Which was totally fucking shitty.
I know they thought they were doing her a favor, but if it were me, I would feel HUMILIATED that this was put on display for the entire world to see.
I wouldn't feel like anyone was doing me a favor. I would actually feel very hurt by it. And I'm a GUY. Women are even more sensitive to this kind of thing.
Everything on social media always has to be turned into something so salacious and malicious. Like middle school or high school gossip going around the entire school, and everyone whispering and pointing fingers.
Trust me, the internet did his wife NO FAVORS by plastering this all over social media.

The lady smiling ear to ear is Alyssa Stoddard, recently promoted to VP of People by Kristin Cabot at @astronomerio . 🤯🤯🤯
Does anyone else know of a more toxic workplace?[/italic]
So apparently, the other people with them at the concert ALL KNEW he was cheating on his wife, and instead of downplaying it, they all stood there cheering for the "couple."
I agree with the poster that it must be a very toxic workplace, where this guy is cheating on his wife out in the open, and his co-workers are all perfectly fine with it.
And naturally, the bitch cheering on camera for the cheaters being caught, was recently promoted to Vice President by the cheating HR lady.
Gross.

The saddest part is that in most states infidelity does not impact the distribution of assets in a divorce. There may be some modest adjustment if marital assets were used to facilitate the divorce. But, you can be a cheating whore who never worked a day in your life and rob your husband of a huge portion of assets and get alimony.
It may, rarely, impact custody of children.
You'd think someone hurt me, but no. For some reason, I just find cheating and paternity fraud outrageous. You'd think I'm into MRA, but I also find those idiots gross, as well.
I just don't think lying and cheating should be rewarded.

The tech company run by a CEO exposed having an alleged affair with his head-of-HR mistress on a “kiss cam” at a Coldplay concert said Friday that it has launched an investigation into the embarrassing incident, suggesting the intimate relationship was unknown to the firm’s board.

Yes, affairs happen r149.
However, an affair between the CEO and the HR Head is a big problem, as HE is her REPORT-TO.
That's a NO-NO. What should have been done is the same thing that happened in a similar situation in the early 2000s at bank I worked for: reveal the affair and change the reporting structure. However, that's - AGAIN - a problem, since he's the CEO. The only person above him is the BOD, and they were "unaware."
So, yeah...it's a BIG problem now.

Having lived this, not-so 'clandestine' inter-office bonking in a reporting chain creates a myriad of problems for a company, the biggest being LOTS of employees are usually impacted negatively. Here, with the head of HR involved - which is supposed to be a safe place where people go to get their reporting chain issues remedied - the level of fuckery and hubris here is off the charts. I love that the Board seems to be committing to share publicly the details of the investigation.
There is no way either of them keeps their job.

HR used to be the Executive Secretary who had all of the personal records under lock and key, the person who came every twice a month and handed out paychecks in the 1st and 3rd Thursdays. Now it's elevated to the C-Suite, an executive, an office elevated to the highest ranks - yet slightly apart so as to have no significant role beyond being the face to greet the incoming and the person to escort you to your desk with a cardboard box for any personal effects at the end of your run. More than 78% of Chief People Officers or Chief HR Officers are women -- and the percentage grows wider at a time when women at the top positions are losing numbers.
HR is supposed to train staff in recognizing inappropriate behavior, relationships that can have the appearance of a conflict if interest, blah, blah, blah. It's a joke to.separate the drones from the decision-makers, and to do the bidding of the latter.
HR isn't half as hated as they should be. There.must be some fundamental instinct to believe that, at core, all people are good and have your best interests as their priority. After all they are People Officers!
I hope the who HR Up With People lot.lose their jobs.and their houses for having pulled the wool over so many eyes. What a fucking Joke they are.
Chief people officers remain one of the only C-suite roles that is dominated by women rather than men, the report found. Seventy-eight percent of new CHROs were women in 2019, and of all Fortune 200 CHROs, 67.3 percent were women, according to the report. This happened in the same time span in which the CEO role in the Fortune 200 saw a decline in female representation.

R153 Agree, but it shouldn't stop there. Neither of these two should work in a corporate C-suite ever again, especially that of any corporation funded by public investors. That doesn't mean they won't -- we seem to have returned to an era (temporarily, with any luck) where mediocre-to-downright-idiotic white people like these morons get opportunities they don't deserve. (See also: Most of current Trump admin and cabinet, specifically Trump, Vance, Hegseth, Noem, RFK Jr., Lutnick, and douchebag member emeritus/government-funded welfare queen Musk.)
Catastrophically bad judgment on both their parts. The good news is, with their cover being blown on such a massive public stage, there is zero chance that any future background check will miss this debacle.

This is why any time I have a conversation about business I highly encourage and talk up the benefits of using an outside service like Bambee. The selling point is it's a LOT cheaper and no office or huge salaries needed. But my secret reason is I want to see that profession die in the office. Kristin Cabot, the HR executive caught canoodling with Astronomer CEO Andy Byron at a Coldplay concert, appears to be married to the CEO of a different company — and bought a house with him less than five months before the scandal hit, The Post has learned.
Property records obtained by The Post show that the 52-year-old Cabot, whose maiden name is Stanek, has shared a Rye, New Hampshire address with Andrew Cabot — the chief executive of Privateer Rum, a Massachusetts-based booze maker — since at least 2023.
Privateer Rum’s website lists Andrew Cabot as its CEO and COO of the company. His bio says his “ancestor, the original Andrew Cabot (1750-1791), was a merchant, rum distiller and successful American privateer during the American Revolution.”
After being listed as co-residents at one address in Rye, Andrew and Kristin Cabot bought the two-story, four-bedroom New Englander-style house — located just minutes from the Atlantic coast — in February for $2.2 million, the records showed.
While Kristin and Andrew Cabot share a last name and appear to jointly own the home, The Post could not confirm immediately when or where their apparent marriage took place.
Kristin Cabot’s now-deleted LinkedIn account showed that she has served as an “advisory board member” at Privateer Rum since September 2020.
A photo purportedly showing Kristin and Andrew Cabot posing with two children has circulated on social media this week.
Andrew Cabot and Privateer Rum did not immediately return The Post’s requests for comment. Efforts to reach Kristin Cabot also were unsuccessful.
Astronomer, a New York-based software firm, confirmed Friday afternoon that it was investigating the concert incident.
“Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability,” the company said in a statement posted on LinkedIn.
“The Board of Directors has initiated a formal investigation into this matter and we will have additional details to share very shortly,” the company added.
As The Post previously reported, Kristin Cabot filed for divorce with her ex-husband Kenneth Thornby in 2018 and the split was finalized in 2022, according to Massachusetts court records.
Cabot and Byron went viral for trying to dodge the “kiss cam” at Gillette Stadium, which prompted Coldplay frontman Chris Martin to joke, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.”
Byron, meanwhile, appeared to be married to Megan Kerrigan Byron. She deleted his last name from her social media accounts before taking them offline entirely following a wave of comments from the public.
“Responsible for the vision and strategy, Andrew works closely with the team he assembled to produce one of the finest rums in in the world,” Privateer’s website says. “One simple question has focused Andrew throughout his career in technology, and time in public education and academia– “how can we do this better?”
Elsewhere, ad copy for the brand — whose high-end bottles can retail for upwards of $100 each — pitches its strict use of authentic ingredients and “Made in the USA” pedigree.
“One thing is certain,” one ad advises. “Privateer advocates transparency, honesty and purity.”

But - it's because of their positions within a company and that other employees were there.
Also there's a come-uppance that we all revel in because HR has screwed so many people over in so many companies and are such hypocrites.

R285 - no - I think it's particularly egregious as SHE is supposed to enforce the rules of the company. She's not been there 8 months and she's already fucking her BOSS?
That takes a lot of gall. The first 6 months when I'm new to a company, I'm still learning the background and who's who and culture. I'm very careful of what I say and how I say it until I know everyone's personalities and see how they react in meetings and situations.
Not her - somehow she got to fucking REAL fast. Her boss - her MARRIED boss, while she was married.
They're both awful - but she's worse. Newly divorced, newly remarried, new employee at this company, in charge of HR - and within months, she's breaking the rules and fucking around with her boss and on her new husband. It's taking on a Puritan/Salem Witch Trials vibe that's kind of gross.
Were the rich dude and his company infamously pro-monogamy? Were they fundamentalist Christians who preached strict Bible teachings?
Where is the hypocrisy that deserves this kind of global viral scorn?
Maybe he and his wife — and she and her husband — had an arrangement. Maybe they were polyamorous. Maybe they all nailed each other in private. These situations among hets are more common than you'd think.
Maybe they didn't. So what? And here we are, getting off on their humiliation like sexless gossiping biddies at the church social.

NO, NO, and NO.

His wife did not have an "arrangement" which is why she has taken down her social media and anything related to his name. She's obtained a lawyer and probably filing for divorce as we speak.
This has nothing to do with what they do in private. When the boss is f-ink the director of HR, it makes it very difficult for other employees to get a fair chance at lodging a complaint about the boss or the company. You dont see the Hypocrisy of HR with this?

Corporate offices are ALL about hooking up with one’s boss or underling, & we all know it.
People who are in unhappy marriages go to work everyday, hoping to have some private time with their affair partner.
I’m not stating that I agree with cheating, because I don’t
That stated, this has been completely overblown.
BOTH of them should have been able to take some time off, reassess their personal relationships, make some tough decisions, & go back to work.

The new interim CEO of Astronomer released a statement addressing the drama surrounding the viral Coldplay concert kiss cam, which resulted in Andy Byron's resignation.
"Over the weekend, I stepped into the role of Interim CEO at Astronomer, a company that I’ve proudly poured my entire professional life into helping build," Pete DeJoy wrote in a statement shared by the company on Monday, July 21.
"Over the past few years, our business has experienced incredible growth. What was once a mission to help companies with Apache Airflow has turned into so much more," he continued, before going on to address the viral spotlight the company found themselves under over the past week.
"The events of the past few days have received a level of media attention that few companies—let alone startups in our small corner of the data and AI world—ever encounter," he continued without going into additional specifics. "The spotlight has been unusual and surreal for our team and, while I would never have wished for it to happen like this, Astronomer is now a household name."
In his new statement, titled "Moving Forward at Astronomer," DeJoy stressed that the company has "never shied away from challenges."
"From starting a software company in Cincinnati, Ohio, to keeping the lights on through the collapse of the bank that held all our cash, to scaling from 30 to 300 people during a global pandemic that demanded we do it all without ever being in the same room. And yet, we’re still here," he wrote.
"I’m stepping into this role with a wholehearted commitment to taking care of our people and delivering for our customers. Astronomer’s foundation remains strong, built around the thriving Apache Airflow community. Our opportunity to build a DataOps platform for the age of AI remains massive. And our story is very much still being written," he continued. "To our team: thank you for your resilience & commitment to building something great. And to our community and customers: thank you for your trust. We won’t let you down."

Despite all the balls in the air that I'm juggling, I'll make room for one more HR meeting to fire this person.
No need to thank me - I'll leave on a high....note. It's my pleasure.

They clearly didn’t have any PR firm when this broke, and stupidly did not engage a crisis firm to clean up the aftermath. They are not earning back the confidence of current and future investors. I am sure the investors they do have are looking for ways to get out.
Experts Reveal If Astronomer CEO Can Sue Coldplay Amid Resignation As HR 'Mistress' Keeps Her Job
Days after Andy Byron resigned from his role as Astronomer CEO, lawyers have now weighed in on whether he could bring claims against Coldplay.
The attorneys have now claimed that Andy Byron has no legal grounds for a lawsuit against the band while also citing reasons why such a step is unlikely.
Despite Andy Byron's life being upended by his kiss cam incident at Coldplay's concert, legal experts have claimed that he can't take the legal path even if he wants to.
Ron Zambrano of the Los Angeles-based West Coast Employment Lawyers told The U.S. Mirror that "any legal claims from Byron would be dead on arrival."
He pointed out that the former CEO has "no grounds to sue," as any legal claim would likely be dismissed as a "restriction on creative speech and Coldplay's ability to be artistic during their performances."
The attorney further emphasized that both Byron and his company's Head of HR, Kristin Cabot, voluntarily attended the public concert.
As a result, being filmed while cosying up to each other did not constitute a legal violation, since they had effectively "waived their right to privacy" by being in a public setting.
"Their public display of affection is on them, not on Coldplay," he added. "They just got caught."
Civil and entertainment lawyer Tre Lovell also echoed Zambrano's sentiments, with particular mention of Byron having no right to privacy when in public.
"CEO Andy Byron has no legal recourse against Coldplay for putting him on the big screen," he told the outlet. "When you are out in public, you have no right to privacy for your actions."
Lovell added that anyone can be filmed or photographed in public without it breaking any laws. He then explained that legal recourse would only be possible if such footage were used for commercial purposes or to spread a false or defamatory narrative.
"What people cannot do is use the video or photographs to violate your right to publicity in terms of using your image for commercial purposes or defame you and depict you in a manner that is false or untruthful."
Lovell added, "The fact that the big screen caught the CEO doing something embarrassing or immoral in public is on him."
In the wake of the kiss cam incident, Astronomer released a statement revealing that Byron had resigned from his position as CEO.
"Andy Byron has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted," they added.
At the time, reports suggested that Byron negotiated an exit deal before stepping down, though the specifics remain unclear.
Sources claimed the board had the option to fire him but chose not to, likely out of respect for his role as a co-founder of the company.
They added that Byron's resignation was a smart financial move, as it ensured he wouldn't walk away empty-handed if he had fought to keep his role.
Unlike Byron, who is now no longer associated with Astronomer in an official capacity, Cabot, with whom he was caught at the concert, still remains a staff member.
She is currently on leave, likely until the controversy settles down or the company makes a final decision.
According to attorney Nicole Brenecki, terminating Cabot's employment is difficult for a number of reasons.
"In a real-world big company, you can't just fire someone because the headlines are ugly," she told the New York Post. "There are likely contracts, internal investigations, and legal issues involved."
Despite the complications behind the scenes, attorney Brenecki believes that Cabot could still lose her job when the investigations are completed.
"If HR greenlit what happened with Coldplay, and there is a supporting paper trail, heads will likely roll," the attorney stated.
She added, "It just might take a few more days before the ax drops."

That’s just in general. Venues and events that record people usually have legal notice on the ticket sale or at venue entry that state by entering or attending an event you agree that any video recorded of you may be used for commercial purposes. I’d be surprised if Coldplay didn’t have this legally covered since the Jumbotron is part of their performance. Also, the fact that they were having an affair is certainly not false.

I’m surprised he chose an age appropriate affair partner.

Maybe they *don't* fire her, and simply expect her to come back into the office once she's burned through her leave hours, so she can experience what it's like to walk into every meeting with the entire firm glaring, snickering, and eye-rolling at anything she says or does. People who *don't* screw their boss get "quiet-fired" (especially during restructurings, or if mgmt just wants to lean on certain people so they fire themselves and spare them the hassle/liabilities of termination)
To be irrelevant--sexually, professionally, socially--is hell to a woman like her. Give her all three.
HR Exec Who Was Seen Wrapped in CEO's Arms in Viral Coldplay Video Remains in Role as Company Moves Forward
While Astronomer CEO Andy Byron resigned over the weekend after he was seen wrapping his arms around one of his female executives at a concert, she appears to still be with the company as new leadership is vowing to move forward.
Kristin Cabot, Astronomer’s chief people officer, was caught in the now-infamous clip with Byron in the audience at a Coldplay show in Massachusetts last week.
Both Byron and Cabot are reportedly married; neither has spoken publicly about the nature of their relationship.
As of Wednesday, July 23, Cabot is still listed on the company website in her role as chief people officer, though Byron has been removed. (Efforts to reach her for comment have been unsuccessful.)
An Astronomer spokesman previously said that "no other employees were in the video."
In a press release in November announcing Cabot’s hiring at Astronomer, Byron was quoted as saying her “exceptional leadership and deep expertise in talent management, employee engagement, and scaling people strategies will be critical as we continue our rapid trajectory. She is a proven leader.”
In a statement after Byron stepped down titled "Moving Forward at Astronomer," his replacement, Pete DeJoy, acknowledged that “the events of the past few days have received a level of media attention that few companies—let alone startups in our small corner of the data and AI world—ever encounter."
All of the attention had been “unusual and surreal for our team,” DeJoy said, “and, while I would never have wished for it to happen like this, Astronomer is now a household name."
Privateer Rum CEO Andrew Cabot was on overseas work trip when his wife was embroiled in Coldplay ‘kiss cam’ scandal
Privateer Rum CEO Andrew Cabot was on an overseas business trip when his wife, Kristin Cabot, was caught canoodling at a Coldplay concert — and the couple’s relatives were likewise blindsided by the scandal, a source close to the situation told The Post.
The tipster said Andrew Cabot, founder of the Massachusetts-based, high-end liquor maker, had been on a work-related trip to Japan and returned to find himself and his family in the middle of a social media firestorm.
[Andrew] was in Asia for a few weeks and returned on Saturday, so he was gone while all this went down,” said the source, who requested anonymity to discuss the situation. “Poor guy.”
Multiple attempts to contact Andrew Cabot and Privateer Rum went unanswered. When The Post called Privateer Rum, the company’s voicemail box was full.
Kristin and Andrew Cabot married sometime after her previous divorce was finalized in 2022. The source said there had been little indication of any trouble in paradise before the Coldplay concert video went viral.
“The family is now saying they have been having marriage troubles for several months and were discussing separating — which I find interesting since as of a month ago they were saying how in love they are,” the source added.
The Post was first to report that Kristin Cabot, whose maiden name in Stanek, was married to Andrew Cabot and that the pair had purchased a $2.2 million mansion in Rye, New Hampshire, just five months before the scandal broke out.
The Cabots were seen smiling and wearing wedding rings alongside two young kids in a Facebook post from May 2024.
Andrew Cabot is a member of one of the oldest and wealthiest families in Boston. The Cabots are one of the original “Boston Brahmin” clans that controlled New England for centuries.
A bio on Privateer’s website says his “ancestor, the original Andrew Cabot (1750-1791), was a merchant, rum distiller and successful American privateer during the American Revolution.”
The brand — whose high-end bottles can retail for upward of $100 each — touts its strict use of authentic ingredients and “Made in the USA” pedigree.
“One thing is certain,” one ad advises. “Privateer advocates transparency, honesty and purity.”
Kristin Cabot’s now-deleted LinkedIn account showed that she has served as an “advisory board member” at Privateer Rum since September 2020.

Days after tech tech startup Astronomer announced the resignation of its married chief executive, Andy Byron, who was seen in a viral video with the head of human resources, Kristin Cabot, at the band’s performance at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass., the firm confirmed Thursday that Cabot is no longer employed by the company.
“Kristin Cabot is no longer with Astronomer,” a company spokesperson said in a statement. “She has resigned.”
