If anyone thinks taking in this form of yellow journalism will help salve your predilection for enacting your inner suburbanite conservative Karen cunt, either go find a grease fire to leap into, or better yet - go grab a knife from the kitchen and slit your wrists and bleed out on the floor. For the sake of the rest of us stuck living in this world.

You think Uganda’s bad? I can think of a country that is committing mass murder against civilians right now, and cruelly torturing them with starvation, all because that country wants to steal their land.
Any criticisms from you? 🤔
by Anonymous | reply 25 | July 21, 2025 12:54 AM |

R21 California did not impose travel bans on many countries that kill gays. It is all performative signaling to state that white people are bad. Zoharan is a rich brown muslim man, and whatever he does is excused. Under the rules of Democrats, only whites, Jews, and rich or talented asians need to be censured and exterminated.

No, which is why none of the hysteria, fearmongering, and the multiple active DL threads on this guy make no sense. When have we ever seen the mayor of New York on the international stage commenting on policy or the affairs of other countries? That's why we have a Secretary of State, albeit an extremely piss-poor one at the moment.

Where do democrats call for or sanction extermination of whites, Jews or “rich or talented Asians,” whatever that means?
On the other hand, we see violence and killing from rightwingers constantly. We see rightwingers circle the wagons around genocide perpetrator Israel.

Israelis are the terrorists, and you’re one too for supporting them. Last time I checked, thr Palestinians didn’t descend on Eastern European Jewish villages, seize them, killing many Jews in the process, putting the surviving Jews under occupation, and then committing genocide against them too.
That was you and it went the other way round.

R60 That is a false equivalency. Always saying MAGA will do this and that. If so, are they doing it now in Red states? Dont go around saying false things. Poll after poll show that the vast majority support sharia and the other noxious aspects of islam, including vicious anti-semitism and animosity towards gays. The history of islam, continuing to today with the slaughter of Christians and Druze in Syria and Christians in Africa, says it all.

Is the "throwing gays off of roofs" troll a bot? It reads like it's programmed to spit out the same information repetitively. It also stupidly assumes everyone on the thread knows nothing about Islamic countries, and repeatedly makes the huge leap that every single Muslim on earth, without exception, thinks and acts exactly the same as an authoritarian regime in the middle east.
Real life bigots usually read the room and change tactics, try different points, but this one is on and on about "throwing gays off of roofs" like they're really saying something profound and if we would just listen we'd be educated. Can a real person really be this naive?

As a gay man, I've been to Uganda several times for work. Kampala is a beautiful city, nestled on seven hills (like Rome). The weather is mild, and the city has some great hotels and restaurants. The people are friendly. While I never did anything overtly gay there (like cruising), I never experienced any problems, and my co-workers certainly knew that I was gay.

Punishments for same-sex sexual acts vary across the four main Sunni schools of Islamic jurisprudence and Shia law:
Hanafi: Often recommend discretionary punishment (ta'zir) rather than a fixed one.
Maliki and Hanbali: Sometimes prescribe the death penalty for male-male intercourse.
Shafi'i: May prescribe stoning for men, especially if married.
Shia (Ja'fari): Some interpretations call for capital punishment for penetrative acts between men, often requiring multiple witnesses.
Lesbianism is also prohibited but typically treated less harshly in classical law—usually punished with flogging or ta'zir.

r94 - I fucking LOVE you. Thank you for combatting these racist, Islamophobic, xenophobic assholes with dismissive humor. It's exactly the right medicine.
I'm an openly gay brown man in my early 40s, of Indian origin. I have lived in and traveled to multiple parts of the world. I'll tell you this, some of the warmest, most hospitable places I have ever been are Muslim majority countries.
You know which country had the snobbiest, rudest, most racist and, at times, most homophobic people I have encountered? I'll give you one guess... it's the one that some of the bootlickers on this thread will constantly remind us is the, quote, "only democracy in the Middle East." In Tel Aviv, I had restaurants tell me they "don't serve non-Jews." In Jerusalem, I had shop owners literally spit at the ground and hiss "no Arabs!" when I tried to enter their shops (I guess they assume enough melanin = Arab, not that I think they'd like South Asians any more.) And my treatment was mild by comparison of what any religious or ethnic minorities who live there encounter. You couldn't pay me to visit that shitcan country again.

[quote] Why just this weekend I was at a rooftop restaurant in Beverly Hills, and Shohreh Agdashloo at the next table asked her waiter if he was gay... and when he said yes, she threw him right off the roof!
I was dating an incredibly hot Bangladeshi guy last year.
The whole time he was begging for my cock, I knew it was because he was trying to maneuver me across the railing.

R107, it's not sincere. Muslims hate gay people, women, non-believers, etc.

He’s from Uganda.
You can just as easily fault someone for honeymooning in the fascist US

So do Christians. What’s your point?

The Democrats are panicking. Don't know how to handle Socialists like Hamdani and Ocasio-Cortez getting control of young voters who have been lured by promises of Free buses, Rent Freezes and $30 a hour for menial jobs, which Zohran and Alexandria have no way to happen. Sadly, Centerist Democrats are clueless on challenging them.

Rent freezes are certainly possible with rent controlled apartments.
And all New Yorkers want faster buses. (If you think the bus thing is about $, you’ve never lived in NY)

He's from Uganda? Then why run for mayor of NYC and not Kampala?

Schwartzenegger is from Austria. Why was he governor of California and not South Tyrol?

Most people are sick of “We Dems are the moderate party!”
Turns out moderate means don’t do anything effective.
We want progressives to push us into a future where all workers win, not just the uber wealthy

R116 is a communist. What work do you do? retail?

What an odd place to honeymoon at, yes?
I haven’t made up my mind about this dude, but let’s face it: he makes REALLY off the wall choices.
Is there a safari in Uganda, or something? I’m just not getting it.

R118 This guy is not serious about gay rights. None of them is. It is all about performance to keep the votes coming so that they can gain power and implement communism.

R119, the current administration is the ABSOLUTE closest to true communism, that I’ve ever witnessed in our country.
The above stated, the man is quite performative. Even his wedding photos give him the appearance of being “fake” AF, and I do suspect he’s on the downlow.
No decent heterosexual takes their wife that they’re madly in love with, to fucking Uganda for their honeymoon.
I’m assuming and hoping they hired a security team.
That’s not a place I’d choose to expose my beloved to. Why? When there are dozens upon dozens of places that are safer, and waaay nicer to visit.
I’m not being a snob. Traveling is no longer what it was in the 1960s and 1970s, where one could get on a motorcycle and travel across places like Afghanistan, or Iran. Both countries have absolutely GORGEOUS landscapes, but I sure AF wouldn’t take my spouse there for a fucking honeymoon.
This guy’s just weird, & I’m still struggling with the bullshit he said about a global intifada.
I didn’t appreciate that, & I do wonder if he’s been placed in this situation, in order to hurt the Democratic Party.
Same and smart people just do NOT run around saying shit like that. I wholeheartedly disagree with what Netanyahu is doing, but I don’t want a global intifada. No sane person does, so I’m very skeptical about this man’s true intentions.

Born in Uganda, lived his first 5 years there, still has family there. Information available in a 5-second internet search. Why are you being so wilfully stupid?
Lots of South Asians from Uganda. (sadly Idi Amin chased many of them out.) And - get this - some people are actually born in places that aren't the United States.
Crazy, huh?

Communists want to be the uber wealthy, you retard.

He looks so fun- can he take over for Stephen Colbert?
by Anonymous | reply 123 | July 24, 2025 6:00 AM |
OK, R121, you get the win, & I was not aware of his birthplace, hence didn’t research why he took his wife there.
I’m not willfully stupid, regardless of where he took his wife for the honeymoon.
I have other concerns about him that are absolutely valid. While I like some of his ideas, I’m interested in how exactly he will implement his ideas, in one of the most old school city government establishments in the entire country: NYC.
Hr needs to pick one thing, the easiest thing to accomplish, stick to it, & go from there. If he makes the mistake of going all in on everything, all at once, he’ll spend all of his time fighting everyone & everything all at once, & in a place like NYC? We both know that what I state is correct.
Succeeding at one of his initiatives would be a huge success, & he should focus on whatever is the most viable of his ideas.
