He and his wife had some damn good genes.

Yep, R3.
Those two were a hoot and a half, especially Carole.
They looked like people I'd have loved to hang out with.

This is awful! What happened?

They were close friends of mine.
Both were wonderful, generous people who raised millions for the fight against HIV/AIDS.
Nice folks who rarely had a bad thing to say about anyone (Mickey Rooney and Gary Morton were exceptions) .

So we have our 3. Julian, Malcom, and him.

R6, what did they say about Mickey and Gary Morton?
by Anonymous | reply 8 | July 22, 2025 5:21 PM |
I didn't know he was married to Carole Cook. Loved her.

R8 Nothing you wouldn’t already expect.
Carole and Lucy were good friends (Carole lived in her Roxbury guest house for a while). Once Gary was on the scene, he excommunicated all her old friends, was controlling as hell, gave her lousy career advice and was an overall asshole.
Mickey was the single most miserable mean SOBs they’d ever met…and his late in life religious conversion was a joke.

Lost me r11. What should it be? HE? Sounds as awkward as HIM.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | July 22, 2025 6:25 PM |
r12 No. It should be M-A-L-C-O-L-M, because that was his name. (Actually it was Malcolm-Jamal, but you knew that too.)

Oops. Okay. Thanks. I didn't even notice.
