32 years ago today the Canadian government honored a land claim to create the Territory of Nunavut. Congratulations to the Inuit of the North!
Happy Nunavut Day!

Has The View been on that long? I remember that enormous fat cunt Star Jones saying it sounded too much like "None of it"

A native or long-term resident of Nunavut is called a Nunavummiuq (plural: Nunavummiut).

It sounds like what Murray makes Bess pronounce before he asks her if she wants to be the anchorkid.

I visited Kuglatuk, Cambridge Bay and Grise Fjord in Nunavut last fall when I did a cruise of the Northwest Passage and the west coast of Greenland and the Nunavutians were very nice and welcoming.

That gives me a chance to repeat one of my favorite jokes:
A baby seal walks into a bar. The bartender says "What'll you have?"
The seal says "Anything but a Canadian Club."

I have respect for people who live in harsh climates - be it cold or hot.
However, it also feels really dumb and cult-like. "This is our way of life - we LOVE IT HERE! We need to preserve our traditions!"
Nah dude - you all need to move. It's 2025. You're lying to yourself and sacrificing your life because of your ancestors' mistake.
Sometimes you're just born in a shitty place - it sucks, but you need to GTF out. That goes for a lot of small town/rural red states in the US as well. No jobs, ain't shit to do, nothing exciting ever and everyone knows your business.
It just feels like a cult. Any place where people aren't moving TO and many people are moving away from - that's a sign.
