R9 Federal judges can be impeached, but they typically have to commit a serious crime first. It's only happened a handful of times in the past century, and usually because of bribery or tax chicanery that the IRS busted wide open.

Remember - there is the House's impeachment then there is the Senate's determination of guilty/not guilty. It's the second part that is extremely difficult to pull off because while it only takes a simple majority vote for the House to impeach, it takes two thirds vote of the Senate to "convict". In today's world, neither party ever approaches that kind of majority, so it's basically impossible to remove people from office without a good chunk of the minority party going along with it.

Now the party is a parade of ghouls who revel in their grotesquerie and off-puttingness: Bove, Miller, Vance, Greene, etc. Part of Trump's appeal, of course, is that everything about his persona grosses decent people out—"triggers the libs," as they say.
