Every single one of them is dead.
It's so fucking wild to me that all of the Golden Girls are dead.

They were all over 50 ,in 1985, OP. People don’t live to 150 like tortoises.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | July 11, 2025 4:42 PM |
But I just saw them on TV last night! The show is on all the time. I think they’re still alive. What do you think, Dorothy?
by Anonymous | reply 2 | July 11, 2025 4:50 PM |
I think the show would have been better with Shelley Hack, Rose!
by Anonymous | reply 3 | July 11, 2025 4:53 PM |
The show was about old people.

Six Is Enough hits harder for me.

Even Stan, Miles, and Angela, and Angelo. Gone.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | July 11, 2025 5:06 PM |
Rue was only 51 when the show started, which seems mind blowing today. But then she was 39 when she started on Maude, playing someone who was at least 10 years older. Maude Findlay was supposed to be in her mid to late 40's, BTW.

I'm still here. And the Mortimer Club serves a great breakfast and the parking is free.

I can’t figure out if r9 is confused or I am

Dead as a doornail.

R3 I didn't know Fess Parker was in this picture.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | July 11, 2025 6:05 PM |
It's a show about old people from 40 years ago. The youngest of the 4 would be 91 today. Yeah, it's normal to miss people and things from the past, but "So fucking wild...?" Really?

[quote]Rue was only 51 when the show started, which seems mind blowing today.
Crazy how that was considered "older" back then.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | July 11, 2025 6:12 PM |
It's weirder that almost the entire cast of Night Court is dead.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | July 11, 2025 6:16 PM |
That is pretty weird r16 because they were all relatively young.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | July 11, 2025 6:20 PM |
I believe Marsha Warfield is the only regular cast member of Night Court who is still living.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | July 11, 2025 6:21 PM |
Yet John Astin has outlived them all.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | July 11, 2025 6:22 PM |
I'm not dead yet!
by Anonymous | reply 20 | July 11, 2025 6:22 PM |
Dead, dead, dead. Coffee? Muffin?

On GOLDEN GIRLS (1985-1992) Blanche, Dorothy, and Rose were supposed to be in their fifties and Sophia in her eighties during the show's run.
Thus, Rue (b. 1934) was the only one playing her actual age, whereas Bea (b. 1922) and Rose (b. 1922) were playing a decade younger and Estelle (b. 1923) two decades older.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | July 11, 2025 6:33 PM |
I meant Betty not Rose, of course.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | July 11, 2025 6:34 PM |
I find it more upsetting that every single cast member of Laverne & Shirley is dead save for Lenny. Yet nearly every single cast member of Happy Days (save for Howard and Joanie) is alive.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | July 11, 2025 6:34 PM |
I just remembered John Larroquette is still alive. So that's only two from Night Court.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | July 11, 2025 6:34 PM |
Who is getting the money from Golden Girls merch? I see it everywhere nowadays.

OP- breaking news – ALL of the characters from I Love Lucy are dead for 36 years. And I’m not counting little Ricky. He was not much more than a prop.
