is she doing a designer a favor?
by Anonymous | reply 52 | August 2, 2025 3:22 PM |
Mm I don’t think she sounded unhinged R14. She’s dealt with some abuses of power in reality tv world and she’s pissed and feels taken advantage of. I get it, it happens all the time in the entertainment world. And the streaming world is rapidly changing. She was around one of the creepiest assholes to exist, and is now not getting paid after making two seasons of the show, and it sounds like she’s had trouble capitalizing on her tv fame. Not many are capable of dealing with what happens after. She got eaten by the machine and is furious. Unfortunately for her, she’ll get little to nothing from this screed and will be labeled as “difficult.”
by Anonymous | reply 53 | August 2, 2025 3:27 PM |
To R44-You posted that Nina was "likeable", is the world going to end?
Miss Garcia better sharpen her claws& start attacking the roach.
Then the roach will claim racism on social media!!
by Anonymous | reply 54 | August 2, 2025 3:43 PM |
Some people just ARE difficult, not everything is a MeToo situation where a woman is being discredited after not opening her legs to an exec. Besides, reality TV revolves around difficult people like Kenley and the twins. It's why they're kept on the show for as long as they are and then asked to return.
by Anonymous | reply 55 | August 2, 2025 3:44 PM |
R54. No. I said Nina was still Nina. I didn't say she was likable. She's a cunt but a cunt who at least knows what she's talking about. She hasn't changed.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | August 2, 2025 4:18 PM |
The 2nd challenge was fun! Hey-Suz won and her sister was pissed he wasn't on the winning team. Girl, get over it!
What's with Heidi Ho's Mammary glands all hangin' out like a couple of Cow Udders! At her age, she can't be nursing - maybe it's menopause.

That athleisure challenge was pretty bad. Not one outfit you could actually work out in. And who wants to wear stinky gym clothes on a night out. Like, you’re going to work out, shower, then put your stinky athleisure wear back on to go out for dinner and drinks?

I am enjoying it so far.
by Anonymous | reply 62 | August 2, 2025 5:58 PM |
I thought both of Joseph McRae's outfits looked ridiculous on that plus sized gal. Did the designers choose their models or was it done randomly or what?
It seems like they are really trying to make this iteration of the show into Drag Race. And where do they keep finding these sets of mentally unstable twins?
by Anonymous | reply 63 | August 2, 2025 6:49 PM |
The Tall One - Rapunzel (long Mohawk ponytail) thinks she's a star but the tide will turn and she will be out Toot Sweet pending the next design challenge. This show sucks worse than 10,000 hungry leeches but I love it!
I'm hoping one (or both!) of Heidi Ho's udders flops out when she flounces out in one of those outlandish runway frocks that leaves nothing to the imagination! She still has ' the look' but you can't hold back time and gravity and those girls of hers are itching to make their big debut before it all comes crashing down!

Maybe (s)he's trying to become the next 'Christopher Lowell' of bedding and is using PR to peddle his sleepwear attire. OTOH, it could catch on and be all the rage at those upscale slumber parties hosted by former 'D' list celebs! I'm lookin' at YOU - Kathy Griffin!
by Anonymous | reply 68 | August 2, 2025 10:00 PM |
Miss McRae should have gone home in the first episode, the outfit was atrocious, but then then wouldn't have had the drama of sending someone home first in two different seasons. Interesting that Miss McRae made basically the same design that wound up in the bottom the first episode, then in the top the next.
Law was a cunt just to be a cunt, at least Michael Kors was witty with his bitchiness.
by Anonymous | reply 69 | August 3, 2025 12:25 AM |
Having Liris as your model is the "kiss of death."
As usual, the designers with the larger models always end up with the worst designs. And the ones with the stick thin models win.

I really hate Ethan.
That cunt is so full of himself. And I think he's hideously ugly.
I'm happy that Jesus won this last challenge, and shut Ethan the fuck up.
It'll be interesting to see who they choose to be on their teams on the next episode. I'm guessing it might look exactly the same as it is now.
Ethan should keep his boring ass team. They're all a bunch of idiots.
The only one on that team that I like, is Angelo. I find him very attractive. I love that he's so quiet and reserved. And basically the only designer who doesn't make my ears bleed. He also looks like he's probably hung like a horse.
This season seems to be particularly toxic and hateful. It really casts gay people in a bad light, especially because they are just so nasty to each other.
I don't expect them to be best friends, but these mean queens seem like they are literally ready to scratch each other's eyes out. It's very off-putting.
And that Lurch-like creature named Ethan, is leading the pack.

R14 I love her. Call out these hypocritical hoes. Make them pay.
by Anonymous | reply 72 | August 3, 2025 11:07 AM |
I like Ethan too. They always get gays who act like bitchy howler monkeys who make a bunch of basic crap and then go all Faye Dunaway when they get told their stuff sucks. I’d be embarrassed to go on a show like this and make a big deal about how everyone should say my name. I hate that they play up the drama.

Ethan and one of the twins (I forget which, don't care) ganging up on trans foreigner Veejay in the first episode already was not a good look in our current climate, surprised it hasn't gotten more reaction on Reddit. When the twin called her "that thing over there" to Christian I gasped, only to then realise he said "Miss Thing." Phew!
On the other hand, he also went after Yuchen for no reason, so I guess he's just nasty. He bitched about Joan in the confessionals, too.

It's very telling that Angelo is that poster's fave – the quiet, unassuming one who was pretty much absent from the first episode because he's so bland. Listen, I'd prefer to date that type as well, but they don't exactly make for good TV.

by Anonymous | reply 80 | August 3, 2025 3:28 PM |
This format is so smarmy, especially with acidic queen Law Roach (although I did like him telling Ethan, “you only cared about yourself and didn’t give a shit about anyone else on your team”). Even the captions under someone’s name (glad she’s not in the bottom”) are mean.
I give those twins credit for being the most insufferable contestants I have ever seen on a reality show.
Cristian is the only redeeming component.

Miss Joan is an odd casting choice.
She's 60 years old, while everyone else is in their 20s and 30s.
Second oldest was blonde Casee, who got sent home first. She is 44. And yes, that was a really cruel move. She didn't deserve to get sent home.
The philippino trans is 39! That's an old bitch! Third oldest in the cast.
After that, everyone is between 29 and 35. Not much range there.
Angelo is 35. Ugly Ethan and the greedy guy from koorea are both 29.
I would like to have seen more people in their early 20s, as well as more in their 40s and 50s.

And for context, my friend is very handsome, preppy-ish and straight-acting (though gay).

I guarantee you, he is not sitting well with viewers. Project Runway needs to dump him. NOW.

by Anonymous | reply 104 | August 8, 2025 3:11 PM |
R104, since the show has abandoned the idea of producing real fashion in favor of manufactured conflict, team challenges will continue, since they are the chief source of battles and hard feelings.

Angelo needs to go home. If I hear one more "I need this for my kid" I'm going to scream. Having said that, his veiny forearms are incredible.
Ethan's "design" was shockingly bad. That denim was so tortured, I could almost hear the garment screaming in pain. This wouldn't even be a showstopper on Drag Race, yet you want to pass it off as one on Project Runway? And he genuinely thought he was cooking too, which was the most incredible part. Roach was in the right for getting pissed off, that whole collection was offensively ugly. How difficult is just to make something tacky for a B-lister infamous for her tackiness?
The way they forced the poor editors to not show a single one of the bottom three in next episode's preview was cruel. Just show us the damn elimination, no one's going to tune in next week because of this suspense alone.
by Anonymous | reply 106 | August 8, 2025 6:03 PM |
No one knows who Law Roach is? Good lord is the PR fandom less gay? Have you not seen Legendary on HBO Max. BALLROOM darling. Law is one the highest paid stylists in LA and yes he created Zendeya's look. She was his first big client and he had remained loyal to her. He knows his shit and yes he is a bitch. Also he was a judge on Drag Race last season....
by Anonymous | reply 107 | August 8, 2025 6:08 PM |
I guess Roscoe's is doing these viewing parties for as long as Utica is competing.
She says the producers later told them that Vergara might wear the winning design, but that it wasn't the focus of the challenge. Heidi on GMA (wearing Belania's design) apparently said the same thing, i.e. that Vergara wanted to opt out if she found all of the designs ugly. So it was a bit weird to judge them on something that was supposed to be incidental to the main challenge.

Ethan was my early favorite but wtf was that mess he chose to walk down the runway? I think he may stay but that was crap. NOT A FAN of having to wait until next week to see who walks out of the competition. People will stop watching for bullshit like that.

I think they made a mistake focusing so much on Ethan. Annoying and apparently a shitty designer.
by Anonymous | reply 112 | August 8, 2025 11:10 PM |
How can they not focus on him, he's so LOUD and now also in drag. I laughed when the other designers interrupted his little entrance speech and he had to redo it. Guess this is just what happens when you cast a drag queen.

It’s annoying to have to wait for the next episode to find out who gets the old “auf wiedersehen” from Heidi.
by Anonymous | reply 114 | August 8, 2025 11:18 PM |
On Season One, PR was nominated for an Emmy and Heidi was supposed to wear a Dress made by Jay, the winner. They worked on it together and then Heidi went radio slient. She then called Jay and said she was not going to wear it on the Emmys. It was funny; Jay watched the Emmys from his sad apartment with the dress draped across the chair.

Heidi wore a creation from contestant Belania to a GMA appearance this week.

r116 So she's just spoiling away future episodes now? Or did Belania design that outside the show?
by Anonymous | reply 119 | August 8, 2025 11:56 PM |
R119, it was some PR/GMA couture challenge among the contestants to design a dress for her. Belania, Ethan and Jesus participated. Belania won the challenge, and Heidi wore the dress at R116 to her GMA appearance this week.
by Anonymous | reply 120 | August 9, 2025 12:09 AM |
Law hasn’t seen Belania’s look before? He’s never seen Gaultier?
by Anonymous | reply 121 | August 9, 2025 12:45 AM |
To R117-You're absolutely fucking correct!!
Jay telling Wendy "This isn't Fashion Survivor"& Wendy giving Jay the "Hold my Beer Bitch" look this is how you win!!
Kara Saun getting her "custom made shoes" made& then allowed to use them at the final runway. Her clothes flopped because everyone saw them already in the Aviator movie with the ripoff Gucci clothes-belt.
In the Entertainment tonight challenge, Nancy O'Dell told the panel that of all the dresses, she liked Wendy's dress because she's photographed from the waist up& she could tweak it. Plus, she liked the color, then Nina made that face. She said Austin's was perfect for the Oscars but not the Emmys & she didn't like Kara Saun's dress.
by Anonymous | reply 122 | August 9, 2025 1:30 AM |
Honestly, Ethan should go. What the fuck was that outfit? Really, he just makes drag outfits. The old lady’s dress looked like a car wash. I was waiting for Heidi to say that. I think they’ll turf Alejandro though.

R122. And crazy model MORGAN!!!!! Now I have to rewatch season one again because I'm feeling nostalgic for Austin's dazzling cornhusk dress. Back when the designers were truly inventive.

by Anonymous | reply 125 | August 9, 2025 1:57 AM |
R122, two slight corrections. Kara did use the shoes but the judges weren't allowed to consider them in the judging. And her Grammy outfit wasn't a dress but a shift over pants. If it had been a dress it might have been better. Tim accurately noted that the proportions were off because the top was slim and the pants were wide.

The Tall One with the Mohawk ponytail is extremely unpleasant looking and is even more frightening with all those closeups. That black drag outfit (s)he wore was horrible so I guess if the look fits the wearer, then it was a success.
The one with the Leaning Tower of Pisa hair seems talented and has a good attitude - she may be the dark horse of the competition.
Finally, did Sofia Vergara have a lip transplant? They're so big she could blow a whole football team all at once and not even smear her lip gloss. The girl is endless in her talents as an entertainer.

I truly don't know which was worse – Angelo's pointy hips (when was that ever fashionable?!), Joan's shredded garbage fringe, or Ethan's delusion until the very end that his outfit would "stop the show".
So in a way, I understand the judges' dilemma. But if you take previous challenges into account, it's hands down Angelo's time to go home.

[quote]Season 21 of Project Runway is lucky that celebrity stylist and image architect Law Roach is no longer semi-retired, because every competition series' judges' panel needs a villain.
[quote]He speaks with an authority that has been earned, and while other judges are free to play it safe with banal observations, Roach doesn't let the competing designers off the hook. Instead, he speaks to them as other fashion professionals seeking perfection at every moment would, without mercy. If that makes the stylist Project Runway's villain this season, so be it.

Very much this. I could see the Nina replacement judge this week getting annoyed when he kept finishing her sentences. Same for Vergara, whose face then turned to stone when he brought up (of course) Zendaya. You *never* bring up a higher-level celeb when you have a celeb on as a guest judge, that's just basic courtesy.

by Anonymous | reply 165 | August 10, 2025 4:20 PM |
The show has been truncated from 90 minutes, so there is no time for design development, especially since Disney has chosen conflict over fashion. No reason to watch unless you are a fan of the "Women behaving badly" type programming.
by Anonymous | reply 166 | August 10, 2025 4:23 PM |
Aside from his generally foul attitude, Roach doesn’t offer substantive or constructive criticism.
“I hated it”, “It’s ugly”, “I’m pissed off” offer nothing of value the designers can use to improve their looks.
Even when he likes something, he can’t critique it properly; “You shut me up”, “No notes”. Yes, there should be notes. As a judge, he should be able to articulate exactly how a designer’s vision was executed such that they produced a successful look. This is as important to a designer as explaining how a look failed.
Maybe his judging will improve over the season, but so far he comes off as a phony and a hack.

In the past—because I’m sure this shit happened all the time—were designers were too intimidated to call it out? Maybe because Ethan works in another field he’s not.

Zac tried too hard to imitate Kors at first but he came off as mean and condescending. Later he stuck to actual criticism and was more tolerable. Apparently Tim disliked him but Zac was responsible for getting a closer look at the outfits. He was going up to the models off camera to see them, since with the terrible tv lighting, the judges can’t see them clearly any more than the viewers at home.

I loved seeing Ugly Ethan get his comeuppance!!
That creature really thought he was untouchable. Turns out, he made one of the UGLIEST designs so far this season.
The minute it walked across the runway, I knew it was in the bottom. Badly designed, badly constructed, and horribly ill-fitting.
Oh, and now I know why Ethan does drag. To hide his hideous face and personality, while screaming for attention. Look at meeeeeee!!!!!
Ugly Ethan should go home. It was his team, ALL his concept, and ALL his decision. The blame falls squarely on ETHAN.
However, I already know how this is going to play out.
Joan will get the blame because she's old. She spoke up and said she didn't like the design she was given. Ethan shouted her down. But the judges will say, well then that's your fault. When in reality, Ethan basically gave her no choice.
This show is so predictable.
The older contestants are always disposable, and the toxic loud mouths always stay until the end.
Ugh.

Kenley is still ranting on her Instagram. She’s got a point, twenty seasons are streaming endlessly and the designers don’t get a penny. It was always rotten that they’d do an outfit for Heidi’s lingerie line or someone’s bathing suit line or to be sold at Macy’s etc etc and all the designer took home was the glory of winning.
Anyway, she says Chris March was the one who came up with the idea for the drag version of Project Runway, talked the producers into it, he lined up all the drag queens and then they took it away from him and gave it to RuPaul.
She also said PR “supported” Christian after he won. Not just the usual prize stuff but extra support that no other winner got. He’s always said it was his Payless Shoe deal and how he was willing to “go low” in order to get the money to do bigger things.

by Anonymous | reply 195 | August 13, 2025 7:26 AM |
Kenley kind of needs to stfu about some aspects of PR. More designers have probably benefitted from it than not. How many would have gotten the exposure otherwise? I’m sure they all think they’re the next biggest thing in fashion, but reality would say otherwise. Very few designers reach any sort of fame, and it’s fleeting. Fashion has always been about the next thing, and so you need to be able to do more than just make nice clothes. But if you can, then PR probably helps you find a wider market if nothing else. We wouldn’t even know who Kenley is if not for PR.

Tonight (or tomorrow when most people will watch it) the Unconventional Materials challenge. Another gimmick to prevent us from seeing what individual designers can do.
by Anonymous | reply 208 | August 14, 2025 12:07 PM |
I actually like the unconventional materials challenge.
by Anonymous | reply 210 | August 14, 2025 7:53 PM |
I just wish it came a couple episodes later. I want to see a clearly defined challenge that doesn’t involve teams or weird restrictions.
btw, Yuchen and Veejay are doing recaps on YouTube (the latest one gives away who’s going home tonight but it’s no surprise) I don’t remember contestants doing video recaps before (but then I didn’t seek them out. Now I’m basically hate watching so I don’t care). Have the NDAs been relaxed? There are some interesting behind the scenes details but there’s also a lot of stuff that can be fast-forwarded through. They are laughing and having a good time together though and they don’t diss any of the other designers although they are critical of some outfits (and show photos thank god).
by Anonymous | reply 211 | August 14, 2025 11:38 PM |
VeeJay. Does he know his name sounds like a vaginas? I know he's Filippina so maybe it's a cultural thing. But still.

This show is a mess. They keep changing the rules.
by Anonymous | reply 213 | August 15, 2025 4:53 AM |
[quote]One fan argued that these tweaks make the show feel like a shell of its former self. "Every episode feels like a trailer," they wrote. "No thanks."

This cliffhanger-style elimination bullshit is for the birds. Whose idea was it to have to wait to see who's shown the door? It's stupid. Did Heidi call in sick for this episode? Did the actual runway get flooded or something? The runway in the workroom? WHAT is going on with this show? I like Yuchen, but that soccer ball outfit was not hot. Imagine if he had one of those PLUS sized models.
by Anonymous | reply 216 | August 15, 2025 12:47 PM |
Having the Survivor type elimination only reinforces the fact that the results are not about fashion, but by establishing cliques and voting for friends or against perceived rivals. It's pure crap, as the show is this year.
by Anonymous | reply 217 | August 15, 2025 2:01 PM |
Yeah, I knew who they’d auf who they did.
by Anonymous | reply 218 | August 15, 2025 2:05 PM |
How did this monstrous abortion not get eliminated?
by Anonymous | reply 219 | August 15, 2025 2:47 PM |
Right? ^
And then this new episode the set up this dramatic cliffhanger involving the twins. Never mind Law putting people on the bottom for how they styled a look. “It was one of my favorite looks, but gurrrrllll, those boots from the Belk wall!?”
by Anonymous | reply 220 | August 15, 2025 3:30 PM |
He's a " stylist," not a designer. That's what you get when you only have one judge. You'd think they could have hired a real designer if Nina and Heidi ( who also knows nothing about designing) were going to be MIA. Maybe, everyone with any credibility knew what a shitshow this program had become, so they begged off. Years ago, they used to have credible guest designers.
by Anonymous | reply 221 | August 15, 2025 3:56 PM |
I'm glad Antonio didn't fake hug Ethan after he got eliminated. I liked Antonio and he knows who should have gone home.
by Anonymous | reply 222 | August 15, 2025 5:47 PM |
Delaying the elimination is the only way the producers can hope to get the viewers to turn into the next episode. Meanwhile, they hope there will be serious "water cooler discussion" about who should get eliminated.
by Anonymous | reply 223 | August 15, 2025 7:39 PM |
Having only one judge and the runway show in the workroom feels so low budget and phoned in...and then forcing the designers to auf someone themselves, without any warning? This is one big HOT TRANNY MESS, as Christian used to say!

Law said 'i have no idea which designer is responsible for which garment' a few too many times which leads me to believe he did know and he targeted one of the twins. I don't think they'll send Joan home because she's nice and not a threat. Bye JosephMACRAE.

by Anonymous | reply 232 | August 15, 2025 10:13 PM |
Heidi in the promos has frequently mentioned how they’re CHANGING EVERYTHING UP and yet everyone’s first reaction to only one judge and the runway in the workroom is: Who canceled at the last minute? Did Nina quit because the show is trash now? In addition to: The judges are sitting on the wrong side! Lol.
It’s already being spoiled re elimination…or maybe the producers are encouraging leaks now, trying to drum up enthusiasm.
by Anonymous | reply 233 | August 15, 2025 10:23 PM |
" They're changing everything up." Like presenting drama in lieu of fashion, letting contestants vote off one another, cutting the show down to essentially 40 minutes, and alienating the people who hold the show's fate in their hands? Great changes, Heidi. What hasn't changed, however, is the fact that ( just proven by what you wear, Ms. Klum) you have no concept of fashion nor any self- awareness.

Okay Ethan has said that the group refused to vote anyone off (isn’t that the judges job?) and the production crew stood over them, like threatening.
Assholes.
Creative twists at Reddit. The next challenge is apparently a companion piece to the crap they made this week. (Smart designers would ignore that and make something better). So someone speculated that due to the weird runway and one judge that this isn’t really finished and that Yuchen will be teamed up with the loser and the rest in teams of two and they have to make this companion piece and -then- it will be a full on runway with three judges and the actors from Abbot Elementary. Something like that.

If Ethan wasn't sent home for that abortion ( Someone on the panel said it looked like a baby was crowning), then all bets are off. It has been a trend in recent years to present shit in the name of fashion and call it " modern." Shame on Nina for endorsing this charade; she knows better.

Before I saw where they were all going with the materials, I said I'd cut out "tiles" from the red balls and make a dress. The one twin did that and looked great. The other twin made a hot mess (worse than Utica's last week as far as I'm concerned). I don't understand the hate for Utica/Ethan. We're about halfway through and she's done some of the best stuff...except for last week.

by Anonymous | reply 250 | August 16, 2025 3:15 AM |
Sorry if these are spoilers so be warned
The butterfly dress was stunning but did the hairdresser do the headpiece? That seemed unfair. Ditto Utica “finding” butterfly’s which apparently happened off camera.
The crying at the end. Oh my Gid. And Law is funny to me but he judged them on their styling which was not part of the challenge.
The captions make me laugh because they are demonic. The formula is setting it up for more conflict since we know who is going. At least it’s creative.
by Anonymous | reply 251 | August 16, 2025 4:11 AM |
Someone in Heidi's immediate family must have died, or she needed an emergency boobjob. There's no other explanation for what we got in this episode. A fashion show in the workroom, judged by a single person who is a stylist? No.
And the results were entirely predictable when you have that setup – an unwearable garment that only someone like Gaga could pull off on a red carpet won, and someone landed in the bottom solely because of their styling choices, despite the judge liking their design. I bet Christian was cringing inside. I also don't understand what was so wrong about those denim shoes that triggered Roach so much. Yeah, they were ugly, but the blue complemented the pink perfectly.
Having said all that, I love the drama of the designers voting each other off. Which I suppose is exactly why they chose this twist.
by Anonymous | reply 252 | August 16, 2025 4:27 AM |
Christian was phoning it in when he was walking around the workroom. "Oh, no! Will you ever finish in time?"
by Anonymous | reply 253 | August 16, 2025 5:21 AM |
True, but he couldn't ride their ass as hard in a UM challenge, he knows how difficult those are already without someone smartassing to you about how basic your design is.

by Anonymous | reply 256 | August 16, 2025 6:43 AM |
Christian is kind of terrible on this. He doesn’t have the appeal or camera ability of Tim. Heidi seems underpowered, depressed, and dimmed. She’s clearly nonplussed by not having Tim there, like she’s unprotected from the producers. The producers seem totally at sea. The magic is really gone at this point.
by Anonymous | reply 257 | August 16, 2025 12:59 PM |
This show is a slog - at least Christian adds a bit of humor/spice during the workroom escapades although he seems a bit bored in general.
La' Roach adds nothing and the workroom 'runway' was a cop out. Have Heidi Ho, Nina and the 'other one' bailed on this Titanic of a design show?
Not sure how many total episodes for season 21 but until the tall one with the two bag face is gone, I won't be tuning in.
by Anonymous | reply 258 | August 16, 2025 1:28 PM |
In past years, Yuchen would have been on the bottom for doing what he did. While it was a “look”, it wasn’t unconventional materials made to look conventional. He cut up soccer balls and stuck them on his model, making her like an extra from Barbarella. There was zero creativity.
by Anonymous | reply 259 | August 16, 2025 1:41 PM |
Law is such a petty bitch - putting someone in the bottom even though he liked the dress, but because of the boots? Yeah the boots were ugly, but it's not Project Stylist. Do we even see them talking about the styling this season? Maybe there's nothing better to select from the Temu Accessories Wall or whatever they have now.
And then they don't even explain why there are no other judges? How are you supposed to take this competition seriously when everything is so half assed?
by Anonymous | reply 260 | August 16, 2025 1:42 PM |
Producers think that they have hit the jackpot with the selection of Law to be the modern Kors, because he checks all the boxes - controversial, petty, black, gay, celebrity connected. But, there are significant differences: Kors was a designer, Law is not; Law seems to criticize in order to satisfy his need to feel important, Kors didn't need that attention; Kors was funny, Law is definitely not.

Do you remember (regular) Project Runway when the judges were introduced after Heidi’s canned little speech? It was an exhausted drone “hi Nina” or just “hiiiiii”. I swear they used the same clip every time because it always sounded the same.

Yes, they've dispatched with all that superfluous shit now, as well as with the deliberations where the judges would repeat what we just heard minutes ago when they were saying the exact same things to the designers. I enjoy this sharper format, personally.

The only positive thing I can say about this show now, is that Jenna Lyons should be a full time judge on Project Runway.
She's serious about the actual fashion, and her comments are thoughtful and insightful.
Even more so than Nina Garcia, who is just phoning it in at this point.
by Anonymous | reply 276 | August 22, 2025 2:25 PM |
Yeah, Jenna Lyons was awesome. Confidence backed up with knowledge and experience. Everyone is praising her.
Ethan revealed that Heidi called in sick the previous day, hence the workroom runway. She was actually spotted doing a photoshoot that day, so she obviously lied. And because Heidi wasn't there, Nina said she wasn't coming in either. The producers then made the designers vote each other out because they weren't comfortable with a single-judge elimination. The designers rebelled, but the producers intimidated them into doing it in the end.
Whoever wrote "Miss Jone" is ESL, so that was either Yuchen, Veejay, or Jesus.
Joseph is delusional, he really thought they were voting him out because they were threatened by him? He probably thought this was Drag Race, what with his endless facial mugging and quips. Gurl, less attitude and more talent, please.
Heidi is fully back now, she was all smiles and laughs this episode. Good for her, but she has terrible, terrible taste. And I don't give a shit what your has-been husband likes, dear.

The way Veejay kept repeating the word "challenge" so many times close together almost led to that phenomenon where the word loses all meaning. "You two should take it as a challenge to challenge yourself to work separately for this challenge." Her accent is crazy. Seriously, rewatch the scene at the start where the twins are glaring at her across the table for daring to propose they work separately.
The way Roach shot down Nina when she suggested Belania had great personal style... oof! And this was during the deliberation segment, which I thought we lost for good this season.

[quote]“Drag is also performance, costumes,” the Season 4 winner tells Parade in an exclusive interview. “It’s not real fashion that customers would buy, if you want to create a real fashion brand. "
[quote]What about the guest judges? Anyone stand out to you in particular? Actually having Tyra as a judge. I don’t think Tyra has ever been a guest judge. I’m pretty sure she hasn’t. And having Tyra and Heidi together was amazing because they’re the old school Victoria’s Secret Angels. And also to have her, who also judged a show for so long. So that was amazing to watch. Her dynamic was crazy and so great. And I loved having Michael back. Michael hasn’t been a judge in a really long time, and I think it was awesome to have him back. It’s a good, good group. We have some comedians, and we have some really, really good designers, too. That is, I think, always really important to have for the designers. I like to hear judging from real designers. I know it’s not that exciting to the audience sometimes, but I think it’s important.

Not only that, but the winner won't be taken seriously.
When Ashley won, I think most people completely dismissed her because she was such a horrible designer. And it also erased any credibility that the judges had. But I also think that Ashley was just one of many designers who didn't deserve to win.
I can only think of two designers who actually made a name for themselves in the fashion world: Christian Siriano and Michael Costello.
[quote] Can't have an all-woman panel for the season, although, what they have now certainly indicates that they do.
Not only that, but they're three women in their 50s.
As much as I love Nina and Jenna, I think the show would be criticized for not having a youthful perspective on the judging panel.
I think that's why Law Roach is there. He's a stylist for a lot of hot, young actresses, so I think that he has some credibility in the fashion world, as far as having a "modern" point of view, and knowing current fashion trends.

What's with La' Roache and the oversized 'menswear' he was sporting this episode? Has (s)he been downing Ozepic shakes to reduce his/her girth or is the shrunken look now the latest fashion trend?
The one who was snippy with La' Roache deserved a pass since the model she was working with was sick.
The tall ugly one is really scary looking - they need to limit the close-ups on that gargoyle. I bet she sleeps in her drag regalia too!
This episode stunk - that one with the Heidi braids (not Hieidi Ho in the black Hefty wrap) is going home. Her outfit was horrible - the one who made the black dress w/the red accent down the back was very nice. They all liked that one - even the guest judge who was dressed like a man. Was Ms. Roache trying to out drag her or is the show turning into Drag Kings - The Sewing Room Knows All.
Only 25 more episodes and it's O-V-E-R!

[quote] Law Roach Has Some Advice for Young Designers
Law Roach called up our senior editor Taylore Scarabelli ahead of the premiere of OMG Fashion, a new E! competition series in which the image architect co-stars opposite the actor and muse Julia Fox, to discuss sustainability, The Met Gala, and judging young designers.
———
SCARABELLI: Did you have any favorite fashion shows growing up?
ROACH: Well, for me, fashion meant John Galliano at Dior. The fantasy and the worlds that he was able to create was what made me start to dream about even having a career in fashion. Still, to this day, I’m completely enamored with the quality and the level of imagination and workmanship that he put out throughout his career.
SCARABELLI: And that juxtaposed with the presentation of that work, which really was a performance, and made fashion fun in a way that it maybe hadn’t been before.
ROACH: Yeah, it was so fantastical. And I think we saw that again with this last show he did for Margiela, that became infamous for the makeup, and just the overall storytelling. He is one of the greatest, if not the greatest, designers of our generation.
SCARABELLI: Mm-hmm. And that, I guess brings me back to the show, and what you’re looking for when you’re critiquing these young designers. Because obviously they are working within a lot of parameters in terms of material, in terms of time. It’s a tongue-in-cheek show, but it’s also serious. You really give the contestants the time of day.
ROACH: I look at it the same way that I’ve looked at clothes throughout my entire career. I think clothes have the power to invoke some sort of emotion. I want to feel something, I want to be transported somewhere, or think about, “Oh wow, that would’ve been great on this client or that client,” or, “I can see this girl wearing it to this event.” So I’m always just looking for that one thing that makes me feel something, but done in a way that’s sustainable and accessible.
SCARABELLI: What advice would you give to someone trying to start their own brand?
ROACH: I think authenticity—and I know that’s a word that’s just thrown around so much—but you have to be authentic to who you are as a designer, and what your point of view is. You may not have the clients yet, but you need to know the girl that you’re designing for, and when you do that, they’ll find you. I think right now, people are falling victim to what’s trendy and what’s commercially successful for a certain brand or designer, but success comes, critically and commercially, when you are able to be authentic and to stay true to who you are.
SCARABELLI: Mm-hmm. Are there any young designers that you’re particularly interested in that are on the come-up?
ROACH: I get asked that all the time, and it’s such a hard question to answer because there’s so many. On Instagram, I have so many young brands saved, and to be quite honest, I don’t even know why I’m doing it anymore. Since my retirement, I’m not working and searching for clothes in the same way that I did before, but I save so many just because I want to follow the trajectory of their career. I want to see where those clothes land, and I have my predictions. I’m just like, “Oh, that’d be so great on Doja Cat,” or, “This would be great on Hailey Bieber.” Will their stylist find this brand or find this young designer? It’s kind of like fantasy football.
SCARABELLI: I was just going to say, it’s fashion sports.
ROACH: Yeah, yeah, yeah. I’m trying to figure out a way to create another sort of platform, ’cause I’m not going to be using these clothes on all the clients I used to have. But I’d like to use my profile to highlight these emerging designers, because sometimes they just need eyes on them. I’m like, “Okay, that can very well be the next Galliano, or the next Marc Jacobs, or the next Carolina Herrera,” or whoever. The talent is there. Sometimes they just need an extra push.

Law Roach didn't come from any lineage within the fashion industry.
"Unfortunately, I didn't really have the opportunity to study under anyone or be mentored. There was never a time when anybody took me under their wing, but I've always had that 'speak it into existence, fake it till you make it' mentality."
That mindset has, in the span of a decade, seen the stylist and judge build a multimillion-dollar global business with a portfolio of clients that has included Zendaya, Kerry Washington, Celine Dion, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Mary J. Blige, Ariana Grande, Priyanka Chopra, and more. And it's seen him start a bloodline all his own.
Back in 2011 Roach had his own vintage shop. After studying psychology at Chicago State University, he returned to a love cultivated by his grandmother: junking, the process of scouring garage sales and thrift stores to find gems.
He opened Deliciously Vintage, and a Kanye West appearance put the venue on the style map. But sales weren't paying the bills.
Roach would run his store during the week. He told those in the fashion industry he was a New York City "local" and would often fly into Manhattan to do projects like music videos for K. Michelle.
"And then I would go back to Chicago and get behind the bar on the weekend and that's what supported me," he admits. "Back then I was taking care of my little brother who I had custody of and the bartending fed us."
Then a job came working with Zendaya, to style her for the Justin Bieber: Never Say Never premiere. It kicked off an exhaustive six months of running the shop and bartending in Chicago, styling K. Michelle in NYC, and building a relationship with Zendaya in L.A.
A woman who had become somewhat of an aunt to Roach sat him down and told him, "You're never going to win the game if you're not in the stadium." The decision was made: He closed the shop, quit bartending, and relocated to a friend's couch in L.A.
"I love to see people who look like me doing things and unfortunately, with the career that I have, there was no example of people who looked like me doing that when I first started." Roach says of his beginnings in celebrity styling. "The only thing that I had as a picture of what I wanted to be was Rachel Zoe."
It was the power that Zoe was wielding, and the checks she was reportedly cashing, that were seductive. "I wanted that. And when I started, I didn't see anybody who looked like me doing it."
His client list expanded: Monica, Brandy, Tamar Braxton, and more. In 2014, La La Anthony was his first client to go to the Met Gala. In 2015, he styled almost a dozen people for the BET Awards. The money was flowing, which was a departure for someone who sometimes had to sleep on piles of clothes instead of a bed.
A turning point came when Roach approached a large agency for representation. "They said my book wasn't strong enough." It wasn't the styling that was an issue. The problem was the type of clients: He had become the in-demand stylist for R&B singers.
"The only thing I was caring about was the bottom line and I was making a lot of money," he says. "But what I started to understand was the trajectory. Back then, you could get pigeonholed in the industry. You could be known for a certain thing and it'll put you in a box."
So he signed on for white actress Willow Shields, then promoting The Hunger Games. That change initially meant taking a sizable pay cut.
"It was painful for me to make the decision that I wasn't going to do any more Black girls," he explains. Shields turned to Ruby Rose and Jessie J during her "Bang Bang" period, which led to Hathaway, Grande, and Dion. He became the sole Black celebrity stylist consistently dressing A-list white names, something that's only recently changed.
"When I think about that decision, it always hurts me that I felt like I had to turn my back on my culture and the people that were important to me to have the career that I have now," he says. "But I feel like if I hadn't made that decision, I don't think I would have had the same career in the same time."

I thought it was GREAT that designer size 20 to 14 stood up for herself. Those judges were holding her to a standard to which production doesn't adhere. That resizing request was ridiculous & unfair. There were lots of buttons being pushed just to create conflict. This whole season feels a little Filene's Basement. Cheap & wannabe.

R298. I think she's a very talented designer but her garments still stunk. Sometimes even the most talented designers can have a bad challenge. The other girl is going home. She's pretty much given up anyway.

OMG, that girl. With her sad, flouncy tacked on chiffon like feathers. She had the best shot of anyone reinterpreting her unconventional dress & blew it. SEND HER HOME!!!
by Anonymous | reply 300 | August 23, 2025 2:44 PM |
Yeah, sad Jane Eyre will be auf’d. But Belina’s dress really was indefensible. And I found it a bit cringey when she was explaining that she chose that stretchy ugly fabric because she was going to have a fatter model. So you were going to make your fatter model look like a fatter flamenco dancer? All her model was missing was a side ponytail.

[quote]I can only think of two designers who actually made a name for themselves in the fashion world: Christian Siriano and Michael Costello.
Don't forget Emilio Sosa:
[quote]Catching the eye of director Spike Lee, Emilio became his in-house stylist, working on national and international ad campaigns, before setting his sight on Broadway, where he was mentored by director George C. Wolfe, for whom he designed his first Broadway show, TOPDOG / UNDERDOG. His other Broadway credits include, ON YOUR FEET! The Emilio and Gloria Estefan Story, MOTOWN: The Musical, PORGY AND BESS (TONY Award nom) and LADY DAY at EMERSON’S BAR AND GRILL. He shares the unique distinction of being the first designer of color to design The Radio City Music Hall Spring Spectacular and a new permanent number for the legendary Christmas Show, both starring The Rockettes.
[quote]He has received both Tony Award and Drama Desk Award nominations and has been the recipient a Lucille Lortell Award, NAACP Theatre Awards, and LA Ovation Award.

Utica is clearly walking away with this. Why even bother with the competition? It’s basically an RPDR meet and greet for her. Christian sucks, I hate to say it. Law is the only one with a personality but he’s a cunt. Heidi is completely phoning it in. Nina may as well be dead she’s so bored. The show is totally ruined and is a barely a shadow of itself.

Madeline is the worst R307. Just get rid of her. They could have gotten rid of all the bottom three this week and it wouldn’t have mattered one iota.

Heidi and Nina just seem so defeated. Nina was Top Dog while Heidi was gone but now has to take a backseat to her, and Heidi might dress tacky, but she’s smart enough to know this new version of PR is a total dog.

I totally agree.
She's a very unique designer, and I think she would have fared well in the early seasons of Project Runway.
Unfortunately for her, the show has become a lesser version of Drag Race, with ugly Uticunt the primary focus of attention.
This season is completely awful.

I agree with r316. I can't recall specific designers now because this shit's been going on since 2004, but this design aesthetic has definitely been featured on the show before many times. It's a niche, but definitely not something you would want to mass produce. I could see Florence Welch and various country singers wanting to wear her designs, though.

Yeah! Mad-lane's presentations are not new, fresh, young, street, ready-to-wear enough. She needs to go back down to the hollar from she whence came. Don't all those plow boys need their overalls mended and britches patched from all that sittin' and spittin'?

She's a transplant from down in the Hollar with all the plow boys, moonshine runners and toothless milk maids playin' patty cake in the barn and swingin' from the old tractor tire hangin' from the old oak tree where Momma n Daddy first tied that big ole knot that gave Mad-lane that twinkle in her eye. She only has one good eye since the cow they used for plowin' kicked Maddy in the face when she was changin' the harness on old Bessie.

I'm about 99% positive that Joan is going home, even though Yuchen should be the one leaving.
His shredded jacket looked stupid.
Then again, Joan's look was serving PIMP.
So either one of them would deserve getting auf'ed, to be honest.
As for the winner, I think Antonio's look was the best. Belania's looked cheap.
Truthfully, I didn't see the "streetwear" in any of the designs. All the outfits looked tacky.
As for "taste." I have to laugh at the judges.
I mean, Christian Cowan is dating Sam Smith. ENOUGH SAID.
Take one look at this photo of the judges, and you'll see what a joke it is, when the three on the left are criticizing others about their "taste."
Joan Smalls is the only one who had any taste on that judging panel.

Christian Cowan + Sam Smith
Make it make sense!!!!
by Anonymous | reply 364 | August 29, 2025 7:37 AM |
I had no idea Miss Joan was that delusional, holy shit. Christian told her it wasn't streetwear, the other designers told her it wasn't streetwear, her friggin' model told her it wasn't streetwear. And she's still gooped when the judges tell her exactly that. She needs to go home for that alone.
So Christian Cowan is responsible for working DL superfave Sam Smith's buss, huh? I did not like his large veneers at all. And someone needs to introduce him to the joys of chapstick because he had the driest lips in the history of this show. Also, his wheat neck tat looks like a smudge.
Did you notice how Roach is always cracking jokes with the judges to his right, while Heidi looks comically out of the loop?
"It's very London, it's very New York." Why do they bring in models as judges again? They're just human wire hangers, I don't give a shit what they have to say about fashion.
by Anonymous | reply 365 | August 29, 2025 1:56 PM |
Judges: one 'designer' plus a former model and a stylist. Law is more interested in the designers attitudes rather than their talent. How was Veejay not in the top. I think Miss Joan's time is up.

Remember when they used to dedicate a whole segment of the show to driving (or ferrying!) the designers to a special place where they could get inspired for a challenge? They literally just plopped them on the street outside their filming location for this streetwear challenge. Veejay looked like a tramp, sitting on a curb like that.
Roach isn't a drama magnet, he's a drama generator. Came after Belania this week for her story about the design, not even the design itself. Does he want to turn this into a Real Housewives-type of show or something?

What a GREAT episode! Heidi Ho was looking especially voluminous with that 'Hammock' dress she wore at the beginning and her jowls seemed extra wide depending on the camera angle. She has long since passed her runway era sleekness.
The tall, ugly one - what was with all the belts, suspenders and bungee cords - looked trashy and uncomfortable. Stop with all the close-ups of Urethra - she is just too scary and acts like some kind of prima donna.
I like Belania and her outfit was deserving of the win. Her personal style is unique and flattering to her.
Ping Pong - the shredded jacket was trashy. She is a goner - maybe.
Not sure how many episodes remain, but this excuse for a 'fashion show' is running on extremely low fumes.
Ms. Christian - what's with all the leather straight jackets - a different one in each sequence! She's the cutest pocket gay ever!
Ms. La' Roach has no fashion knowledge at all - does she walk around on the street looking like that!
The assortment of judges was fun - the tall white boy was cute!

Immediately topped by him telling Yuchen he wanted to beat him up. And then saying people crying made him feel powerful. This, after Yuchen revealing he was beaten growing up.
by Anonymous | reply 389 | August 30, 2025 12:42 PM |
Somehow I don't think being beaten up by Law Roach is nearly as scary as he wants you to believe it is.
by Anonymous | reply 390 | August 30, 2025 1:42 PM |
^^who is Miss Roach kidding^^^ What!! Is his ironed fake hair going to kill you?
by Anonymous | reply 391 | August 30, 2025 1:49 PM |
I hope a straight frau doesn't win again. It's the reason I stopped watching. Got sick of them always giving the win to the breeders. It smelled of homophobia.

Joan was dressing RuPaul dressed as Cookie from Empire
by Anonymous | reply 394 | August 30, 2025 6:08 PM |
I like Joan, but she has no future as a designer at her age and talent level. She can work as a tailor, but that's it for her.
by Anonymous | reply 395 | August 30, 2025 6:32 PM |
You can tell from Joan’s aesthetic that she’s stuck in the 90s. That outfit was made for En Vogue.
by Anonymous | reply 396 | August 30, 2025 6:55 PM |
Joan's outfit looked like something Patti LaBelle would wear.
by Anonymous | reply 397 | August 30, 2025 9:55 PM |
I get it, it's difficult for an older person, all these younger people around you constantly telling you what you're doing wrong. Then again, don't sign up for a competition, you just keep doing you if you love being true to yourself so much and hate any and all feedback. Ain't nobody stopping you.
by Anonymous | reply 398 | August 30, 2025 10:40 PM |
Reddit is going gaga over Ethan's dress, but all I could think seeing it come down the runway was how you'd put that on and how you'd wash it. Completely impractical, runway-only garment.
by Anonymous | reply 399 | August 30, 2025 10:42 PM |
Yes, r399, runway looks are universally practical and washable. This is what designers strive for.
by Anonymous | reply 400 | August 30, 2025 10:58 PM |
Yes, they are actually striving for that. This wasn't an avantgarde challenge and I assume they'll want to produce wearable designs with the prize money.
You should probably give more thought to your clapbacks in the future, so you don't embarrass yourself. Free advice, which you can take or leave. I don't care either way, you're on my ignore list now anyway.
by Anonymous | reply 401 | August 30, 2025 11:02 PM |
It’s not unusual for there to be the occasional confrontation between a judge and a contestant in the bottom, but the Law/Belania one was bizarre in that she was the winner, and she had Law’s favorite look.
I wasn’t immediately turned off by his style as some viewers were, but his insistence that he knows what the contestants are thinking and that they must meet his high standards for a positive attitude are growing tiresome. He must be even more exhausting in person.
by Anonymous | reply 402 | August 30, 2025 11:09 PM |
It’s not that Ethan’s look was runway only, it wasn’t street wear.
by Anonymous | reply 403 | August 30, 2025 11:12 PM |
r403 I mean if you live on Folsom Street...
by Anonymous | reply 404 | August 30, 2025 11:16 PM |
Maybe Folsom, but it was something you’d make for Gaga to wear to the Grammys.
by Anonymous | reply 405 | August 30, 2025 11:35 PM |
I read long ago that they wait until filming is finished and the winner chosen before they start editing the show into episodes. I just wonder if the producers anticipated how unpopular Law Roach would become. Most of the longtime PR fans, initially excited, dislike his combative critiques which are more about the personality than the clothes. But new viewers who followed Ethan and him over from RPDR love the drama.
by Anonymous | reply 406 | August 31, 2025 3:39 AM |
R402, he's made it clear he expects to be praised and practically worshipped for deigning to improve the future of design through judging. Delusional.
by Anonymous | reply 407 | August 31, 2025 4:11 AM |
I'm inspired by Audrey Hepburn!
No, you're not!
by Anonymous | reply 408 | August 31, 2025 5:35 AM |
R408 - how can you say that when Miss Hepburn wore all those iconic African head wraps?
by Anonymous | reply 409 | August 31, 2025 1:36 PM |
R401, these are runway looks, not clothing lines. No one's judging them by how well they hold up in a washing machine. But since you're too much of a delicate flower to have a conversation, you won't be receiving this "free advice."
by Anonymous | reply 410 | August 31, 2025 5:03 PM |
Law majored in psychology and was a bartender and shop owner? Did he suppress his cuntiness then and now just lets it fly? Such an odd choice for a personality.
by Anonymous | reply 411 | August 31, 2025 5:18 PM |
I feel pretty certain the production team is well aware of Law's cuntiness and is 100% behind it.
by Anonymous | reply 412 | August 31, 2025 8:35 PM |
That's probably true, but that makes criticizing his role on the show even more relevant. Taking offense at Belania's inspiration this week and telling her what she should have been thinking is so far the height of his arrogance, but I'm guessing he'll top that before the season is over.

Damn I just found out Wendy Pepper died
by Anonymous | reply 414 | September 1, 2025 2:06 AM |
in 2017.
by Anonymous | reply 415 | September 1, 2025 3:07 AM |
Yeah and I just found out
by Anonymous | reply 416 | September 1, 2025 3:13 AM |
It really wasn't publicized much, because few people would care, since she was the first villain. Here's a nice article about her.
by Anonymous | reply 417 | September 1, 2025 3:42 AM |
Who would choose the name Wendy Pepper? As a designer? Yikes.
by Anonymous | reply 418 | September 1, 2025 4:01 AM |
My problem with Law isn't that he's bitchy and mean. It's that his bitchiness and meanness doesn't seem to be about the fashion. At best it's about styling. At worst it's personal.
Further, he can't take what he dishes out. He's a total cunt, but then gets upset when a contestant is a cunt back to him? Fuck that.

100 W/Ws to R419
by Anonymous | reply 420 | September 1, 2025 7:42 AM |
WHET Nina. MIA this week and next week. Did she just give up?
by Anonymous | reply 421 | September 5, 2025 3:07 AM |
Booby horns!!!!
by Anonymous | reply 422 | September 5, 2025 1:38 PM |
He needs to go home for that monstrosity, but he won't.
by Anonymous | reply 423 | September 5, 2025 2:05 PM |
No, R422, horny horns!!
by Anonymous | reply 424 | September 5, 2025 2:06 PM |
Haven't watched the latest episode - is the tall, UGLY one still there? I want to shield my eyes from the horror of Urethra - TIA.
by Anonymous | reply 425 | September 5, 2025 2:19 PM |
Yuchon has got to go home. I predict both twins will be in the final three.
by Anonymous | reply 426 | September 5, 2025 4:18 PM |
They will definitely send him home...Veejay provides more drama. And his dress was horrific. I do feel bad for the guy since he clearly has no points of reference with country music or style.
by Anonymous | reply 427 | September 5, 2025 6:01 PM |
It really looks like final three will be Ethan, Belania and Jesus.
by Anonymous | reply 428 | September 5, 2025 6:38 PM |
I’d take the horny dress over the red carwash dress any day. Also, I hate Veejay. she reminds me of a mean girl at my former job who made my life hell.
by Anonymous | reply 430 | September 6, 2025 6:37 AM |
I liked having Zac back, and enjoyed his feedback.
Yuchen will cut.
by Anonymous | reply 431 | September 6, 2025 6:38 AM |
I’d love for Veejay to go, if for no other reason than she’s so fucking jealous of the twins. And was so full of delusion over what she made.
by Anonymous | reply 432 | September 6, 2025 12:32 PM |
For all the focus on drama, I feel like they are ending up with mid level designers.
by Anonymous | reply 433 | September 6, 2025 3:00 PM |
Poor Joan - I liked her and she have a very positive vibe and her success will continue with expert tailoring and associated skills.
Escutcheon (what kind of name is that?) was way too weepy when Joan got the hook.
When Heidi Ho got up and walked over to Joan to say Goodbye - the back of whatever she was wearing (a backpack sleeping bag?) looked horrible. Does she not look at her backside when selecting a look.
Alas, the UGLY one is still in the running. I haven't watched the entire episode yet but this Western Themed challenge seems a bit overdone and Christian was nearly tripping over all that excessively long fringe on her jacket. The horse in the studio bit was a hoot - looks like Christian needs some stool training!
Ta for now!
by Anonymous | reply 434 | September 6, 2025 5:05 PM |
I don’t think there’s been a single wow moment this season or even a single outfit that I was thinking, this is really good and it should win.
by Anonymous | reply 435 | September 6, 2025 5:18 PM |
So Zac is now queen bee at the Gap and Old Navy? That seems so low rent.
by Anonymous | reply 436 | September 6, 2025 5:25 PM |
Does anyone else want to have a hate-fuck three-way and docking sessions with the twins?
by Anonymous | reply 437 | September 6, 2025 6:34 PM |
Not I. I find them repellent.
by Anonymous | reply 438 | September 6, 2025 6:39 PM |
Ethan looks like he smells.
by Anonymous | reply 439 | September 6, 2025 7:49 PM |
R439 - he DOES! I can smell whatever it is (s)he smells like through my TV! It must be because I get this real nauseating smell every time (s)he's on the screen.
She is a mess.
I hope Christian didn't injure himself when he stumbled down off that horse at the beginning of the episode. You'd think someone with her pixie-like stature would at least have some experience with stools, especially when brushing her teeth and putting on her custom made portable scalp.
Then again, maybe she got a glimpse of the horses 'secret garden' and apparatus which caused her to loose her composure.
Oh well, on with the show I say.
by Anonymous | reply 440 | September 6, 2025 8:18 PM |
Did no one else find it weird when the twins kissed each other on the lips?
Super cringy.
by Anonymous | reply 441 | September 6, 2025 8:26 PM |
I think there is definitely some twincest going on with them.
by Anonymous | reply 442 | September 6, 2025 8:29 PM |
