From “his” social media, below. I feel bad for anybody who works hard and saves money and finds themselves in a bad situation. But these whores who flaunt their carefree lifestyles, but need a friend loan for a car repair of under $3000… Spend less time whoring around for Pennie’s and more time working two or three paying (but unsexy) jobs.
“ In April 2024, the dreaded engine light came in our 2015 Cadillac SRX. We got the code read at Auto Zone and found out we needed a new fuel pump and there was an EV leak (emissions)- something that would not stop the car from running, but would prevent us from passing California's SMOG check, required to renew registration. After spending $240 for an estimate (outrageous) at the dealer, we were told repairs would cost $1900. Since car drove fine, we determined we'd delay the work to try and save up the massive amount of money.
Fast forward to last week when the car refused to start. We had it towed to the dealership only to be told we had a dead FOB battery and another $240 to find that out. A day later, the car died again, we had it towed again. Dead battery. I had it out with the dealership about a second $240 charge and went further to insist that the first charge should be applied to the major repairs we needed to have done.
Three days later, the work is done, the check engine light is off, and we're now another $2200 in debt. But thankfully, friends were kind enough to loan us the money interest free. Had I charged it, we'd be paying 29% interest on top of the $2200. Post bankruptcy credit cards always have massive interest rates.
The car has 88,000 miles. Hopefully there are no more repairs for a good while. But given that a new, used car would require a down payment, plus monthly payments of at least $300 per month, (probably closer to $500)- putting $2000 into this car to keep it running as long as possible isn't a bad deal. No way we could afford a car payment. We're going to get at least 175,000 miles out-of this car.”
