Throwback on an interesting moment at 2006 National book festival gala!

The author Sharon Draper was presenting her book Copper Sun on the stage. When she approached the end of the storyline excerpt where a man won the bid of an African girl for his son’s 16th birthday, the camera turned towards Bush, Laura and Condi. Condi looked miserable. Bush was solemn. Oddly Laura started to smile as soon as the author finished. The camera captured all of those. Did Laura pick that book for her book festival?
