[quote] Nyx?

I’m just a girl whose name says ‘No!’

by Anonymousreply 15July 9, 2025 3:55 AM

I don't think these are as horrible as all the -lyn/lynne/leigh names.

Noa is traditionally a Jewish girl's name, so I guess it's just Noa minus the h. And I think Bode is pronouced Bo-dee. But Nyx??? There a ton of black cats named Nyx.

Gen Z has a rabid hatred of Israel yet seems to be obsessed with giving their children Israeli names.

by Anonymousreply 23July 9, 2025 7:12 AM

Truce and Halo are killing me!

Does anyone else know millenials and younger who are named whatever the most common names were at the time they were born? It's hard not to wince when meeting them. Also, people with "unique" names, who have to spell them for everyone they meet?

by Anonymousreply 24July 9, 2025 7:28 AM

I like Grow for a little girl.

by Anonymousreply 25July 9, 2025 7:38 AM

I'm sorry Futon and Chandelier didn't make the list.

It's better than being named "Jettson."

by Anonymousreply 27July 9, 2025 9:21 AM

Fastest rising

If I name my first child xxxxx and my second child xxxxx as well then I have a very fast rising increase of 100% increase for xxxxx as names for kids in my make believe family.
