This “new” War of the Worlds movie is TERRIBLE

I know I'll get roasted but I really liked the Tammy C version.

It was like Signs but better. Both leads are nuts but Mel is odious, Tom is just crazy.

I like the Tom C version, too.

I lasted 16 minutes with this new version. What a load of crap.

I too liked Cruise's version. That first act was a killer-diller.

I was going to watch it until I checked the film’s IMDB rating which is 3.5. The reviews are brutal.

Cruise's "War of the Worlds" started very strong, was good for 2/3 of its running time and ended with a preposterous whimper.

I love how Hollywood always has female scientists played by hot chicks with big tits. IRL female scientists look like Linda Hunt.

Although I’m not a Tammy fan, I did like the movie. She tends to overact. And I hated that stupid little girl Rachel character. Such a brat.

im watching it now, I hadn't seen they had remade this ("AGAIN?" , i thought). The opening was so slow with the stupid backstory and I grew annoyed at the constant use of the monitors. Then I read that it was a narrative device called screenlife. Still not a fan.

The action does pick up in the last 20 mins for so. But I can see why the reviews are less than stellar.

I can't wait to see the Cinema Sins take on this!

Agreed, R2. I thought the Cruise version was great.
